Masks have become a political tool and a talisman. When COVID-19 hit, governments panicked and created enormous fear. The Centers for Disease Control currently estimates a COVID-19 survival rate of 99.99 percent for people younger than 50, but the damage created by the panic was too great to undo. It is likely that some politicians eventually realized their mistake and needed a way to back-pedal without admitting their lockdowns were a policy disaster. Their solution was for people to put any old piece of cloth across their face and magically believe that it’s okay to go out shopping again.

FTA - "Masks dehumanize us, and ironically serve as a constant reminder that we should be afraid."
The graphs in Weiss's piece are very telling, aren't they? These mask mandates have always been a political game from the day the chicoms first engineered and implemented this covid "crisis". It's all about controlling leftist control of the masses in concert with the new world order.
But, you just wait. You ain't seen nothing yet. Wait until the vaccine becomes available and the next mandate that requires proof of vaccination before you can enter any business, church, or government building is issued. A state-issued mask with your proof of vaccination affixed to it and/or to your drivers license.

I think we need to get back to the family doctor advising what you need, rather than the governor, mayor, county judge, fauci, or birx. I have never met any of them.

Who needs graphs? If masks worked, covid would have disappeared months ago.

It is obvious that masks are worthless when there are no standards for the public masks and no standard of fit. Additionally, if masks are so great why haven't they been mandated in the past 50+ years for the flu? It is sad that so many people go along with this, especially medical professionals and those that are supposed to be educated.

When I wear a mask, it is because I am driving my mower, or doing woodworking and I want fewer irritating dust particles causing my nose to run for the rest of the day. I use N95 masks for this, and I have worn one of those since they were required, often just holding it on my face until I get to the restaurant table, then it is off the entire time I am eating and visiting with friends.
Some company sent me a cloth mask....so I have been using it, to save my few remaining N95 masks for real need, woodworking and mowing.
Oh, yeah, I still get a bit of the sniffles and stuffiness, even with an N95, so I have known FOREVER that they are only moderately effective, even for dust particles which are boulders compared to BBs, for the dust particles versus virus particles.
All smoke and mirrors to fool the sheeple. I am not fooled, I am not amused.

Masks only prevent bacteria from getting through, not viruses. True fact.

Mask mouth is a real problem. It happens because you wear your mask too long.
Also, as masks deteriorate, they shed microscopic particles that lodge in your lungs.
The effects may not be known for 10, 20, even 30 years, and the more you wear old masks,
the more likely you are to suffer later down the road.
A study of masks on influenza had a result that they had no discernible effect. The CoVid-19 virus is 1/3rd the size of the influenza virus, so how can anyone expect masks will help.
Finally, the CDC implicitly acknowledges masks don't help. Their contact tracing guidelines say to ignore whether or not anyone was wearing a mask.
I generally don't wear masks, unless I need to to go into an establishment. The local Target no longer requires masks. Last night, I went, and didn't wear one. Some Asian woman acted like I had the plague. As far as I'm concerned, I had it almost a year ago.

Wearing a mask is as effective as using a chain link fence for mosquito netting.
Any mask tight enough to filter viruses can not be breathed through without mechanical assistance.

The article is well worth reading and the graphs are not intimidating. The author, a military veteran with a degree in bioengineering, concludes, “History does not bode well for times that politics meddles with science” and that, ultimately, credibility in our scientific institutions will be lost, and the masks will be remembered for the “unnecessary” division they have sowed among us. Lastly, Mr. Weiss quotes a professor from the Harvard Medical School who summed up this COVID environment thusly, “After 300 years, the Age of Enlightenment has ended.”
