For only the second time since 1902, the traditional Rose Bowl football contest will not be played at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. The only exception was in 1942 after the attacks on Pearl Harbor. The game was played in Durham, North Carolina because the West Coast was deemed unsafe. The game that year was between Oregon State and Duke. Thanks to the coronavirus pandemic and the strict statewide shutdown orders from the Governor of California, the College Football Playoff (CFP) game will not be played in Pasadena. It will be played in Arlington, Texas at AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys. Welcome to Texas, y’all.

Signed the recall petition a few days before the election. I used the top of the public trash can. Very fitting.

My parents went to the Rose Bowl to watch Cal (alma mater for both) on their honeymoon. I thought that was sweet. They took his sister and brother-in-law to the game too. Ah...the memories of a time gone by.

OP, you do know that a substantial portion of Colorado was originally part of the Republic of Texas, don't you?

#2. Last time CA recalled a gov it was Gray Davis and you got Gov Arnold the Barbarian. Which actor would you like to take over this time? Please don't give Gov Nuisance an easy out. Make him suffer.

We'll take it. All the good stuff Kallifournia has? Send it. Figger out a way to send Sequoia National Park and the Pacific Coast Highway. Too.
I'd even be OK with San Diego.
* you can keep El A and San Fran Freaksho. Used to be desirable.....but not so much now.

Pass away, Pasadena. That's where the mighty Isaac Litton Marching 100 made Nashville proud during a Rose Bowl Parade back before the earth cooled. Roar, you Lions, children and grandkids of Lions. I have family in Covidfornia, Taxafornia, or whatever it's called. The hills are still golden and the Pacific is still blue. Pray for loved ones who can flee to the hills. A liberal is the only bird that fouls its own nest.

Another perfect example of how the left turns everything around them into a wasteland. There's more where this comes from folks! The left is far from finished.

Sorry, but I am laughing - Texas is doing well with covid by taking in the events that Las Vegas (NFR - National Finals Rodeo) and California are banning.

The roaches are scurrying out of Cal and NY. At this rate maybe we can win the house back. Loved the bird nest analogy of liberals. And there is no way a man who is holed up in his basement, who can’t put two sentences together, and promises us a cold, hard winter ahead defeats a popular sitting president without massive cheating!

If you're going, you MUST eat at Babe's right down the street. They're the gold standard for fried chicken, period. But, please go back home and stay there when you're done. Commiefornia's messed with Texas WAY too much.

No, it won’t be more fun than it usually has been for all these years in Pasadena, California’s beautiful Rose Bowl. Here it would be in one of the loveliest stadium settings in the country, at the foot of the San Gabriel Mountains. Able to be open to the sky 365 days a year, and on New Year’s Day it is traditionally in the 70s with clear skies.
Shame on Newsom and his Asian health director Pan. The request they turned down was just that the families of the players and coaching staffs be allowed to attend. Newsom will pay.

Hooray... my stepson lives in Texas and he's delighted...since china owns all the ports in California...and the democratic legislature including their dictator newsom ... it does not deserve the All American Rose Bowl event...so everyone go to Texas and enjoy your freedom to live your life by YOUR rules... not newsroom's... I will watch the game... first since the kneeling drama by the loser quarterback...I'll bet Texans will sign the National Anthem and fly the American flag... next to the Texas flag... of course...

And to use the dreaded spike-the-football analogy (sorry for the memories), Governor Brylcreem announced yesterday that the SoCal stay-at-home order currently in effect will be extended beyond next week. I can't retire just yet but am seriously looking to buy land in Florida while rates are low - they're going to skyrocket at some point, the new stimulus bill being just the latest piece of spending insanity.

Imagine that the Commiecrats could scare people into believing their lives were at
stake if they didn’t conform: masks, crowd size, no family gatherings, lost businesses & lives, etc. How would you like to be a businessman in CA depending on crowds for the Rose Bowl?
I’d bet they never considered how criminally powerful the government is – if we let them.

FTA: Pan called it a “dynamic virus and situation,” and wrote, “This is why we have chosen a slow and stringent science-based approach to determining when activities should open.”
"Science" has become the raison d'etre for elitist/progressive control of the American people. Wait until the next "deadly virus" or a "climate change" crisis arises: we probably ain't seen nothing yet!

I'm a little concerned that all of the losers from Kalifornia will turn Texas into another blue state. Careful Texans, be on your guard for these losers.
