The Election Is Over. Here’s
the Truth About Trump

Original Article

Posted By: Mauigirl, 1/7/2021 1:06:41 AM

Now that the Georgia runoffs are over, let’s talk about Donald Trump. When we really needed all hands on deck in Georgia, Trump was a wrecking ball. He went down to Georgia and insulted everyone, refusing to talk about anything but himself. Based on his rally speech this week, Trump apparently thinks he won the November election because there was a red wave for everyone except him. How else could all those Republicans win congressional seats on his “coattails,” while he lost?

I guess Ann still doesn't like PDT.

All of a sudden there´s endless score-settling , for no good reason; it´s pure spite from childish know-it-alls who despise Trump. He did a LOT of great things that no one else wanted to touch, such as confronting North Korea. That took a lot of courage, walking up to the border, asking for permission to cross, and casually walking across the most dangerous border crossing in the world. Wait until creepy old Joe Biden´s first crisis. He´ll be the sucker that the rest of the world can roll like muggers. Trump was tough, smart, and effective. Likeable? Probably not as a boss, but so what? He´s a great executive. He´s got lots of quirks, but again, so what? He didn´t have to run for president, but he did a damn good job, all things considered. Trump shrugged off constant abuse at the hands of the MSM, He was a tough boss, but he was never a creepy, smarmy, mendacious hack like Joe Biden. The next four years are going to be very ugly, without Trump´s steady hand, but an America lead by a senile, nasty, vindictive creep. I voted for Trump twice and I´ve never regretted it, despite all the hate that the Deep State threw at him. America is a better country for Trump´s presidency, and I predict that a LOT of people are going to wish they´d voted for him in 2020 -- though they´ll never admit it.

It is possible to agree with what Coulter says to a great degree (Trump really did put the kibosh on Georgia) and still wildly dislike and not trust good ole Anne, giggly laugh on air and all. I USED to trust her, buy her books, etc. but that dissipated when she started criticizing Trump for not building the entire wall poste haste, ignoring the fact that his hands were tied to a great degree----what he did manage re: rebuilding America was really wonderful in almost all regards. Coulter, however, gave him no credit for anything because that wall was not 100%. She is still better than the horrendous Chris Christie (I wouldn't vote for him for dogcatcher) or Mittens Romney, who are against because they want the job, pure and simple. But it IS true that Trump, for all his good, sabotaged Georgia and sunk us.

Some of what she says is true, Trump has some weaknesses. But he was still the greatest president we ever had and did great things for our country. Yes, I wish he had gotten better hold of government and started early to root out leftism in the state and the schools. I think he worked very hard on the wall, but his yelling about Georgia officials he needed support from was a bad tactic, I don't know what got into him. Coulter touts Chris Christie as the great antidote but that's a barf alert, we will never support backstabbing Chris Christie. The fact remains, Trump's achievements are great and he did it all with one hand tied behind his back, with constant plots against him. I'm sticking with Trump, weaknesses and all.

And … file a countersuit? We gave Dominion their say in my earlier post, so fair is fair. Rudy Giuliani issued a typically combative response to the defamation lawsuit filed in federal court by Dominion, threatening to use the action to “fully and completely” investigate the voting-system company. Consider this a more florid version of the “yay discovery” response that Giuliani’s supporters have expressed, with a side of bravado: Rudy Giuliani slammed Dominion Voting Systems on Monday in response to the company’s announcement that it was suing him for defamation. “Dominion’s defamation lawsuit for $1.3 billion will allow me to investigate their history, finances, and practices fully and completely,”

Of all the books I have written—and there have been many—Radical Son is the one that has touched the most people, and touched them the most deeply. I think the reason for this is that it describes a personal odyssey through the political labyrinths of our times. Its narrative addresses the psychological and religious dimensions of what it means to be a radical and to harbor utopian dreams of re-creating the world and making it just. Secular radicals have variously called these dreams of a heaven on earth, “socialism,” “communism,” or “social justice.” These fantasies are consolations for the flawed world in which we actually find ourselves, and cannot escape.
