The Blues Foundation said it rescinded Mr. Shepherd‘s nomination in light of “continuing revelations of representations of the Confederate flag” on his automobile, guitars and elsewhere. Mr. Shepherd, a two-time Blues Awards winner, said in a statement the decision was made because of concerns involving a replica he owns of the “General Lee” car from the “Dukes of Hazzard” TV series. The 43-year-old blues guitarist acknowledged his Dodge Charger had

I don't know who Kenny Wayne Shepherd is, but I think I'm going to go buy a Confederate flag now.

Be glad, Kenny. The Grammys mean nothing in reality...I mean, Milli Vanilli won!

The image of the Confederate battle flag must be completely eliminated from this country? Then I guess it's just a matter of time before Lynyrd Skynyrd is stripped of its two Grammys and booted from the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

This will certainly go a long way to making it safer for young black men in Chicago this weekend.

Really? It's a CAR! What's next? Taking away awards from people because they own an Escalade or other big SUV? Punishing artists because they do not own a Prius or other virtue signaling electric vehicle? Maybe they should take away nominations if artists didn't use solar or wind power to produce their records. God forbid if you are from New York and you sing about life in Georgia or Wyoming....Cultural Appropriation....take away those nominations too... This idiocy could go on and on. How about just protecting everyone's feeling from being hurt and stop wasting time on these stupid awards that nobody cares about (except Taylor Swift so she can publicly shame her latest Ex).

He's one of the finest blues guitarists on the planet, but hey, we can't have him "promoting" symbols that gives the left a bout of the vapors, now can we?

I’ve had a Confederate flag for 37 years but soon after purchasing and having it on my barracks room wall, some of my tanned friends were genuinely hurt by it. Not joking. Keeping their respect and friendship was infinitely more valuable to me than this old battle flag. The 19 yr old boy who thought it represented rebelliousness had been without close black friends since he’d left Indiana in ‘79 and learned how unnecessarily hurtful it was to certain people. It got folded up and hasn’t seen light since then, but today’s FBI would guess it’s in a chest right next to a Klan robe.

The Blues Foundation? A corporate mothership for blues artists? How utterly grade A ridiculous. The blues come from the heart, the blues are the epitome of a personal form of music about a person’s life and troubles and no phony-baloney money laundering operation that calls itself a foundation has any kind of authority to say who plays or doesn’t play well.

Please remind me exactly which amendment to the Constitution guarantees Lie-Berals don't ever have to be offended.
I read over my copy of the Constitution, and I just can't find it. But clearly it must be in there somewhere, since Lie-Berals seem to be eternally butt-hurt and demanding anything and anyone who offends them be "cancelled".

#12, it’s right there next to John Conyer’s beloved “good and plenty” clause. Or as Nancy Pelosi said, eyes wide with amusement and arms aflutter in her trademark imitation of a vulture, “Are you serious? Are you serious?” after being asked about the constitutionality of a bill passed in the U.S. House of Representatives.

I love good blues, but had not heard of him. Just asked Alexa to play some, good stuff! The awards folks of all strips can shove it in my humble opinion.

Wait'll they find out that the old cracker on the one-dollar bill was a large-scale slaveowner, and that slaves were imported into this country on ships that flew the same flag used by New America to this day, albeit with more stars on it. We're Marxist now, so the past must go. Burn, baby, burn.
