The body of a New Orleans realtor, 29, has been found in the back seat of his car after he arranged to sell his dirt bike to a 20-year-old man on Facebook Marketplace who has since admitted to shooting him dead. Joseph Vindel died Sunday after leaving his home in New Orleans and traveling to the town of Harvey, Jefferson Parish, to meet up with prospective buyer Jalen Harvey. Vindel, who his family said was excited about his new career in real estate, vanished and was never seen alive again. Harvey allegedly shot and killed Vindel in his car before driving

Comments:

Selling a dirt bike while WHITE should not equate to a death sentence, but the man with a promising future let his guard down. The killer, as is standard, has previous arrests for burglary of inhabited premises and illegal carrying of a firearm, but no convictions as he probably was given "another chance" time and again.

Alright, the person doing the crime is exactly who I suspected. I try to keep a Christian attitude about most things in life, but I'm sorry, it was the first thing I thought of.

A number of local police departments have set up monitored parking lots where such transactions can be more safely conducted. This could have easily been prevented.

Been at this for many years so I rarely click on these stories these days. The headlines say enough. It's always the same cast of characters -- "Central casting, please send over a murdering perp ASAP" and the same dude keeps showing up. McDonald's, Chuck E. Cheese, the subway, Planet Earth; doesn't matter. Same guy. Probably time to recirculate John Derbyshire's "The Talk: Non-Black Version" again. It's still out there.

pay attention to #2's post. If you make such transactions, do it in a police department parking lot. If the other person is a crook, he won't agree to the location, or won't show up/

Kingdom come… to Prince Charles’ defense. Members of The Kingdom’s Choir—who performed at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding—are speaking up in defense of Prince Charles as the royal family faces allegations of racism stemming from the Sussexes’ Sunday night pow-wow with Oprah Winfrey. Ms. Karen Gibson, founder and conductor of The Kingdom’s Choir, told TMZ Thursday that it was Prince Charles who invited the African-American group to bless the congregation during Harry and Meg’s nuptials, an invitation she believed to be sincere. She also claims Charles has gone “out of his way” to congratulate them on their success since the event.

Washington—In a highly unusual breach of security last month at the air base that operates the Air Force One presidential aircraft, an apparently aimless intruder went undetected for several hours and walked on and off an airplane on the flight line before his quirky headgear gave him away. Buried within the $1.9 trillion emergency spending bill that Congress sent to President Joe Biden's desk on Wednesday is a provision that could effectively block states from cutting taxes if they accept federal bailout dollars. That provision, added to the bill by the Senate last week, could put a halt to several states' plans to cut taxes this year as a way to stimulate economic growth following the COVID-19 pandemic. Depending on how the text is interpreted, the measure could also make it illegal for states to create new tax credit programs like the ones that have become a popular mechanism for expanding school choice.
