The board also passed a resolution calling on Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, a Democrat, to conduct an independent comprehensive audit of all of the jurisdictions in the county that recorded unexplained discrepancies between the number of absentee ballots recorded as cast and the number of absentee ballots counted. The Democrats dismiss any mention of the innumerable irregularities that tainted the general election as little more than crackpot conspiracy theories. This is a convenient way to avoid addressing serious questions raised by serious observers, but it will further undermine confidence in key institutions that fo*m the foundation upon which the republic stands. Public trust in government, media, and even science was already declining before Election Day. This trend will dramatically accelerate if Americans don’t get answers to questions such as the following: Why would the voters deliver the Democrats a comprehensive down-ballot drubbing yet hand the White House to the worst presidential candidate in living memory?

The Washington Post on Sunday penned an editorial calling for the elimination of the Electoral College. According to the editorial board, it's time for America to be covered by the majority without the protections for the minority. From the editorial (emphasis mine): ...The electoral college, whatever virtues it may have had for the Founding Fathers, is no longer tenable for American democracy. We write this with full awareness of the challenges of adopting a new system, with respect for many of the people who continue to argue against a switch, and with awareness that any change may have unintended consequences.

It is with desperation that Trump supporters -- those of us who are faithful to the Constitution and expect our elected officials to be faithful to it as well -- are distraught at the rumor that Durham is giving-up on his investigation of the coup plotters, who broke every law on the books in their attempt to derail the Trump presidency. How can this be? What has been shared with the public is more than enough to send many of the conspirators to prison for the rest of their lives, but as yet not one of them has even been charged with a crime.

It must really be hard to live today in a nation of 73 million Nazis. Seventy-three million of your fellow citizens just voted for the reincarnation of Adolf Hitler and the best these weak losers can do is threaten to “keep a list.” Roughly 10 million more Americans voted for “Hitler” this year than did four years ago. That’s also more than the number who voted for Hillary Clinton in 2016. (Remember? She who won the popular vote?) That’s more Hitler voters here in America today than there are virtuous souls in this country who voted for Lord & Savior Barack Obama in 2008 or 2012.

Good news about the economy continued to pour in during Election Week. Predictably, the nation’s establishment press, obsessed with its self-appointed insistence that Joe Biden is the nation’s president-elect, virtually ignored it. On Nov. 6, the government’s October jobs report revealed that the nation’s unemployment rate dropped a full point to a seasonally adjusted 6.9 percent, while nonfarm payroll employment increased by 638,000. The reported unemployment rate smashed expectations that it would only drop to 7.6 percent, while the employment increase beat expectations by 58,000. The report’s detail was even stronger than its headline numbers.

SACRAMENTO — Although the coronavirus pandemic has largely grounded the global travel industry, it did not stop the annual political conference that brings California lawmakers to Hawaii for five days of policy discussions and schmoozing with corporate sponsors. The conference, which has been hosted by the Independent Voter Project every November for more than a decade, is taking place this week at the Fairmont Kea Lani on Maui’s southwest shore. “Somebody has to be first to say, ‘OK, we’re going to do a group event safely,’” Dan Howle, chairman and executive director of the Independent Voter Project, said in a phone interview from Maui.

In the past few days, Democrats and their allies in the #NeverTrump movement have started the ominous practice of compiling blacklists of Trump supporters or those who refuse to immediately trumpet Joe Biden’s contested and as yet unconfirmed victory in the November election. CNN, perhaps afraid of falling behind, ran a report listing every single Republican senator who has refused to congratulate Biden so far. At the bottom on the screen, the outlet singled out the president’s dastardly “enablers” who dared to stand up for Trump’s right to raise legal challenges in response to serious concerns about potential fraud. On Tuesday, CNN published a list of 49 Republican senators guilty

There are two kinds of vice presidents, those who enter the office with chops and those who don’t. For purposes of the vice presidency, chops can be earned by high level service, by having mounted a credible presidential campaign, or by being the leader of a wing of the president’s party. Lyndon Johnson, Hubert Humphrey, and Dick Cheney are probably the best examples in my lifetime of vice presidents who took office with chops. Spiro Agnew and Dan Quayle are good examples of ones who didn’t. Chops don’t guarantee that the president will listen much to his VP. Johnson had very little influence with President Kennedy.

Sidney Powell is a force of nature as she exposes massive election fraud that swung a landslide win for President Trump to appear like a win for Joe Biden. Undeterred by threats, she stands almost alone battling this shocking coup against our president. (snip) She needs our help. And she needs it now. (snip) we can donate money to this Herculean legal defense effort and where we can also find vital information. It’s called Defending the Republic: here. Like Trump, Powell stands nearly alone as she works to take down a level of corruption so vast and all-encompassing that it threatens to devour us all.

“I never say anything I can’t prove.” That’s a quote from Sidney Powell, the superstar D.C. lawyer representing the Trump campaign over the weekend as she made the rounds on cable news. Powell proceeded to drop several large bombs in those interviews, and made a promise that has reverberated particularly in conservative circles. She said she would soon “release the Kraken.” Let’s remember that the Left did everything it could to derail the Trump presidency by use of perhaps the most absurd conspiracy theory this side of chemtrails.

Black Lives Matter came up with the single most effective political slogan of the year. While no one was likely to be overly impressed with Joe Biden’s line “Build Back Better,” and President Trump’s “Keep America Great” or “Make America Great Again, Again” didn’t have the resonance of the original 2016 version, BLM broke through the clutter with a catchphrase that was memorable, pungent — and utterly devastating to Democrats. After a surprising Tory victory in the British parliamentary election in 1992, the pro-Tory tabloid The Sun famously boasted, “It’s the Sun Wot Won It.” In the same spirit, it could be said that in this year’s congressional election,

The city of Seattle may legalize most misdemeanor crimes. This isn’t an exaggeration. It’s arguably not even the most radical idea introduced by the Seattle City Council. Rather, it’s the latest move by politicians growing increasingly dangerous and aloof to concerns in a city spiraling dangerously out of control. In the final week of October, the Council used the 2021 budget process to forward an updated plan installing heroin injection sites, replace a specialized police unit tackling homelessness, and lay off more Seattle police, which already has record low staffing. Seeing the writing on the wall, some of the city’s best paid residents are fleeing.

The United States military still reigns as the most preeminent one in the world, but a new report exclusively obtained by Fox News shows that sustaining that superiority is far from guaranteed as the Pentagon still trudges through budget cuts put in place almost a decade ago. The Heritage Foundation's "2021 Index of U.S. Military Strength," which annually examines the previous year's defense policies and global operation climate, underscores that the threat posed by foreign adversaries "will require our national defense and intelligence posture to adapt to a world that for nearly 20 years has been fixated on defeating international terrorists."
