Cancer-stricken talk radio legend Rush Limbaugh provided listeners a somber update on his condition Monday after recent scans showed “some progression of cancer,” which he said is “not dramatic” but still a step in the wrong direction. Limbaugh announced in February that he was diagnosed with advanced lung cancer and had missed several shows this month to undergo treatment. “From the moment you get the diagnosis, there’s a part of you every day, OK, that’s it, life’s over, you just don’t know when,” Limbaugh said. “So, during the period of time after the diagnosis, you do what you can to prolong life

I only caught a brief part of his show today and recall thinking he sounded a little raspy. It doesn't sound like they ever did surgery on him.

Every time someone I know is given a diagnosis like Rush’s, I hope that maybe this time it will be different. It never is. I can’t tell you how sad I am to read this, not only on its face, but knowing how happy and vicious the left will be. What will we do without Rush?

This breaks my heart. It truly does.
I hope I'm not breaking any Lucianne rules, but if I were to ever catch this terrible disease, I know that I would take a combination of some of the following supplements:
1. Modified Citrus Pectin
2. Apricot Seeds (a.k.a. Vitamin B-17)
3. IP6 or Rice Bran Oil
4. Chryslin
5. Maitake Mushroom Extract
6. Dry Vitamin E (a.k.a. D-Alpha Tocopheryl Succinate)
7. Xanthohumol
8. Agaricus Blazei Mushrooms
9. Black Seed Oil
10. Moringa
11. AHCC (Active Hexose Correlated Compound)
And I would also demand that my doctor give me the ulcerative-colitis drug, Sulfasalazine. Again, that's what I would do and I don't suggest that anyone try these things.

My brother in law was diagnosed with cancer at 52. He underwent chemo for two years, and each time the cancer would appear to disappear, only to come roaring back. After the doctors offered a new experimental treatment that would almost disable him for a month, he said no. He had had enough, and he was gone within six months. I think if there isn't an improvement in his condition or the chance of improvement, Rush will reach that point of having had enough. A world without Rush would be very difficult. He has the ability to see things that are obvious only after he makes them known.

This truly breaks my heart. I remember when my doctor came in after my biopsy and bluntly stated “you have cancer”. It takes your breath away. Your priorities change. You wonder what you did that caused this. My heart aches for Rush and his family.

I just found out last Friday my little brother who’s 56 has had lung cancer for about 1 1/2 years. It’s spread to his back and brain and the hospital staff broke a femur moving him during treatment. I can almost see you cringing reading this. He’s a proud stubborn man who doesn’t want anyone to know even now. We don’t live close and he’s ignoring my texts. I can’t imagine a world without Rush or my brother Cancer does indeed suck.

We pray to the Almighty God, our Creator, that Rush will pull through. My sister in law is battling small cell lung cancer since last year August. Medical science has bought her some time with chemical treatment. But, at this stage, the cancer is winning and is determined to win.

This is indeed sad news. I missed his show today but remember thinking last week that he sounded SO GOOD. I was feeling very optimistic about his future.
No one will take his place. But there will others. He has been wise all these years to have multiple guest hosts. Don't know who will step up to the plate.
Praying that Rush still has many good days ahead.

As long as I and millions of other Dittoheads are alive, Rush will be . His legacy will be that he kept liberty alive at a time when it was under attack by the evil left. It is my hope that this fact gives him and his loved ones, as well as ours , a country that survives in perpetuity.

#10- “You wonder what you did that caused this.” ~~~ Quite likely, nothing. We live in a sinful world—Satan and his angels were cast out of heaven to earth. It has been written that Satan makes war on God’s people and Church, “on those who keep the Commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus.” Be assured, God does no evil—God “punished Jesus in our place for our sins, and that we are not punished.” God works all things for our good.
Rush has said and believes that his talent is “on loan from God.” Indeed it is. Our lives are “on loan from God.” Through Rush, God has worked things for our good as individuals and as a nation. He has been a guiding light not only in sharing his talent, his gift from God in a political realm, but for his love of God and personal relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus. Rush’s faith is a truly rare, remarkable, most welcome guiding light as a witness to our Lord that touches hearts spiritually as well as compassionately.
For our treasured and much loved Rush, and for all who believe in our Triune God: “Do not be afraid of tomorrow; for God is already there.” (Author Unknown)

Rush said he was on second base, I say that's a great place to be.
I imagine he is pushing his limits during this runup to the election. I hope he hasn't shelved his treatment for the duration, I kinda think he has.
All I know for sure is Rush Limbaugh is, not was.

I hope he stays optimistic. As a 2 time cancer survivor, I feel optimism has helped me considerably to heal and recover from a 50/50 chance each time. How fondly I remember first listening to Rush in the 90's. The constant thought was "Wow, how great to listen to someone I agree with. He thinks like me!" It has been comforting and educational to listen to him all of these years. After hearing he had cancer, I signed up for two years of Rush 24/7 sharing my optimism for his recovery. Miracles happen! Prayers are powerful! LOVE that man and all he stands for!!

We know Rush is facing tough odds, but he did not say he is throwing in the towel. He said he had a setback. He described it as rounding the bases and discovering between second and third that he had to get back to second base fast. For now at least, Rush is still fighting and there is hope.

As a cancer survivor, I feel his pain. One day he said how tired he was after chemo. By the time you feel better, it's time to go again. Under the Obola regime, those over 75 didn't deserve the latest greatest treatment and there are doctors out here who agree. Sometimes by the time you find the cancer, it's advanced.
I wish cancer on no one. Pray for Rush.

Several posters have mentioned natural treatments...there are many and to ignore them is supremely foolish...what have you got to lose?
When the Doctors tell you to go home and die it's past time to try something that isn't from Big Pharma's bag that is designed to do one thing...to make money!

the 1994 congressional elections resulted in a takeover in both Houses by Republicans, and the credit for that belonged to Rush.
And I remember watching him addressing the freshmen Republican House members in early 1995.
he accepted their accolades, and warned them to beware of the mainstream media.
and he offered this.
"Cokie Roberts will invite you to lunch, flatter you, make you feel good, but she is the enemy. (or words to that effect.) So be careful."
I began to listen to Rush while driving to0 and from arbitration hearings, back around 1990. No matter where I was in the U.S. I could find him on the radio at noon. (Except in Cleveland, Ohio, where I recall that he was on a one hour delay.)
He made good sense in most cases, and even when I didn't agree with him,. I respected his opinion.
he will be missed.
I also watched his induction into the Radio Hall of Fame, back in the 1990s. Sally Jesse Raphael didn't like him, but for some procedural reason, was required to introduce him. And she made a damned fool of herself, slamming Rush.
And when Rush accepted the award, he graciously ignored Sally7's nasty words.
A classy guy.
