The president-elect has yet to appoint the person who will head up the Agriculture Department, which oversees various agencies including the United States Forest Service, the United States Food Safety and Inspection Service, and the Food Stamp Program. South Carolina Rep. James Clyburn - who is widely seen as playing a crucial role in Biden's Democratic primary victory - told The New York Times on Thursday that Biden should name Ohio Rep. Marcia Fudge to the powerful position. Fudge - a black woman who

The real question is who does Obama want to be agricultural secretary. After all, it would be his third term.

The bottom up presidency of Joe Biden! Anyone ever recall the statement "Republicans fight over who will be in the Trump cabinet? Or the George W. Bush Cabinet? Or the George H.W. Bush Cabinet? Or the Reagan cabinet..."

Mike Espy already broke the "color barrier" for Ag. Secretary in 1993. He was dirty (unusual for a black Democrat politician...s/off), resigned and was later indicted. So there exists precedent for Fudge

Yeah, appoint people based on some kind of diversity quota system for the cabinet rather than somebody who actually has experience in the field of agriculture. Surely if a democrat does that, it will work just fine. Who cares what farmers and ranchers need in order to keep feeding the nation. Where do the democrats think the food to feed the Urban areas comes from? Not out of nowhere Kiddies, but out of the ground, thanks to the hard working farmers and their rancher buddies.
Thanks to the two cretins who will be Obama's third term, the dream of turning us into Zimbabwe or even Venezuela will finally be achieved.

What the actual Agriculture policy is..... is irrelevant to the 'Rat party apparatchiks.
They just assume that the food will magically arrive in the grocery stores.
The only thing that matters to the Democrats is control of the Food Stamp handout program.

Yes, #13, Espy was driving dirty, and was indicted for taking bribes, but was acquitted by a D.C. jury, even though he admitted taking bribes - one of which was a college scholarship for his young mistress - not his wife.
Marcia Fudge, dumber than her name, could make some real money at Agriculture. She is only a member of the House because of majority-minority districts.
It is nigh impossible to obtain a a conviction in federal court in D.C., if the defendant is black or O.J. juries are the reality in D.C.
