Last fall, the U.S. Air Force simulated a conflict set more than a decade in the future that began with a Chinese biological-weapon attack that swept through U.S. bases and warships in the Indo-Pacific region. Then a major Chinese military exercise was used as cover for the deployment of a massive invasion force. The simulation culminated with Chinese missile strikes raining down on U.S. bases and warships in the region, and (Snip)assault on the island of Taiwan.
The highly classified war game, which has not been previously made public, took place less than a year after the coronavirus(Snip) spread to the crew of the USS Theodore Roosevelt

Yahoo couldn’t be bothered adding a bio for Mr. Kitfield. His long, substantial bio may explain why they omitted it:
James Kitfield has written on defense, national security and foreign policy issues from Washington, D.C. for over two decades. He is a three-time winner of the Gerald R. Ford Award for Distinguished Reporting on National Defense, most recently in 2009 for his first-hand reporting on the Afghan War and other ongoing conflicts and threats. He has twice won the Military Reporters and Editors Association award and the Medill School of Journalism’s top prize for excellence in reporting for his first hand coverage of the war in Afghanistan (2009) and the surge in Iraq (2008). He is a recipient of the 2002 Stewart Alsop Media Excellence Award, sponsored by the Association of Former Intelligence Officers, for his coverage of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks and follow-on events. He received the 2001 Peter R. Weitz Prize from the German Marshall Fund for excellence in reporting on European affairs, and the 2000 Edwin Hood Award for Diplomatic Correspondence given annually by the National Press Club to recognize excellence in reporting on diplomatic and foreign policy issues.
Kitfield is the author of the books War & Destiny (Potomac Books, 2005) and Prodigal Soldiers (Simon & Schuster, 1995). He appears frequently on radio and television, including as a regular guest on National Public Radio’s Diane Rehm Show, on Public Broadcasting’s Washington Week with Gwen Ifill, and on The NewsHour With Jim Lehrer. His articles have appeared in The National Interest, Omni, Newsday, Los Angeles Magazine, Army Times, Air Force Magazine, The Stars & Stripes, Off Duty, and other publications. Kitfield is a 1978 magna cum laude graduate of the University of Georgia’s Henry Grady School of Journalism.

A Russian general stated back in the 80's that in the event of war with China, they would have to use nukes. The Russian general admitted that there was no way to stop a 100 million man army conventionally. And that was before China modernized.
I believe that we can defeat a Chinese invasion of CONUS, but I have no confidence that we could beat them in Asia. Our air superiority, naval superiority, intelligence and electronic warfare capabilities won't win against a numerically superior foe. Germany and France learned that when they took on Russia.
Motivation, determination, creativity and manpower will carry the day.

A war with China would be devastating, win or lose.
If they waste their effort attacking us, they have our latest technology since they have financial interest in many of out defense and dual-use industries along with help for people like Hunter. Politicians see to it that we will be energy-deficient by destroying our energy industry. (For some reason, windmills on top of airplanes don't work well.) They could destroy our military in short order. Just-in-time production won't work very well for bombs or anything else when needed on a battlefield immediately. Winning this way would be almost certain, but a needless waste of effort on their part.
It would be much cheaper, easier, and more effective for propaganda purposes, for China to just shut off exports to the US for three or four months. Economic anti-business, and environmental naive policies don't allow us to produce much of anything here that we need to keep our economy going. Major electrical components such as large transformers, medicines, on down to the shoes we wear come from China. We can't even make our own underwear here. Even the masks Bidet wants us to wear two or three thick come from China.WE couldn't even use our Chinese iphones to gripe to each other about it. The U.S. would be helpless in short order.
I think China will go after Taiwan militarily. They are smart enough that when they want to Take on the U.S., they will just let us stew in our own juices, until done.

The American people will be attacked from two enemies, China military and Washington politicians.
The media and democrats will tell them which targets to hit first.

We would surely lose if we fight a limited war like we did in Vietnam. However, it is a moot point because we already surrendered to the CCP on January 6th, 2021.

China knows that Biden is a weak kitten regarding his policies toward China, economically and militarily, and not just because China can blackmail him. Given his mental weakness he makes former weakling President Jimmy Carter look like a war monger with a steel backbone.

The Chinese have been building up their submarines. Anyone remember who last used submarines to dominate the North Atlantic?
Our air force relies on satellites - cybertechnology - who is working to dominate that?
China expert Michael Pillsbury has a lot to say about this sort of thing in The Hundred-Year Marathon which is about China’s slow and steady plan to become the #1 power in the world, replacing the United States. The hundred years end in 2049.

Covid was just a probe. Without really even trying, they took a strategic asset - a deployed nuclear-powered strike carrier - off the line of battle for several months. And you can bet that there's much-nastier stuff in their biological/chemical arsenal.
China isn't interested in a conventional war of attrition but if they were, consider this: 10% of their population taking up arms against us and we're able to inflict a million casualties a year means the conflict would still go on for over a century. And long gone are the days when we could throw up 10,000+ tactical aircraft against an invasion of either coast.

And guess who is helping the Chicoms gain the biological capabilities - Faucci sending millions of US dollars to their labs, the WHO supporting them testing on the world (COVID), and our politicians, academics and some military who are being "influenced" by Chinese money (and honey pots).

Well the Indian soldiers didn't seem to have a difficult time beating the Chinese. Even in a fist fight.

Trump was our last hope. The Democrats don’t give a s—-about China, and our generals want to allow transgender surgery and comfortable uniforms for pregnant females in the service. In his second term, he would have fired everyone in the military hierarchy and replaced them with real men. Trump is the only leader who understands what is going on, but these pansies in the Democrat Party got in his way with a dishonest election. This farce we have now has to end!

It’s like common sense that if any kinetic warfare that breaks out without warning In China or along the China coast involving both China and the USA, that the initial advantage will rest with China, that is until the USA and its allies get to deploy sufficient military assets to the area. Then who knows!

If the Chinese knew with have diversity trained officers, that would end any plans they might have of attacking Taiwan.

If the Feds take our guns why wouldn't China take us? If we have a strong militia then they would be crazy to come and try to kill their best customers.
