For only the second time since 1902, the traditional Rose Bowl football contest will not be played at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. The only exception was in 1942 after the attacks on Pearl Harbor. The game was played in Durham, North Carolina because the West Coast was deemed unsafe. The game that year was between Oregon State and Duke. Thanks to the coronavirus pandemic and the strict statewide shutdown orders from the Governor of California, the College Football Playoff (CFP) game will not be played in Pasadena. It will be played in Arlington, Texas at AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys. Welcome to Texas, y’all.

It’s been appalling to see so many Republicans desert President Trump in the election fraud challenges, telling him to give in and concede. Fox News started out the trend election night by calling Arizona for Biden. RINO judges piled on, dismissing election challenges with flimsy excuses that no one bought. Gradually, elected officials have turned on him. The MSM loves talking about the politician defectors but never explains why they’re deserting. They’re deserting because politics has never been about principles for those Republicans. They ran for office looking for fame and fortune; most of them are narcissists. They survive in office based on campaign contributions and other perks.

OCALA, Fla.—Last Sunday I plopped a steaming hashbrown casserole and a bowl of freshly sliced oranges down on one of a row of endless folding tables covered in those flimsy plastic tablecloths you get at the dollar store. The casseroles were outnumbered only by the pans of homemade cinnamon rolls, and the fruit section was meager: it was a good Southern Baptist potluck.Church ladies buzzed around, removing tin foil from tin pans and putting serving spoons in each dish, while others flipped pancakes on a portable griddle. The House handily passed a $900 billion COVID relief bill Monday night, delivering aid to the businesses and families that have struggled through months of stalled negotiations. The 5,593-page bill passed just hours after being publicly released and will now move to the Senate before arriving on the desk of President Trump, who is expected to sign it. The legislation passed 359-53 as part of a broader $1.4 trillion spending package that included dozens of unrelated provisions, pushed off to the end of the legislative session thanks to protracted gridlock over the scope and scale of the relief bill.

Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah, blasted Russia on Sunday for a cyberattack that he said amounted to an "invasion," adding that President Donald Trump's unwillingness to blame Russia shows that he has a "blind spot" when it comes to the country. U.S. officials believe Russian intelligence was behind a suspected hacking campaign unveiled this month that infiltrated more than 40 organizations, including many government agencies and contractors.

So Mitch McConnell thinks it’s over. We need to congratulate Biden (whom I have taken to calling “President Asterisk”), forget everything, put it all behind us, and move on. According to Mitch, the greatest political crime in American history is something you just walk away from. (snip) We all know what this is about: left-wing totalitarianism under another name. The Green New Deal will take away our jobs, our transportation, our homes. BLM will remove our stature as the inheritors of western civilization. Antifa groupthink will take away our democracy and our constitutional rights

One of my idle hobbies is writing science fiction stories. The first one will be published after I die, at which point I will become rich and famous. None of them, however, is as strange as the bizarre world in which we now find ourselves. It is as if criminals had broken into your house, while you were home, in broad daylight, and begun loading up your valuable belongings in a rented truck parked in your driveway. You immediately pick up the phone and dial 911. "911. What is your emergency?" "I'm being robbed." "Really?" "Yes!" "Do you have any evidence of that?"

What’s going to happen to Fox News? After the election, it seems that conservatives and Republicans are gradually looking elsewhere for their news and commentary. But it isn’t just right-leaning consumers of content that are pivoting, the individuals who appear on these networks seem to be noticing the shift. The Hill recently reported that GOP lawmakers are appearing more frequently on Newsmax than they have in the past. Indeed, Fox News was virtually the only conservative news outlet on which Republican leaders appeared up until recently.“As President Trump openly feuds with Fox News, conservative lawmakers and loyal Trump officials have increasingly added Newsmax

There's an old prop from Aristotle offered to public speakers. Tell them what you're going to tell them. Tell them. Tell them what you told them. There is much anticipation that the alternate slate of (GOP) electors sent to Congress will cause a stalemate, causing the electors not to be confirmed. It is understood that any senator, and Mike Pence himself, can raise an objection to the confirmation of the Electoral College votes. This would prompt a trigger that would abandon the Electoral College process and send the decision for president to the House of Representatives, and subsequently the choice of vice president back to the Senate.

"To defeat Trump,” writes Victor Davis Hanson, “many of our institutions were deformed.” Indeed, we have witnessed a flagrant burlesque of electoral procedure, including the specter of foreign interference by China, Iran and Russia via Dominion Voting Systems in gerrymandering electoral results, as Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe has confirmed. And there will be lasting consequences. The effect of installing a parodic figure like Joe Biden, straight out of the Commedia dell’Arte, as the next president of the United States will result in three destabilizing factors.

At least five of President-elect Joe Biden’s reported cabinet picks have expressed pro-gun control views in past statements, a Daily Caller News Foundation review has found. Biden, who is set to be inaugurated on Jan. 20, has said he plans to end the sale of so-called “assault weapons” and “high-capacity magazines” in addition to instituting red flag legislation and ending liability protections for gun manufacturers and sellers, according to his campaign website. The former vice president’s gun control plan, coupled with his slew of cabinet picks that seem to share his views on the issue, has pro-Second Amendment groups on edge.“We’re going to be fighting for our rights continuously

“Fox News Sunday” anchor Chris Wallace said on this week’s broadcast of his program that the “fuss” over Jill Biden’s title of “doctor” had not been applied to “Dr. Henry Kissinger, the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King.”Wallace said, “There has been some criticism recently from conservatives, including some conservatives on Fox News about the fact that First Lady-to-be Jill Biden goes by the title doctor. I wonder what is the Biden’s reaction to that, especially given the fact that so many people over the years — I think of Dr. Henry Kissinger, the Rev. In a new video interview, Joe Biden claimed that schools should be able to reopen by this time next year or sooner. This time next year? The education of our children is being damaged right now. And has been being damaged for almost a year now. Let’s say for instance there is a school in a low income part of New York, where many of the students do not have wireless internet at home. Perhaps their parents are struggling to pay their heating and electric bills and cannot afford the internet. Let’s say many of these families also cannot afford a personal computer, and the school does not have

New York—A COVID-19 economic relief package reached Sunday includes $4 billion to help the ailing Metropolitan Transportation Authority, Sen. Chuck Schumer said. "It should keep our subways running and our buses running without the kinds of cutbacks that people were worrying about," Schumer said. The MTA recently approved a budget that assumed $4.5 billion in federal aid for 2021 to defray costs and revenue shortfalls from the COVID-19 pandemic. Officials cautioned that proposed service cuts of up to 40% on buses and subways and up to 50% on regional rail lines could be considered next year if the federal government doesn't grant the MTA's
