The five Oklahoma City police officers charged with first-degree manslaughter after a 15-year-old boy was fatally shot while allegedly attempting to rob a convenience store have been pictured for the first time.
Stavian Rodriguez was shot 13 times by officers responding to reports of an attempted armed robbery at a convenience store on November 23 last year. The officers who have been charged after firing lethal rounds are: Bethany Sears, Jared Barton, Corey Adams, John Skuta and Brad Pemberton. If convicted, they could face up to life in prison. A sixth officer, Sarah Carli, was the first to fire
Don’t feel sorry for the prep... Something has to happen to set the police off to open for. And I’m sure that the truth will come out during the trial. Too bad good cops have to put up with this...

He came out the building after committing armed robbery with gun in hand. Ordered by police to drop the gun, he drops the gun. AND THEN IN A MOTION THAT CONTINUES SEEMLESSLY FROM THE GUN DROP HE STARTS REACHING BEHIND HIS BODY WITH HIS LEFT HAND INTO HIS POCKET OR WAISTBAND. He'd have been dead if he had done that after breaking into my house.

BLM and Antifa will be all over this. NOT! The kid was white. Nothing racist there (/s).
You are one second from dying if a cop has a gun drawn on you. This is not hard to understand. Keep your hands in sight. Do what the police say. Want to avoid getting in to a situation like this? Don't break the law. Don't take anything that impedes your ability to think clearly (no drugs, no alcohol).

Fifteen and he's already robbing gas stations. Compare that loss with five lives potentially spent in prison, and OKC having to recruit and train five new cops.

I'm getting mad at the cops getting in trouble for keeping thugs from doing more harm. Dummies, don't run from the cops. Stop when they say stop. Say yes sir, no sir. Show your hands. Act like a human and all will be just fine. I promise.

Looks like the cops thought that the perpetrator had a second weapon either in his belt or in a pocket on his left side. But who knows for sure?

It's hard to tell how old a kid is after looking at his gun.

I hadn’t heard about this until now. Didn’t the press cover the nights of rioting? Oh...

A current check of police departments' employment numbers reveals that there many that are severely understaffed. They spend thousands each year trying to fill empty positions, to no avail. Recruiting teams attend job fairs and go to schools trying to get applicants, and return with none.
Bottom line; almost noone wants the job now. Droves of officers, many with years of valuable experience, are "hitting the door" because the risks are no longer worth it (not the risk of injury or death - the risk of being crucified and/or jailed for a tough call).
On top of that, criminals are more emboldoned than ever, and more willing to challenge the police, resulting in more frequent violence against them. It's all a recipe for chaos. I don't think it's unintentional either.
We should be very concerned.

Rodriguez is not merely dead,
He’s really most sincerely dead.

I worked in a crisis mental ward. The law would often bring someone into the ward, remove the cuffs and leave.
On one occasion the patient pulled the officer'ss gun from the officer's his holster an shot the officer dead.
The patient the jumped out of a window.
Other police arrived and ended up shooting the patient dead.
LESSON? Do not shoot policemen.

When the parents start teaching their children not to run, to say yes sir , no sir and comply with what they are told to do; these stories will only continue. It's NOT the cops fault; it's their parents.

Surest way not to get shot by the police - don't hold up a store with a gun. It's that simple.

Armed robber makes a sudden move into his waistband and is shot dead. All parties are WHITE, proving indisputably that bad outcomes are possible to anyone involved in a high-tension exchange with the police. Can we have our culture back now?
