Oreo Dips Itself Into Social Change,
Makes a Special Cookie Celebrating
the Parents of Lesbians and Gays

Not long ago, business was a very dry arena. If a company made a calculator, that’s all you would ever know. These days, it seems corporations have calculated the benefit of messaging. Therefore, they’re investing in the social and political realm. Case in point: Oreo has teamed with PFLAG — Parents and Friends of Lesbians And Gays — to release a special edition of its delicious, milk-ready mainstays. And not only that — the confection colossus has produced a short film about a mom and her lesbian daughter. As for the new multi-colored treats, don’t look for ’em in-store — they can only be won online.

Comments:

Nabisco only putting one toe in the water, as they will not be on grocers' shelves. The Rainbow Oreos will be only given away with the help of PFLAG. ( don't ask) . No mention of the delicacy's segregation of the black cookies and the white cream filling.

Nabisco knows what would likely happen if the rainbow Oreos showed up in stores, so they play it safe and frame it as a “special” cookie one “wins.” Not sure if they get that compromise = a solution nobody likes.

It looks like we need an election process at our corporations where each party nominates a candidate for officers, and an election is held---except Democrats will corrupt the system so only Democrats will be elected. This is why socialism is hell. Please return me to the peace and prosperity of capitalism.

It was another one of those Jussie Smollett-like "hate crimes" that sounded perfectly made up to any well-adjusted person, which probably explains why liberals fell for it, hook, line, and sinker. On the 197th day of “15 days to slow the spread,” California Gov. Gavin Newsom (Democrat, of course) has moved the reopening goalposts yet again. Originally counties had to meet metrics aimed at ensuring adequate rates of testing and the availability of hospital/ICU beds/ventilators. (Contact tracing was supposed to be a part of that, but that effort’s been a big fat joke). Once hospitalization rates, ventilator usage, and death rates plummeted over the summer Newsom changed his strategy and enacted by gubernatorial fiat a tiered system that completely ignored those metrics and instead focused on daily new cases and positivity rate. The liberals' worst nightmare has come to pass: Ruth Bader Ginsburg died during the Trump administration. Many supporters had urged her to retire during Obama's tenure so he could appoint her leftist successor. But with arrogant defiance, Ginsburg stayed on the bench, certain, no doubt, that President Hillary Clinton would name her successor. Reality's one tough customer. Now President Trump has nominated Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court. We'll let all the others recount her unimpeachable credentials. Suffice to say, Mrs. Barrett is at least as qualified for the bench as was Mrs. Ginsburg. Ginsburg was confirmed 96-3 in just 50 days.
