Blackout: White House curbs press,
public access as Biden struggles
with public demands of job

Throughout his presidential campaign and continuing since taking the White House, Joe Biden has promised a transparent approach to press and public relations. Yet in recent weeks, his administration has closed off — at least for now — several key avenues via which the press and public have for years gained a modicum of transparency, accessibility and accountability from the White House. These moves to curb press and public access come as President Joe Biden himself has at times appeared to be struggling with the public demands of his job.

Comments:

I disagree that Biden is struggling. "Dr." Jill is more than capable of handling the job.

"Struggling with the public aspects of his job"? I don't think he's even ATTEMPTING the "aspects of his job," public or otherwise. He's struggling with putting together a complete sentence and remembering who and where he is. The blackout isn't hiding Joe. Everyone knows he's clueless. The blackout is to keep us from learning who is really running our country. And he's living a few blocks from the White House, if not already sitting in the Oval with ValJar by his side and his feet up on the desk.

This is like a nightmare farce! There appear to be few in the House and the Senate who comprehend the depth of our anger at what they have allowed/furthered to happen to our beautiful America. They had better get really busy! getting rid of the crooked machines and election officials... re-closing the border, working for the economy & jobs instead of against them, stop all the nonsense about transgender and LGBT, and halt China & Iran & other invasions. No wonder Dems want a protective fence around the capitol. Evil is rampant against our childrens' future... and we totally do not like it!

Limiting access by the fake media to Biden and his crew will just give the fake media more time to invent more fake news, as they must satisfy their editors and supervisors with enough BS to fill TV time slots and newspaper pages or they will be gone.

Missouri Republican Sen. Roy Blunt announced Monday plans to retire from the Senate, saying he will not run for re-election in 2022. Blunt made the announcement in a video posted on YouTube. Blunt said in a video that "after 14 general election victories — three to county office, seven to the United States House of Representatives, and four statewide elections — I won’t be a candidate for reelection to the United States Senate next year." The 71-year old Blunt, a member of Senate GOP leadership, said that he will finish out his current term, which runs through the end of next year.

Venezuela said it will introduce new large-denomination bolivar notes as hyperinflation renders most bills worthless, forcing citizens to turn to the U.S. dollar for everyday transactions. The country’s central bank posted a statement on its website Friday saying it would begin circulating the new 200,000, 500,000 and 1,000,000 bills to “fulfill the current economy’s requirements” without providing further details.

The White House is bracing for a worsening situation at the U.S.-Mexico border as President Biden faces criticism from both political parties over the influx of migrant children. Biden's No. 1 priority remains the coronavirus pandemic. But the flow of asylum-seekers threatens to overwhelm the country's immigration system after it was overhauled by former President Donald Trump in ways that irritated Democrats. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas was dispatched this week to brief reporters at the White House, repeatedly blaming Trump's administration for the country's immigration predicament and warning it would "take time" to undo its "cruelty."

Merrick Garland is finally getting his day before the Senate. Garland, President Joe Biden’s pick to be attorney general, will appear before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Monday for the first day of his confirmation hearings, scheduled to continue through the week. The hearings were delayed amid some partisan squabbling while Democrats and Republicans struggled to come to a power-sharing agreement in the evenly divided Senate. Those delays came after Garland was denied any hearings at all in 2016, when former President Barack Obama nominated the centrist judge to the Supreme Court following the death of Justice Antonin Scalia, the conservative stalwart.

I’m probably second to none in my dislike for Meghan Markle. There’s something unattractive about a mature woman marrying into the British Royal family with one of the world’s most expensive weddings, hanging out with the Queen, living in insane luxury…and then whining non-stop about the horror of her life. There’s something even less appealing when that woman accuses the Royal family of race hatred. And the problem is that, when it comes to that left-wing diva, Meghan Markle, it’s hard to believe most of what she says. After weeks of hype, CBS finally televised Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah.
