Meghan’s Misery

Mrs. Clinton, who knows a thing or two about phoniness, praised Meghan Markle’s decision to speak of her “mental health” before tens of millions of her very closest counselors. Mrs. Clinton said it was brave of her, but brave was not the word for it; exhibitionist would have been better, together, perhaps, with scheming, opportunist, histrionic, self-serving, egotistical, and shallow, amongst other things. If there were a Nobel Prize for self-pity, Ms. Markle would have been a strong contender—rather like Mrs. Clinton herself. The very idea of mental health as being anything other than the absence of raving madness (which undoubtedly exists) is an invitation to superficiality.

I apologize, I guess, but I just don't understand the fascination, especially here in the states, with the United Kingdom's Royal Family. A big fat "who cares?" here.

Well worth reading even if you couldn’t care less about the Markles. I especially loved this phrase: “the self-indulgence of Meghanish emotional incontinence.”

My ex wife has a sympathy seeking Syndrome. It’s her drug of choice. She throws a pity party all the time and seeks out people that will co-sign all of her bull crap and dish out sympathy like Nancy Pelosi dishes out stimulus money. Ohhhhh you poor thing.... I just don’t know how they could do that to you.... I feel soooo sorry for you.....

This all boils down to Meghan acting like an eighth grader making a mountain of of a molehill with her complaining about a disagreement with her sister in law concerning what clothing that children were scheduled to wear to a Royal function, that had to be carried out in accordance with a tradition that Meghan never took the time to understand. That’s really Harry’s fault, as if Harry were paying attention and Meghan told him that she was having mental problems, Harry could easily have obtained the best confidential mental health counseling in London for Meghan, and he would have made sure that before Meghan married him that she recognized fully that it would be expected that she learn and live in accordance those long-standing Royal traditions of duty and service that is expected of the Royal family and that cannot and will not be changed to suit her wishes. That’s tough for an unknowing American from Hollywood, California, to get used to doing. Even for people who grew up in the UK, as looking back Harry has a history of being involved with a number of young women who were “10’s” and descended from the aristocracy in the UK, who understood the Royal lifestyle commitment and for one reason or another did not want to live traditional Royal Family lives, who then broke up with Harry, and went their own ways.

It’s simple, she’s determined to get her own way - whatever that is at the moment - and it doesn’t matter who gets in her way. I doubt she’ll succeed anywhere near the heights she’s blindly aiming for.

What do frontline health care workers and first responders know about COVID-19 vaccines that politicians and their public health advisers don’t? According to a January analysis by Gallup, 51 percent of health care workers and first responders polled in December were unconvinced of the merits of getting vaccinated, even if the vaccine “was free, available, FDA approved and 90% effective.” Gallup found these results especially concerning since those at highest risk of exposure to COVID-19—the professionals required to meet America’s health, safety, and critical economic needs whom the National Academies of Engineering, Science and Medicine define as “Tier 1A workers”—were the likeliest to refuse vaccination (34 percent).

It’s embarrassing. Our corrupt, partisan media are embarrassing. Thursday night, President Joe Biden gave a speech to mark the one-year anniversary of the World Health Organization’s delayed acknowledgment of the COVID-19 pandemic that China unleashed upon the world. The media swooned. The speech was delivered off a Teleprompter by a man who wasn’t inspiring even when he had better command of his faculties decades ago. It was ungracious, going out of its way to refuse to acknowledge his predecessor’s Operation Warp Speed, the only pandemic response that has worked. And it worked so well: throwing money at private developers and getting rid of  regulatory hurdles to do the impossible of obtaining vaccines within a few months.
