Well, it’s on.
Donald Trump ended his post-presidency silence not with a blast at President Joe Biden, or at the Left, or at the House impeachment managers, but at the true enemy — Mitch McConnell.
The Trump forces aren’t forming a third party, but they do want to take over or — more accurately — maintain their current grip on the GOP, and McConnell is an obstacle.
The Senate minority leader declared his independence from Trump in his lacerating speech at the end of the Senate impeachment trial. McConnell’s speech is as close to catharsis as he comes in public, after years of what must have been pent-up frustration dealing with Trump

Just another Inside-the-belt "expert" , who because he is at belt-level, misses the heart of the country.

Poor little Dickie - - all his big boy friends let him down. Now he's got no one to play with.
Don't worry, Dickie - - mommie still loves you.

Hey Rich
We know you're an EXPERT
We also know that you don't realize that 2020 created 80 MILLION Trumps.
Good luck in 2022.

FTA:
"McConnell has cards." (Now that's a ringing endorsement for Mitch.)
McConnell would not have won reelection without President Trump's endorsement.

I actually like the first paragraph. I believe Trump is targeting Mitch to take him out. Trump is still running this party and I don't believe going away anytime soon. Of course Lowry loses it after that.

I think the vast majority of Republicans will stay with President Trump. The Rinos are going to find the pickings very lean.

Let's see. Trump beat Hillary, helped rid us of the Bush family, and until he was betrayed from within, dismantled the Obama legacy.
The other side lost to Obama twice, slithered into the mass retirements that lost the House, caved on the vote fraud that lost the Senate and didn't seem to care.
I know which side I'm throwing in with.

Hey Rich Lowry. You are way premature saying there will be no new party. Trump has not personally said never on that issue. I suspect he is giving the full impression (on purpose) that he isn’t going that way — for now. We shall see. He is free now and he does not have to tell party leaders diddly-squat. It is very powerful position for there to be much speculation as to exactly what President Trump will do and when.

Trump can rise $$$ for his candidates from his base & campaign directly for them in the primary as well as the election.
Once Trump's candidates win the primary would Mitch dare oppose them knowing he would be the blame for any loss?
Bottom line Mitch needs every GOP senator,Trump supported or not, he can get to regain the majority.

Rich Lowry has reigned over the utter and complete destruction of what was the beautiful Conservative bastion that was National Review "standing athwart history yelling stop"... and it's destruction is all thanks to him. Makes one wonder who paid him for his work.
