Flynn case judge issues unusual
order telling government to
certify evidence is ‘true and correct’

In an unusual order posted Friday, the federal judge in the case of former Trump national security adviser Michael Flynn told the Justice Department to file a declaration -- under penalty of perjury -- by Monday that evidence in the case is “true and correct.” The court order was issued after prosecutors admitted accidently altered documents -- notes written by former FBI agent Peter Strzok and former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe -- were used. “The government has acknowledged that altered FBI records have been produced by the government and filed on the record in this case,” noted Judge Emmet Sullivan

This judge needs to be removed from the bench NOW. He has lost his mind. Where is Tom Finton? "President Trump appointed Judicial Watch’s Tom Fitton to a D.C. Court Oversight Committee that has the power to remove judges for misconduct, within the district. The commission includes four attorneys, one federal judge and two laypeople who can vote to remove judges for misconduct, or force judges into retirement if they become mentally or physically incapacitated." Everyone on this committee needs to get serious and have this judge removed.....NOW.

The Supreme Court should intervene, or Roberts should. This charade Sullivan is performing is a disgrace to the justice system. It's a federal judge joining the leftist, anti-Trump Resistance in plain sight. Separately, has anyone else had difficulty opening Fox News sites with Safari? I had to use Firefox ultimately to do so many times now in the past week, but no trouble with others.

“The court order was issued after prosecutors admitted accidently altered documents -- notes written by former FBI agent Peter Strzok and former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe -- were used.” 1. Did the accidental changes alter the substance of the notes? If no, then Judge Sullivan is simply continuing his persecution of Gen. Flynn. 2. If the edits changed the substance of the notes, who made them and why were they made? Did the edits help Flynn or harm him? Would have to assume that Judge Sullivan wants to keep this unlawful entrapment case against Gen Flynn going until after the election because Sullivan wants to protect Obama. Better to pervert our already tenuous justice system than to harm the legacy of Obama.

Every such order is another nail in Sullivan's coffin. In the end, whatever purpose he is fighting for, he CANNOT win. The principle of the executive branch being the sole charging power is FAR too important for the executive to cede to the judiciary. It would go to the SCOTUS and Sullivan would lose. Further, at some point, Sullivan will have to make a ruling or roll up enough terrible choices to allow Flynn to go back for a mandamus ruling, this time with enough clout to win. Once that happens, if he "convicts" Flynn he will be loudly overruled. Further, Flynn is building an ever stronger case of judicial abuse and Sullivan is NOT going to come out of that very well. Sullivan seems to be trying to prove something by dragging this out but he has already lost and is making things worse by acting spiteful. It would be great justice to see Sullivan retire or be forced out and be replaced by a Conservative judge appointed by Trump.

Agree with #1. Mr. Fitton finally has the chance to clean out corruption in our legal system. Hopefully he isn't going to be exposed as a do nothing hypocrite who is only a lot of big talk. End Flynn's persecution and torture Mr. Fitton. NOW! If the filth in congress won't do their job, at least you should.

Guessing again. Sullivan will dismiss the case in the first week of November. After his delays can no longer help the Democrats. The media will be focused only upon the election results.

It is clearly obvious that Judge Sullivan’s mission now is to delay the Flynn matter at all costs past the election. When Sullivan receives the requested certifications on Monday from the DOJ, chances are he will schedule a hearing on a date beyond Election Day (Nov 3) so that the certification can be discussed or objected to in his court. The Democrats realize that Flynn knows where all the old Obama-Biden Administration bones are buried and they did not want Flynn to have any chance to discuss his past tenure in the Obama-Biden Administration before the election. That’s why Sullivan is delaying the disposition of the case. The election result will determine how Sullivan proceeds after that. If Trump wins he will grant the pending DOJ motion and drop the pending bogus charge against Flynn as it will no longer matter politically. If Biden wins Sullivan will deny the pending DOJ motion and move on to sentence Flynn to a prison term. If the Supreme Court issues a legitimate non political ruling in Flynn’s favor before Jan 20 that will be the end, if not President Trump will pardon Flynn before he leaves office.

Judge, the DOJ has provided any corrected documents that they have learned to be incorrect, as required by law. It is illegal to provide incorrect documents to a court, so certification that documents provided to the court are correct seems unnecessary.

Seven people, all from different households, not only gathered for Thanksgiving but distributed to the media pictorial evidence of them flouting mask mandates and social distancing edicts. No governor yet claims jurisdiction over the International Space Station but the astronauts have a lot of explaining to do when they return to earth. It’s not as though they lacked for space. Governors ordering around people 250 miles above their states seems far-fetched. But so, too, did the notion of governors usurping the role of legislatures. Eight months after the initial coronavirus lockdowns, citizens docilely accept the idea of a single person dictating the laws that govern millions of people.

Will Joe Biden and his foreign-policy team accept the extraordinary gift Team Trump is leaving for them under the Christmas tree — or is their hatred for the president so all-consuming that they will toss it in the garbage? Pompeo was referring to the May 2018 release of three Americans detained in North Korea -- all were accused of anti-state activities.

The practice of democracy in our constitutional republic flourishes in the presence of contradictions. Democracy, itself, is bound by our inalienable rights, bestowed to us by our Creator. These rights, not given to us by our government by any majority or by any vote, cannot be rescinded, for they were not wrought by man. Voting is a contradiction for it is both public and private at the same time. Its process is intended to be secret, but transparent. Its agency is intensely partisan, but its effect is intended to be unifying. The legitimacy of voting must survive despite the contradictions intrinsic to the process.
Trump’s Flynn Pardon:

Will Judge Emmett Sullivan accept President Trump’s pardon of General Michael Flynn? No one has suggested that possibility, other than The New York Sun. The general’s case, though, has become a bonfire of the vanities of one district judge who has denied the presumption of regularity to an official act of the United States government — meaning Attorney General William Barr’s attempt to drop the case. So why would Judge Sullivan credit President Trump’s workaround of a pardon? We understand, the pardon could be the least fettered of all the powers that the Constitution grants to the president.

Many conservatives have moved their social-media accounts to the more freewheeling Parler, and often have slammed the supposedly monopolistic Facebook and Twitter as they’ve decamped from those sites. I have chuckled at some of their overheated parting rhetoric — especially the widespread misunderstanding about the meaning of the word “monopoly.” A monopoly is, as the Oxford dictionary explains, “the exclusive possession or control of the supply of or trade in a commodity or service.” Quite obviously, if one stops doing business with a company and heads over to its competitor, then the previous company is not by definition in exclusive possession or control of a service.

The court of appeals ruled in an 11-5 majority that Planned Parenthood did not have the right to challenge the state's decisions regarding who receives Medicaid benefits.
