Two recent reports, when combined, paint a dark pathway for America in the coming weeks, a nation set on fire by multiple contentious court battles and widespread daily protests.
The 79 Days Report, by the Claremont Institute and the Texas Policy Foundation, illuminates possible election legal battles on the horizon and how they might play out in the courts. The bottom line? The litigation will be time consuming and combative. There’s no fast forward button to speed up the process. (snip) The second report, Hold the Line: A Guide to Defending Democracy, is a how-to manual for organizing massive protests

I don't see this happening. If Trump wins, and protesters take to the Streets, burning and looting, he won't mess around pleading with Democrat Governors to allow the National Guard to come in. I think he will immediately declare Martial Law and bring in the Military to shut things down! I think he will be ready and he will have the Military on Stand-by. Trump knows a lot more this time around. He knows who he is dealing with and he is going to play Hardball. He will also begin to fire those in his Administration who have been working against him. I think we will see a completely different Trump Administration this time around. I also think it's a good thing Justice Barrett will be on the Bench as I think the Supreme Court will, in the end, decide this election (as they did with Bush v Gore!).

PDT has already declared his plan of action. 1. Federalize the National Guard. 2. Invoke the Sedition Act. 3. Issue Rules of Engagement that require authorities - at all levels, to bring violence and disorder to an end as quickly as possible. Seems clear enough to me!

Whether POTUS wins or loses, he truly has nothing to lose by quashing these rebellions as soon as they break out. So the left should not presume that this will not happen. It behooves us as informed citizens to be ready to defend our homes and neighborhoods.

I hope that others on here are correct; that this mayhem would be short-lived. The problem I see is that the JOEkers on the other side intend for the Bush/Gore re-count, lawsuit, chad-hunt debacle to be X10 (or more, depending on the number of states "hanging"). In the meantime, they'll create as much misery as they can in order to coerce Trump and supporters to give in, while they declare (amplified by the enemedia) that Trump is illegitimately wielding power and authority as "the defeated lame-duck President". I don't think he will surrender to them; I certainly don't intend to. There's too much at stake to allow them to blatantly steal this election. The linguini-spine GOPers will have to grow an actual backbone and fight; that won't be easy for some of them. Bottom line; I fear it's going to be a grueling battle beyond November.
Over broken-glass... VOTE; even if yours is a "red" state, the numbers matter more now than ever.

As a precaution, I would suggest that all pubbie elected officials and judges arrange for security outside of their homes now. The possibility of wide spread violence is very real. But these teachers cant stay away from the day jobs forever. Nevertheless, wise to prepare for disruptions. Communications is one. The food supply chain is another. When in town, be armed. Just in case.

AG Barr, could you please advise Director Wray about these threatened uprisings post election. Wray was on TV last week warning us about possible Iranian interference in the election, and he may believe that other than promptly returning Hunter Biden’s unopened laptop to him, that his Bureau has done enough for the remainder of the year.

Question for #10: Five five six? Lake City?
Especially on Election Night, it might be advisable to be on high alert. The rabble will be out doing their worst. Police may well be overwhelmed and unavailable, especially in Democrat run urban areas. Same as most law abiding Americans, we'll be at home base, relaxed but ready for anything. If patriotic American voters can flip the House, hold the Senate, and reelect Trump, the financiers and organizers of Antifa-BLM had better run for the hills. Some seditionists on the Left should dance the hempen jig.

If all unions call strikes, infrastructure will fall apart. Rioters could block roads and deliveries stopped. Toilet tissue will become currency again. THAT'S third world stuff!

Yes, yes, doom and gloom.
It's not like the Left won't try. It's whether they can get any real traction.
First, Republicans tend to pay attention better than Liberal snowflakes, and Republican organization to get folks to follow proper procedures is better than dems so the votes more likely to be challenged are dem votes.
Next, the momentum is all for Trump and Biden is mired in muck and burned out. If the vote is strongly in Trump's favor, the Left's games won't matter. Courts getting involved are likely to decide that the results of a suit that involves .1% of votes when Trump is ahead by 4% simply don't matter to the result.
Barr/DOJ/FBI have infiltrated Antifa and BLM and probably have a good idea where the trouble makers are, their general plans, and who is involved.
As others indicate, if Trump has a solid win, he is not going to put up with Leftist malarkey.
The people in many of the target zones, mostly in dem strongholds, have made it clear they are fed up with the rioters. They may demand state and federal intervention if the "peaceful protesters" get out of hand.
As to the Left claiming Trump is an illegitimate president, that's a given. Schiffty is still chasing the well dead ghost of Russian collusion. However, when the Senate is held and the House flips to the Republicans, Congress won't be playing Leftist games. The article says the Left has had 4 years to plan. You think the Republicans, Trump, the DOJ, etc. haven't?
OK, in a completely dystopian world, the worst case scenario of this article might occur. The likelihood of it actually happening is probably less than getting hit by lightning four times in the same day. It's not impossible, but ...
The Left won't go quietly but, with lots of enthusiastic help, they WILL go. The stronger our vote turnout for ALL Republicans, the more strength to resist the Left we will have. Barrett's hearings were an example. When you have an overwhelming advantage against the opposition, their options are VERY limited.

the democrats already know they've lost the election but are presenting their loss as a mandate from the people to unseat our President, again!

Companion piece to the 1/20/20 article from the A T. . I got really good at collecting and storing food by choosing proper containers. Same for ammo- do not pass up cheap thermos jugs at resale shops or yard sales. I've never had a misfire in the ensuing years since 2008.

Daughter who lives in Seattle wisely chose to put in for 2-1/2 weeks of vacation so she could be out of the flash zone post election if it should come to that. I am always glad to have her down here, but right now I am especially glad to have her safely out of that future war zone. I think there will be tantrums, democrats can do nothing else.

People have been saying for months that the civil war has already started. If so, they have just been minor skirmishes. What this article suggests is multiple simultaneous Gettysburgs. That would be bad. The communists do have a few guns and some might figure out how to work them.

Well, that was a rather depressing article. I am so nervous about this election, but something keeps pushing me forward to believe that Trump is going to win "bigly" and that they are not going to be able to force ballot recounts or discover massive amounts of uncounted ballots. Trying my best to stay positive!

It would be logical for the U.S. Supreme Court to consolidate all of the voting cases which will be numerous, to make one clean decision.
But that would require the drug-addled Chief Judas John Roberts to think clearly.
