A former employee of Panda Express has filed a lawsuit against the company, claiming that it urged its employees to complete a training seminar in which she was forced to strip down to her underwear in front of other participants and subsequently hug a male participant who was also in his underwear, also in front of other participants. Panda Express has since issued a statement denying ownership or control of the seminar and insisting that it did not mandate attendance.
The lawsuit claims that some Panda Express employees were led to believe participating in the seminar would enhance their chances at promotion,

These “seminars” have come a long way from the time when executive retreats engaged psychologists to do them and the worst thing was having to fall backwards and trust another person to catch you.

So this idiot lowers herself down to willingly stripping down in a "training session" then chooses to sue her employer over her ridiculously bad judgment? Really now?

Those HR folks (putting up all the cutsie posters around the office and setting up celebrate diversity meetings) are running out of ideas to justify their existence.

The seminar sounds horrific, but why do people go along with being asked to do things like this? Just leave.

These stupid seminars, counseling, and training sessions are nothing more than employment for sociology and H.R. majors. The companies that hire them should be ashamed.

Its amazing how much people blindly follow someone in position of 'authority'. That's how things like this happen.
I recall a seminar host who was quite surprised when he asked someone for their wallet, and the person actually handed their wallet over. They weren't expecting it, and were quite embarrassed. They thought they had asked something that nobody would obey, and found out they were wrong.

She did it for a chance at promotion, but because she didn't get the promotion, she wants to sue? Can you be any stupider?

I do not know WHY anyone would comply with such a stupid request. She should have said NO, THAT shows leadership. People are SO weak its frightening.

This is way over the top. I always dreaded the ''Team Building'' seminars but no one had to strip down.

This is diabolical. The first thing that came to my mind when thinking about this scenario is the Jews being forced to disrobe before they walked into gas chambers. These scenarios are NOT about "diversity."

How can this be wrong? The Biden administration says men who "identify" as women are entitled to use female facilities any time they want to, and that women who are "embarrassed" are the problem.
The administration expects women to disrobe in front of males whether they like it or not, because males get to choose the facility they're most comfortable in.
That's the tradeoff for female athletes. They must compete against males, AND they have no right to privacy. Women are expected to comply to please their government. Panda Express expects women to be similarly compliant. They're not completely naked, but nearly so, and are required to lower their own physical boundaries, with orders to touch and hug other workers (also manipulated into suffering humiliation) this time arranged by their employer. Bring on the lawsuits for both crackpot ideas.

I remember the first one of those sexual harassment seminars we had at work in the late 80s. Several videos of actors and actresses harassing and being harrassed.
At break, I asked my HR friend if I was in actor on one of those videos, could I file a complaint about being sexually harassed on the job.

"People do what you let them" If this maneuver worked on other classes, someone is enjoying their power. There is no way somebody didn't complain before this. Panda is out of their mind if they claim innocence.

Attended many such seminars in the 80s. They were not only mandatory, but if you wanted to be promoted, you had to praise and cheer them. People publically tolerated them and privately mocked them.

This sounds an awful lot like yet another rebirth of Werner Ehrhardt and EST, Landmark, the Forum, etc.
These are mind control cults. Every few years they change the name and continue on....same as ever. They prey on vulnerable people or threaten their livelihood.
I recently was somewhat taken in by a similar scheme which I withdrew from, and the comment made to me was 'People come and people go, but the mission remains the same.
Where does Werner live now? And why? Interested people will take the time to find out. I'd suggest doing that before doing any of these seminars.

Retired HR trainer here. I was on the platform the better part of 25 years, and not once did anyone in my workshops have to strip down in front of anyone. I’d like to see the learning objective that stripping down was supposed to demonstrate. Panda Express is either felony stupid or were defrauded by a training company. Or both.

Someone needs their butt kicked for setting this thing up. Meanwhile, since the employees were required to show employee ID numbers and were given stuff with the Panda logo on it. Panda Express should be prepared to pay up.
