Fauci: Trump Would Often Scold Me For Being ‘Pessimistic’

Original Article

Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, once again criticized former President Trump for scolding his constant pessimism during the COVID-19 pandemic. Snip “It isn’t like I took any pleasure in contradicting the president of the United States,” Fauci said. “I have a great deal of respect for the office. But I made a decision that I just had to. Otherwise I would be compromising my own integrity, and be giving a false message to the world. If I didn’t speak up, it would be almost tacit approval that what he was saying was OK,” he said.

Fauci, a lifelong employee of the goobernment, feels uncomfortable when someone calls him on the carpet and refuses to give him a Participation Trophy. The more he talks, the more he reminds us that he is all that we have come to expect from years of goobernment employment.

Why did the president keep him in his position, since he had no legal obligation to do so? At the least he could have transferred him, assuming Fauci is career SES. A nice assignment to the Animal Disease Center on Plum Island off the east end of Long Island, NY might have suited him. I've often wondered whether Trump, as a government outsider, was aware of the personnel rules concerning political appointees versus career members of the senior executive service.

Fauci reminds me of that one employee (there is always one at every workplace) who claims that they are the only one who cared enough to speak up or challenge the boss only to be rebuffed. This employee feels the need to tell everyone how they and they alone stood between the safety of all or certain death and destruction for all. This describes Fauci to a tee. If you dare question his input, you are personally attacking him and putting the world in danger. He leaves no room for other opinions or facts and will not even entertain the idea that he may possibly be wrong.

Since the pandemic in the USA was recognized, Fauci has made a lot of twists and turns when it came to his advice including advising Trump to shutdown the US economy. Fauci has recently been making politicized comments and statements. So the smart way to digest Fauci’s comments and statements is to take them with a grain of salt, while taking notice of which politician or political party that Fauci is trying to butter up and which politician or political party that Fauci is trying to shoot down. Remember Trump had no reason to do anything to prolong the pandemic that was severely hurting his prime achievement the booming US economy, but until vaccines were developed and put into people’s arms there really was nothing that could be done as people who have been routinely wearing face masks and staying home are still being infected by the very contagious Chinese COVID-19 virus. It was the Democrats who politicized the pandemic to scare as many people as possible, with Biden while campaigning for President, blamed Trump for the COVID deaths that have been occurring in the USA, and claiming that he had the plan to stop the virus, but now is essentially saying that until most people are vaccinated a lot more Americans will die.

First, my sympathies for the Biden family. I’ve been there. Now, here’s my puzzlement. Prostate cancer is notoriously slow-growing. Although prostate cancer is the second-leading cause of cancer deaths among men (second to only lung cancer), that’s not because it’s so deadly, but because it’s so common. It’s a fact that more men die with prostate cancer than of it. Of those who die, the typical mechanism of death is by the cancer cells metastasizing to other organs and/or to the bones. It takes years for that to happen – typically something like 5-10 years even without treatment, and even longer with treatment.
