For a couple of years, my wife and I escaped Obama’s America by owning a Pacific Ocean hotel in San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua. The irony was that in supposedly socialist Nicaragua, Daniel Ortega's government left us alone far more than government did in the supposedly free country of the United States of Obama.
Still, while Ortega 2.0 might have shed most of his socialism, he had not shed his lust for power, and the job of making sure he never lost again was that of the Chief Justice Roberto Rivas Reyes of what is in effect the Nicaraguan Supreme Court.

Merrick Garland's testimony as he goes up for AG is an uncommon glimpse into just how far left he really is, disguised by the media-promoted sheen as a moderate. McConnell's gamble did save us one radical Supreme Court Justice back in 2016, but we're seeing now how far left the rest of the SCOTUS has already moved. Roberts is a spineless disgrace.

I still cannot understand how the most vaunted legal minds in this country regarding the Constitution can actually make a decision like this. It tramples the Constitution and Bill of Rights. The consent of the governed has been turned upside down. We are governed by the consent of the elites and that now has been codified by the highest court in the land. We have no recourse against this. Where do we go to air our grievances? Although I am gobsmacked by this decision, I am not surprised. The lack of women and men of integrity and courage is the driving factor in this decision. Edmund Burke’s words keep ringing in my ears. The only thing necessary for evil to prosper is that good men do nothing. Can anyone explain Kavanaugh’s and Barrett’s thinking on this? Democrats usurping the role of the legislature as defined by the Constitution seems to be a no brainer. However, these two have sentenced the rest of us to future elections that will be awash in fraud. Foolishly, I believed the Justices would make decisions based upon the Constitution, but apparently a threat of violence or unrest carries more weight. I am still shaking my head over this travesty. How could they betray the country like this?

Now all 3 branches of our Government have been closed to Conservatives.
The dictatorship has begun in earnest.

Unfortunately for us, #3, cheating doesn't come naturally as it does for the Left. It's part of their very makeup. We would have to figure out how to do it and even then I'm sure it would be hugely uncomfortable and distasteful. God help us if that is the only solution.

I owe Mexico an apology.
I used to be all haughty about our "law and order", compared to their judges and police being controlled by the drug lords.
We now have corrupt executive, legislative and judicial branches. All we have left is the hope of intervention by our military against our enemies (foreign and domestic), or secession from these not so united states.

They are probably hoping for a packed SC; then they can be like their pubbie comrades in the legislature, make a conservative decision, and know that it won't matter. They are the loyal opposition. Then they can say, "See, we are constitutionalists; there are just more of them than us." They get to sleep nights that way, while doing nothing for We the People.
I no longer have faith in this country. A year ago, I would tell my students that this is the best country on earth and would exhale our system go governance, the system of checks and balances, etc. Now coward Roberts is influencing the rest of the SC to vote for "unity." Must have made a deal with Xhou Bi Den.

We have been bamboozled since the end of Reagan and only now the facade is rapidly falling off. Good men #2 will continue to do nothing as long as they have food in their bellies and a roof over their heads. This government has abandoned the citizens of this country and only serves the elite (this is how it has always been, only now they are showing their contempt after seeing the impact Trump had) and the court is no different. The options available to those who love freedom are becoming darker with each passing day.

#8 A corrupt congress will never impeach a corrupt supreme court justice. They are more likely to impeach the three justices that voted for the Constitution! A simple majority in the house and a trial in the senate is all it takes.
#9 and #10 Why would they need to pack a supreme court when they control the vote now. The root of the problem with Roberts, Kavanaugh and Barrett... they got in based on their approval by Mitch McConnell.
#2 "most vaunted legal minds in this country"? They are simply the ones (with the necessary credentials) that the political machine put forward. If the new ones are anything like Roberts, they went in with controlling strings firmly attached.
#12 You are right - there is a one world government coming that will work well...for 1000 years.

Mr. Wright, I disagree: "Those trying to challenge Pennsylvania’s obviously corrupt and rigged election system have been told that they cannot challenge the laws ahead of the election, because there is not yet a victim. They’ve been told that fellow Americans impacted by Pennsylvania’s corrupt system cannot challenge, because of standing. Now they’ve been told that they cannot challenge after the election, because it’s after the election - and therefore moot. "
Sir if the people cannot challenge the decision pre-election, then the court cannot rule pre-election on any decision.s
The legislature should have ignored the court, had them arrested for lawlessness. And went by legislative rule and power.
The judges broke Constitutional law. Only the legislature has power over elections.

FTA - "The decision to leave election law hidden beneath a shroud of doubt is baffling. By doing nothing, we invite further confusion and erosion of voter confidence."
Recall that a key political goal of the left is to destroy the integrity once inherent in our public election process. This gives the global elites carte blanche to install their puppets here wherever they want whenever they want how ever they want despite the public will.
Fellow Ldotter, Udanja99, has commented here about how election processes previously worked in Romania under the Ceaușescu dictatorship. Winning presidential elections with 100% of the vote. Riiiight. Russia, China, North Korea, Venezuela and Cuba have further perfected the game. And certainly Edmund Wright saw it for himself in Nicaragua. The comparison between this country's supreme court and ours is absolutely bone-chilling. Zigrid has commented about the Holocaust numerous times. Yet America slumbers.
I don't know. We are running out of options. A push to salvage our republic, as founded, at this stage appears to be out of reach for now. Our choices? Accept and live under a communist/fascist system here for the rest of our unworthy lives like most of the rest of the world does, shoot our way out of it, leave the union, employ the Pollyanna approach and replace deadwood in the pubbie party and SCOTUS and hope for the best, and/or pray to God for his intervention soonest. Which one(s) ?

