Lately, Sam Jacobs has had a lot of conversations with his family’s lawyers. He’s trying to gain access to more of his $30 million trust fund. At 25, he’s hit the age when many heirs can blow their money on harebrained businesses or a stable of sports cars. He doesn’t want to do that, but by wealth management standards, his plan is just as bad. He wants to give it all away. “I want to build a world where someone like me, a young person who controls tens of millions of dollars, is impossible,” he said. A socialist since college

I would very much like to see these brats give all of their money away and see how they REALLY like living like post-war Soviets.

Hey Sam! ( I can call you Sam-can't I ?) I am volunteering to help you to feel better right now! Just sign 20% of that money to me as soon as it is available and convenient. I will not waste it on race cars, or wimmins or high powered firearms., I promise. I will randomly drop off a small handful of twenties at the end of every quarter for as long as I live , like clockwork, in an ethnic neighborhood of your choice. I can even send photos of me doing your good work. If the above terms are not acceptable to you , please advise at your earliest convenience and I'll rejigger, er rejeeg..change it more to your liking.
Thanking you for your consideration in advance,
Your friend ( who used to be a hippie in the 70s,btw)
Rolf

"“I want to build a world where someone like me, a young person who controls tens of millions of dollars, is impossible,” he said. A socialist since college"
I won't click on a NY Slimes link to read this, but based on the little bit in the summary, here's a classic example of a young socialist progressive (redundant?). He sees his wealthy unearned privilege as unfair, but instead of just giving it away for the good feeling he thinks it will bring, it appears he also wants to makes sure every other young privileged unfairly wealthy person also has to give theirs away, too.

I think that is a great idea. Let the down to earth rich people invest in companies that put people to work.
Carlos Slim at one time the richest man in the world said instead of giving money away he would continue to insist in companies in order to give people employment. I like his idea more that simply giving money to social outcast so they can buy more crack. Of course there is always the deserving unfortunate person or family that needs help, but randomly giving money away rarely reaches them.

Because they know nothing about the VALUE of things, they will donate money to orgs they believe in, but really - what do those orgs actually DO? They simply organize for more people to aggitate for more money. They circular complaint goes round and round and the problems are never solved, but certainly - money transfers and somes get more than others for it. Here's an idea: Take your millions and start mini grocery stores in those so-called food deserts. GIVE the stores to locals - trained to manage and operate them and hire from the community - run them in such a way that they can self-sustain after the 'gift' of the start up so they become community-owned. Then get back to me in ten years for the follow up.

What's to stop the current generation from specifically disinheriting these young "progressive" "anti-this", "anti-that", anti-whatever created their presumed FUTURE wealth in the first place? If they object so strenuously to it, why not re-distribute the bulk of it to fewer heirs and leave these "progressive" "anti-this", "anti-that", anti-whatever types a cool $1000 each and tell them to get a job so they can create their own "clean" wealth.

A fool and his money are soon parted!
I laughed my way through this entire article. So the dumb brainwashed kids of some very wealthy families will give away their part of family inheritance to a bunch of do nothing socialist grifters. Note that several of these are adopted.
If their parents allow that to happen, so be it. I'm sure most have other kids who aren't stupid. These will just end up at Starbucks and their kids will bitterly ask why they can't afford college and a nice place to live while their cousins are ultra wealthy. "Thanks mom! Thanks dad! For screwing us over when you were young and stupid!"

Wait until he finds out what it's like to NOT have that nest egg, and the privileges he's enjoyed most of his life. What this kid doesn't realize, his $30 million seems like a lot until he realizes he will need to live off of it for the next 60 years.
Keep in mind, $1,000,000 at 5% return is $50,000 per year ($961.54 per week)
Now, does anyone need $50 billion dollars either? Not really.
So, maybe something happens with a wealth tax, or some option using the tax code to enable ultra-rich people to give away money without it being a tax-sheltered Foundation.

One thing is certain, this kid never worked a day in his life.
One day on a tobacco farm or a day driving a honey dipping truck would change his mind fast enough.

These people are stupid and cowardly. First, they not only don’t know what they’re talking about but it has never occurred to them that their plan will make the world worse. It will. They think unearned wealth is wrong and to prove it......they plan to give their money away to people who haven’t earned it.... Mr. Jacobs, et al., here on earth, Marxism is just a fancy name for giving all your money to gangsters who will work very hard to keep Marx’s “lumpen masses” in poverty and dependent in order to prey on them. The cowardice is imbedded with the idealistic sounding “make the world a better place” con. It includes the thought that you will only give up your wealth if everyone else of means does so, too. Mind your own business, kids. If you want to give your wealth away to strangers go right ahead but that doesn’t’ mean the rest of us need to do anything.

Don't worry. In the end, the rich kid will keep all his money and expect you and I (the middle class) to pay for it. Oh yeah, he'll be okay with increasing his tax rate (which he doesn't pay anyway) which will also affect us in the middle class.
And he'll get richer and we'll get poorer. And he'll live happily ever after.

Poverty sucks kid! You will find out how bad it is the day you run out of money and start living hand to mouth. When you get old, you will find out how lonely you are and then die alone with a bottle of cheap gin in your cold, lifeless hand. You need a good slap to the side of your head to wake you up.

Steve Bing probably felt the same way these morons did - he inherited a few hundred million, gave millions to leftist causes (including the Clinton foundation) over his life, and squandered the rest trying to be a movie mogul. At 55, he discovered he'd run out of money and jumped to his death from the 27th floor of his apartment building. According to Wikipedia, his net worth was $300,000 when he died. It sucks to look back and realize what an idiot you've been.

If they knew actual and real history, they would know that the earliest colonialists tried socialism and communal living for about a year. Didn't work, because even then, the lazy parasites didn't work hard at all because they knew they would get a share of everyone else's hard work at the end of the year. So socialism was dropped. These brats are so mentally incompetent they need court ordered keepers. Do with your own money what you will kiddies, but leave the rest of us alone. Stay out of our wallets.

Liberals don't want money, they want control. They want slaves and servants.
Money means you had to work for something and your control is limited by your purse. They're Elites!! Hand me the car! Escort me to the plane! Go to bed with me, now!
They use money to measure everyone's influence and hate it, when someone 'scores' higher than they do.

Sam you little idiot. You think 30 million is rich ? Tell it to Bezos, Musk or Gates. That's about an hour's worth of interest in their world.
Tell them you want to build a world where entitled rich brats like you are "impossible" and I'll bet they will agree.

If anyone runs into one of these snot-nosed brats, please ask them to put their money where their Kringle-hole is and donate all their money RIGHT NOW to a homeless shelter. Don't ask for laws to do what you can do under FREEDOM today! Communism only ensures the mutual misery of the working class, while creating a vast swath of an enriched political class. See what the Communist countries past and present do to people who remain on welfare - DEATH.
