This morning I wrote an initial take on the newly agreed upon (agreed upon by Congressional leadership at least) coronavirus relief package (see Here’s What Happens When Republicans and Democrats ‘Compromise’). I focused on some of the ridiculous, unrelated domestic hand-outs in the bill. Later, Jennifer Oliver O’Connell did another dive into the general terribleness of the legislation because there was just too much wrong with it to cover in one piece (see The COVID Relief Bill is Trash, and Other Things You Already Knew). Well, as per our usual agreement with Congress, more and more is being discovered in the 5600 page monstrosity, and it gets so much worse

This is prima facia case for voting every single one of the Congress critters out.
My voting strategy is:
In the Primary, never vote for the incumbent
In the General, never vote for a Democrat

I'm starting to think that the Chinese will do a better job of running our country.

Trash it! We will support Trump to veto it and promise retribution on the rhinos that helped push it.

Poster 1, let's face it. Can you trust ANY vote that happens after this? We aren't running the country - a bunch of snot-nosed well-heeled elitists are buying every extra ballots to overcome anything WE want! You might get rid of the Rhinos... maybe. But the Democrats? You're missing your frontal lobes if you think that!

This thing is unbelievable. They government (States in particular) is causing all of this suffering. After months, when many good people are far worse off that they were in March, they are generous enough to return money to the tax payers whom it belonged to in the first place. I know that most of us have never taken a penny from the government in place of working. My husband was mortified just going for unemployment early in our marriage. He was back to work in six weeks, doing a job he hated until he could find another.
Good people, small business owners are suffering. We have all heard the stories of massive fine and penalties for just trying to survive. Evictions, food lines, etc., should not be happening. How gracious of them to send $600, the week AFTER Christmas, to the people who pay their salaries. It shows their total disconnect from the American people. It really is kind of insulting, especially when you see where the majority of the funds are really going. Payoffs to their masters, their real masters.
When I read, "The 'Covid relief' bill also includes $10 million for “gender programs” in Pakistan I knew we are so are in for a lot more "hurt" if Biden (God forbid) is actually sworn in next month.

This is just another TARP slush funds being supported by the Republicans, as the Democrats come into office to spend it on themselves and their friends. Trump should veto these bills. McConnell is stabbing Trump in the back as usual. Send it back with a veto.

Millions and millions for foreign countries especially some that hate us and a lousy $600 for Americans. And that dumb Speaker of the House held it back until after the election so as not to help Trump. After reading some of the contents of the bill I don't think Pres. Trump would want to sign his name to this monstrosity of a relief package. What do all those foreign countries have to do with the virus's affect on American businesses and jobs? In one word: NOTHING. It's a sorry day for America when politicians but foreign interests ahead of the American people's well being. Sorry indeed.

And you thought the Covid relief bill was to help families and businesses harmed by the ‘Pandemic’.

When, not if. Trump signs this monstrosity, it will ease the pain of his re-election loss because Trump’s signing of this bill means he’s really isn’t that different from Dementia Joe. Obamacare was just 2300 unread pages approved at the last minute. This 6000 page fraud, also passed at the last minute without any representative reading it or the public agreeing to it, is more of the same. Shame on the Republicans for agreeing for this legislation. And shame on the President for placing his signature on it.
The Democrats don’t care what harm they do to our country as long as they win. Republicans pretend they care.

It is too bad that Congress doesn't have restrictions on "logrolling", the inclusion of items into a piece of legislation that are not even tangentially germane to the stated purpose of the act. Instead the elected representatives of the people shamelessly pass bills that benefit everyone but We the People.

You Lucianne readers should brush up on your Samuel Clemens.
"There is no distinctly native criminal class in the United States except Congress", he wrote in 1879 or thereabouts. So nothing has changed much. I think this was in Following the Equator, but I could be mistaken. And that was only after 100 years.
Go read Federalist and find out what Members were supposed to be. Successful people who took a couple of months a year to legislate for the Nation. Not 47 year lifetime Members, having never held an actual job. Now look at what we have. Swalwell bangs a Red Chinese spy, and gets an intelligence post. At least Adam Clayton Powell did not give Pakistan money to help with gender change. Nope. We got us a collection of folks who will vote however they are bribed. Until the next bribe comes along.
