Venice canals run dry amid fears Italy
faces another drought

Original Article

Weeks of dry winter weather have raised concerns that Italy could face another drought after last summer’s emergency, with the Alps having received less than half of their normal snowfall, according to scientists and environmental groups. The warning comes as Venice, where flooding is normally the primary concern, faces unusually low tides that are making it impossible for gondolas, water taxis and ambulances to navigate some of its famous canals.

Comments:

This is a classic gaslighting headline. The article goes on to state that a variety of factors are to blame for lack of water in canals of Venice, including "a high pressure system, sea currents, and a full moon." A) I thought the seas were rising, and Venice lies in the Adriatic Sea. B) this article is dated Feb 21; a new moon. c) their picture shows a small canal with a few boats on mud, probably a mooring place for family craft. Sorry for posting from a non-credible source.

I thought the sea levels were rising? If so, how the heck can these canals be dry?

OP you are exactly correct. The seas ARE rising. They're going to rise by 21 feet - - everywhere - - except where they're not rising - - which is where they're receding - - both of which are caused by Gullible Warming. And please - - always use the word "seas" - - plural - - so that the chumps out there think that there is more than one sea level. That way they can claim rising "seas" in one place - - and receding "seas" in another.

The big deal a few years ago was that Venice would be inundated by global warming and we would lose a priceless city.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, once again criticized former President Trump for scolding his constant pessimism during the COVID-19 pandemic. Snip “It isn’t like I took any pleasure in contradicting the president of the United States,” Fauci said. “I have a great deal of respect for the office. But I made a decision that I just had to. Otherwise I would be compromising my own integrity, and be giving a false message to the world. If I didn’t speak up, it would be almost tacit approval that what he was saying was OK,” he said.

FBI Director Christopher Wray on Tuesday disputed Attorney General William Barr´s use of the word "spying" to describe surveillance of President Trump´s 2016 campaign. "That’s not the term I would use," Wray told the Senate Appropriations Committee. "To me the key question is making sure it´s done by the book, consistent with our lawful authorities. That´s the key question, different people use different colloquial phrases." Wray, who appeared before lawmakers to talk about the FBI´s budget request for fiscal year 2020, added that he was not "personally" aware of any evidence pointing to illegal information gathering by law enforcement before

Although the event occurred earlier in the month, video of Hillary Clinton’s appearance at a Newmark Civic Life Series talk at the 92nd Street Y in Manhattan is hitting the internet and going viral. He missed the boat on this one. Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) on Sunday bizarrely suggested that DOGE cuts to the US Coast Guard could have been partly to blame for a Mexican tall ship’s deadly collision with the Brooklyn Bridge. “We know there has been meddling by the Trump administration into USCG staffing, and we need to know how this might have impacted the events of last night — from a command, communication and local coordination level,” the embattled Dem said in a press release. “There are indications that this service [Vehicle Traffic System] may not be fully or adequately functional in light of a hiring freeze,” he said —

First, my sympathies for the Biden family. I’ve been there. Now, here’s my puzzlement. Prostate cancer is notoriously slow-growing. Although prostate cancer is the second-leading cause of cancer deaths among men (second to only lung cancer), that’s not because it’s so deadly, but because it’s so common. It’s a fact that more men die with prostate cancer than of it. Of those who die, the typical mechanism of death is by the cancer cells metastasizing to other organs and/or to the bones. It takes years for that to happen – typically something like 5-10 years even without treatment, and even longer with treatment.

While the statement emphasized that the cancer is hormone-sensitive, offering hope for effective management, the timing and context of this revelation raise serious questions about transparency and political motivations. The key question I have is this: Did Joe Biden’s inner circle know about this diagnosis last year?