The Supreme Court of the United States has become the Supreme Seven Cowards From Hell. I guess there is no fear of God in them. They can swear falsely and face no punishment. Roberts, Kavanaugh, and Barrett have a lot to answer for. Their oaths to preserve, defend, and protect the Constitution of the United States were falsely sworn. The only oath they fulfill is to keep the Mob happy.
The SCOTII seem to value their lives above all else. They want to keep their babies safe. They want to pay the Dane tax. And pay. And pay. And pay. Of course the Dane Tax can never be paid, Once you are dead it goes away.
Our Founders pledged their lives and their sacred honor.

"Our Supreme Court is now no more an agent of a free people than similar courts are in places like Venezuela and Nicaragua. Our nation is becoming ungovernable, because there is no reason for a thinking person to have any respect for our institutions like the FBI, The Justice Department, or our courts on any level. We are facing dark days indeed."
Let that last paragraph sink in. Maybe this is God's plan to remove all redress but through Him.

Schumer gave the Supreme Court a stark warning in a speech outside the Supreme Court building when he told them essentially by crossing the Democrat political agenda with their decisions that they would be reaping a political whirlwind. By doing that it looks like Schumer successfully intimidated the liberal Republican Roberts, and other recently confirmed Justices, that the Democrats could pack the court with additional extreme liberal Justices, or take other legislative actions that would diminish the authority of the Supreme Court as it is currently situated, including impeaching the three Justices nominated by Trump who the Democrats consider to have been an illegitimate and criminal President. Schumer is a liberal partisan Democrat so under the current double standard in DC that was “OK”, but if a Republican politician had done that, he or she would have been impeached by the Democrats and might even face a federal criminal charge of intimidating the Supreme Court.

You know,I now believe that aliens came down to earth years ago and started inhabiting our bodies. I mean, some people look the same, outwardly may act the same, but then they do stuff like this. As Justice Thomas says, "it's inexplicable." Not all on earth have so been inhabited, but just enough to where you look at these people, you look at the things they are doing to this country and shake your head and say what the hell is happening? How can any of this be happening? My only answer is, space aliens have invaded their bodies. Of course, for some reason they are leaving we true conservatives alone, but beware when some of us here start to change........
Of course, this is tongue in cheek. But someone, anyone please explain to me how this is happening? Imagine how Trump feels. One of his signature accomplishments, the courts, especially the Supreme Court, shot to hell with this newest calamity. Nothing makes sense anymore.

We, as a nation, have made some serious mistakes in this entire matter.
Mistake Number One, was permitting lawyers, that group of less worth than truckstop prostitutes, to become judges at ANY level.
Mistake Number Two, was going along with the loathsome obeisance to "stare decisis", the worship of "precedent", leading to the fiction that previous idiotic decisions constitute LAW *all hail, you peasants!), which is bogus.
Mistake Number Three was the notion of the Judiciary as being "co-equal " with the other two defined branches of our Feral government, leading to presumptions of superiority. The reality is, that the judiciary was envisioned as being the least powerful, least significant branch. Pernitting utterly wrong diktats (Marbury, Dresden Scott, Plyler, etc. ) to damage the nation horribly.
Mistake Number Four has been the lifetime appointments, removing any pretense of accountability and "consent of the governed), along with the trappings all too similar to those attendant to hereditary kings and dukes (all rise, Your Honor, etc.,) inconsistent with pretenses of self-government.
"When in the course of human events, it becomes necessary to ......" is here.

'The Left' in our country have become so aggressive and threatening, even those on our highest Court are apparently afraid of them. Very chilling, indeed, Mr. Wright. It appears they believe their children and other family members (and perhaps even they, themselves) will have to go into hiding and be relocated in the Witness Protection Program if they cross their Masters - the Democrats. This is a frightening turn of events for America and does not bode well for our nation's future - and freedom. It's going to take a person or group of tremendous influence and charisma to lead us in the other direction, as we are now headed down a dark road and into a darker place than we've ever been before.

Adding to #13 - the first thing will be legalizing 11-35 million new, bright, shiny new democrat voters to shore up their base (Vote For Me! More Free Stuff!), then comes a gun buy back with a felony conviction, a fine and 10 years in jail for not complying. If the democrats had been Machiavellian smart they would have done that within the first two years of the Obama administration instead of spending so much time on Obamacare.

