Lapdog Corrupt Media Coverage Of Biden’s
Carteresque Speech Is Embarrassing

Original Article

It’s embarrassing. Our corrupt, partisan media are embarrassing. Thursday night, President Joe Biden gave a speech to mark the one-year anniversary of the World Health Organization’s delayed acknowledgment of the COVID-19 pandemic that China unleashed upon the world. The media swooned. The speech was delivered off a Teleprompter by a man who wasn’t inspiring even when he had better command of his faculties decades ago. It was ungracious, going out of its way to refuse to acknowledge his predecessor’s Operation Warp Speed, the only pandemic response that has worked. And it worked so well: throwing money at private developers and getting rid of  regulatory hurdles to do the impossible of obtaining vaccines within a few months.

Comments:

And we thought nothing could be worse than Carter’s “malaise” speech...

FTA: See, the White House had asked reporters earlier in the day to spread their preferred messaging that the speech was uplifting, unifying, and hopeful. So they did. Before he gave it, the media dutifully claimed that was what the speech would do. After the speech was over, they reiterated this propaganda talking point, even though the speech was not at all what was promised.

Sorry. No one is embarrassed. The jackass has brayed, and everyone is cooing about what a noble bray it was. Chris Matthews has more tingles in his legs. Oh, there are some 80,000,000 disenfranchised voters out here between the coasts who are a little upset. We can't get to Congress. The National Guard (no ammo) and 10 feet of fence, topped with barbed wire, are intended to keep us, our guns, and our Bibles out of there. Anyone attempting to enter will be greeted as was Ashlii Babbitt. And she isn't talking. It is kind of hard to talk when you are dead. Trump had nothing to do with the vaccines or the virus. All the vaccines were personally made by Joe Biden, *President of the United States. Just ask him. Oh, I'm sorry. He is not taking questions. In the Bible the birth of Jesus was preceded by a donkey talking with the voice of a man. We are now led by a man speaking with the voice of a donkey.

“Biden Tells Nation There Is Hope After a Devastating Year.” “Hopeful Biden Says, ‘I Need You.’” “Biden Sets Vaccine Goal That Would Allow Americans To Gather By July 4.” These headlines, from the covers of the printed New York Times, LA Times, and Boston Globe, greeted Americans Friday morning, 51 days into the Biden presidency and a full year into the beginnings of America’s long lockdown experiment. “Seven Takeaways From Biden’s Prime-Time Address” topped CNN’s site. Chris Cillizza’s first two “takeaways”? “Donald Trump dug the hole” was number one. Number two? “A return to empathy.” Chris Cillizza, it’s worth noting, is a 45-year-old man and does not

The polling, most especially out of Britain — or is it “England” or “Great Britain”? — has made it pretty clear that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s weekend appearance with Billionaire Race-Hoaxer Oprah Winfrey was a big mistake. You can see the polling here, here, and here. What do frontline health care workers and first responders know about COVID-19 vaccines that politicians and their public health advisers don’t? According to a January analysis by Gallup, 51 percent of health care workers and first responders polled in December were unconvinced of the merits of getting vaccinated, even if the vaccine “was free, available, FDA approved and 90% effective.” Gallup found these results especially concerning since those at highest risk of exposure to COVID-19—the professionals required to meet America’s health, safety, and critical economic needs whom the National Academies of Engineering, Science and Medicine define as “Tier 1A workers”—were the likeliest to refuse vaccination (34 percent).

Mrs. Clinton, who knows a thing or two about phoniness, praised Meghan Markle’s decision to speak of her “mental health” before tens of millions of her very closest counselors. Mrs. Clinton said it was brave of her, but brave was not the word for it; exhibitionist would have been better, together, perhaps, with scheming, opportunist, histrionic, self-serving, egotistical, and shallow, amongst other things. If there were a Nobel Prize for self-pity, Ms. Markle would have been a strong contender—rather like Mrs. Clinton herself. The very idea of mental health as being anything other than the absence of raving madness (which undoubtedly exists) is an invitation to superficiality.
