Mask Mandates Do
Not Save Lives

Original Article

Although some studies have concluded that masks help stop the spread of COVID-19, usually they have failed to replicate real-world situations. (snip) it makes sense to demand that states with mask mandates have lower COVID-19 death rates than states that don't. (snip) The question is, "Do states with mask mandates have lower COVID-19 death rates than states with no mandate?" (snip) States with a mask mandate: 13.0 deaths per 10,000 population. States with no mask mandate: 12.6 deaths per 10,000 population. (snip) the notion that masking up keeps us safe receives no support from the data.

We don't need any stinking data. We have science. We have Fauci: no mask today, one mask tomorrow, two masks the next day, then no mask. No evidence of where the stuff came from. Can't say China: it would hurt their feelings. No evidence of how the stuff spreads: contact tracing forbidden. But world on lockdown while the ChiComs take over. Study your Mandarin and practice your kowtow. In the east the Sun is Red.

Only one sentence is needed to prove that masks don’t work and I’ve been posting it here for months and months... If masks worked, the virus would have died off last May.

I believe (1) science can determine which types of masks may prevent the COVID-19 from reaching a person's eyes, nose and mouth, but only FROM BREATHING, and (2) and such testing has intentionally not been adequately studied because it's feared the test results might prove that most, if not all, masks are worthless (or nearly worthless) regarding preventing spread of the virus through breathing. The article discusses DEATHS from the virus. It would make more sense to compare cases of the virus rather than deaths because the cases to deaths ratios depend on many factors that have nothing to do with masks. Moreover, since we don't know how many people have had the virus or how many people have died from the virus, the "data" referenced in the article is far too indefinite to make valid comparisons.

This current pandemic is just the latest. There WILL be others - especially with global travel and scientists who do things they probably shouldn't do at all and certainly without adequate supervised protection. In 2017 the feds decided to allow resumption of viral GOF (gain of function) research. Guess where the NIH helped fund it. Yup, Wuhan at a lab that had been previously sanctioned for a breach of security some years ago. I do not think the Pandemic was a deliberate attempt at bio-warfare but when economies in the West flounder, China does think competitively. WE in turn need to be smart and avoid things which don't clearly work especially when possibly unnecessary behaviors put our economy on the skids.

I think, not based on studies like this but others, that masks don't work. They serve one purpose. They keep idiots from harassing you. This study though has a gigantic hole in it. It seems to assume that "states" are homogenous things where they are not. Looking at his raw data states with the highest population DENSITY have the highest rates for masked or maskless. Who's lowest ? Masked Maine or Maskless Alaska ? Population density ?

I think I read it here first - my rear end is double masked but I can still smell my flatulence. And, while "masked" I can smell the perfumes and after shave of people who pass by and the aromas from bakeries and restaurants. Where's Hunter?

Up the Down Staircase

“Up the Down Staircase” is a 1960s movie featuring an English teacher in an inner-city New York high school. Like other popular movies from years gone by, many are remade into a more woke or politically correct version. This past Friday, President Joe Biden remade the movie but in solo version, a soliloquy starring only himself. While ascending the staircase to Air Force One, Biden fell not once, not twice, but three times, going up the stairs. (snip) Biden not long ago criticized Trump for slowly walking down a slick ramp to avoid falling, a common sense move for everyone in their 70s

It was almost as if the Chinese knew that these are weak, self-loathing, confused men – and it turns out they did know. Tucker Carlson revealed on Friday that the Chinese have a word for Biden and the other White wokesters now in power. They call them “baizuo,” and can describe their values with stunning and disdainful accuracy.

(snip) The mainstream media has been praising nearly everything he does, but HE is not doing anything, and everyone is pretending that this doesn't matter. For the drive-by media, the Trump years were golden years. They could count on viewers and readers desperate to hear how horrible Trump was (and please, ignore the stellar economy, low unemployment, world peace, etc., because those just interfered with the narrative). What the New York Times discovered during the dislocations of 2020 and the nation-breaking of the Biden administration is that people desperate to find a respite from bad news like to play games. The paper is therefore planning to make a big move into the game market to diversify its revenue stream.

Almost two months into the Biden administration, it’s an open secret that Joe Biden won’t take spontaneous questions from the press. That’s why it was peculiar on Wednesday for a clip suddenly to appear purportedly showing Joe answering questions from random reporters somewhere in America. What was even more peculiar was that Joe’s hands magically passed through the microphones. In other words, the weird hand illusion (combined with other oddities) in the video suggests that the White House is disseminating fake videos to make it look as if Joe is talking spontaneously to the media. At first glance, the Bloomberg Quicktake video looks normal

A year after “15 days to flatten the curve” began our lockdowns, we have enough data to answer the classic question about lockdowns (which still exist a year later in many places, including much of California): cui bono? As a group: educated professionals, able to work from home via Zoom and other internet-based services and able to afford home delivery.

The Grand Guignol was a theater in Paris in the first half of the 20th-century that specialized in amoral horror entertainment. On Tuesday, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) gave his own version of Grand Guignol when he rained fire and brimstone on the Senate, detailing the horrors Democrats would suffer if they were to do away with the 215-year-old filibuster. He knew, of course, that his speech was meaningless because he already gave the filibuster away in January. Once it’s gone, Republicans will never again have the power to take revenge on the Democrats.

After a year now of dealing with the SARS-COV-2 virus, we have learned a great deal about the pandemic. The elusive goal has been to acquire herd immunity and have life go back to normal. However, our mainstream media and some governmental health authorities have ignored parts of the scientific picture that could help us understand herd immunity. They have placed excessive importance on vaccination as the only way to herd immunity. This is not entirely true. There is scientific data showing that we may be closer to herd immunity and the end of the pandemic than the media and government let on.