Much of the blame for this descent into tyranny should go to the Heritage Foundation. They chose Gorsuch, Kavanaugh and Coney Barrett. We were told they were from the Federalist Society but it was the Heritage Foundation. Heritage fired Jim DiMint for being too Trumpist and replaced him with Black Woman twofer Kay James. Now Pence joins them.
I remember the enormous effort dear President Donald Trump poured into these ingrate judges. The Swamp is deep on the Republican side too. It is amazing that the three Marxist “Justices” always vote against our Nation while ours are cowards.
Please note that the issue of an election stolen by massive fraud never was considered by any court. But yes, Donald Trump won the vote and it was stolen by mail-in ballots and Dominion machine vote switching. We cannot talk about this obvious theft except in Lucianne and two other sites. Even American Thinker has apologized to our Dominion masters.
Cultural Marxism has been an extraordinary success. But our eyes are now wide open to Global Marxism thanks to the tireless efforts of Donald Trump the Great and will never give up.

#6, I used to think the largely patriotic US military and LEOs would never let this country be taken over by fascist, socialistic leftists intent on destroying it and remaking it into a tyrannical socialist dictatorship. Unfortunately, the left has recognized this and are now systematically neutralizing these two biggest threats to their utopian government.
First, we have the ongoing all-out assault on police by BLM and Antifa to basically neuter them as a law enforcement entity. And after the events of January 6, with control of all three branches of the government, the leftists have begun their determined program to proselytize the US military. Witness the DoD’s decision for a 60 day “stand down” of the military to address “exremism” and white supremacy within the ranks. While the details of just how this will be done remain sketchy, it smacks of what the Soviet Union did to ensure ideological “purity” within its military. Ultimately, the Communist Party embedded political commisars in every military unit whose job was to ensure that uniformrd personnel were toeing the ideological line, and to report those who weren’t or even were suspect. Thus, over the long haul, they were able to create a military totally devoted to the Soviet regime instead of to Mother Russia and its people.
As a vet, I never thought this could happen here, but I am afraid the leftist elitists now controlling our country see this - the co-opting of the US Miliary and neutralization of US Law enforcement - as key to their being able to control the American people. Conspiracy theory? Convince me this is not happening and I will gladly admit to being duped. But I am afraid we are well on our way to seeing the demise of two institutions we once could count on to stand up for the freedoms and rights of ordinary Americans citizens.

Used to be a Supreme Court. Then they decided they couldn't handle any big cases anymore because bad guys might jump in their parking lot and burn their cars.
Like they did that police car parked there for emergencies at the SCOTUS.
This is actually the first step of the shift from a REPUBLICAN FORM OF GOVERNMENT to a PARLIAMENTARY FORM OF GOVERNMENT, and from a WRITTEN CONSTITUTION to a CONSTITUTION AS DICTATED BY PARLIAMENT
The Senate will simply step in to fulfill the Constitutional judgment feature once provided by the SCOTUS.
The existing SCOTUS will soon be converted into a special district court for the Washington/BALTIMORE SMSA ~ particularly regarding zoning appeals and dog walks.
The House' next move will be to forget about election dates. Instead, the Speaker will simply declare an election, or a 4 year version of the Fixed-term Parliaments Act 2011 as in the UK.
Non state-based Senators could be added with the President appointing notable persons as needed, and the President himself subjected to a continual review pending impeachment and conviction.
I think it takes the recission of less than 50 years to convert the US to a parliamentary system, but certainly a few more than 100 to return it to a ROYAL STRUCTURE, albeit with a weak President and an even stronger House Speaker (or Prime minister)

#22- Although tongue-in-cheek about aliens, the reality of what has happened to our once God-fearing country is that our country has turned away from God. God has been taken out of public venues and further efforts are being made to suppress and oppress freedom of speech and religion as noted in another “Must Read” for today, “Equality Act Expected to Advance in Congress This Week: 'It Treats People of Faith as Second-Class Citizens'.”
Scripture makes clear that Satan has been thrown down to earth along with his angels. (Revelation 12:7-9, 17) St. Paul wrote about SPIRITUAL FORCES OF EVIL warning that “we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6:12). Lest anyone forget, Satan entered Judas Iscariot. (Luke 22:3).
In the last days, “people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, ... unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. ...” (2 Timothy 3:1-9)
Revelation warns about two beasts:
~ The First Beast / “And I saw a beast rising out of the sea, with ten horns and seven heads, with ten diadems on its horns and blasphemous names on its heads. ...” (Revelation 13:1-10) ~~~ Some translations identify the First Beast as “representing worldly power and political authority run amok.”
~ Mark of the Beast / “Also it causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead, so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name. ...” (Revelation 13:16-18)
What makes tragic sense is that our country has turned away from God in a variety of ways, personal and government--with government-sanctioned 61,628,584 abortions in this country since 1973 funded with taxpayer money.

Before the election, they couldn't rule because no one had been harmed yet. After the election and before Jan. 20, I guess no one had standing. Now the whole question is moot, since it's a done deal, and the steal is complete. At no time did the Supreme Court ever really plan to rule on election fraud, either because they were too afraid of the reaction of the left, or they were compromised in some way. Guess we no longer have a system of laws in America or courts that will give us justice. We have two systems of justice. One that we are strictly held to and prosecuted harshly, and one for them that gives them leniency at every opportunity.
