Don Lemon: 'Blow up the entire system'
and eliminate the Electoral College

CNN host Don Lemon proposed radically changing the U.S. political system to take power away from the "minority" vote in the country. During the hand-off before his show Monday night, Lemon debated fellow network host Chris Cuomo by arguing Democrats should push to eliminate the Electoral College, which would require a constitutional amendment. Lemon said such a feat was possible if Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden wins the presidency and Democrats "stack the courts." "Until you have a group of people that decide to consistently be better than what they reject, you’re going to have people in the exact position

Comments:

Ignorant people like Don Lemon are exactly why the Founding Fathers did not want pure democracy. Street mobs make for bad governance.

The idiot doesn't know that "stacking the courts" would do nothing to pass an amendment. Passage requires approval of 75% of the states. And these are the people lecturing us on what i best for us and how we should live our lives. Sad...

Don Lemon loves America. Yes, he does. He loves his job-a black man in a prominent role at a major media outlet, appearing every night on national television, fer chrissakes! Wow! And man, does he get paid! In American greenbacks no less, the most stable and trustworthy currency in the world. The opportunities he has had in his life have all gone his way. Where else in the whole of planet Earth could he rise to such a position. He did it in America-the single best place in the world to pursue your dreams. Look at what a success story he is. I just can;t understand why someone who has so clearly benefitted from living in our great country would badmouth it at all-such hypocrisy is completely illogical. What could drive someone who has so clearly succeeded in his profession, who has achieved al he he has, then go and accuse the very country that has provided him with such largesse of being a racist, predatory country for people of color? I guess this just means that Don Lemon is a hypocritical lying fool, and doesn;t even believe a word of what he himself says every night. Watching Lemon spout his BS is an out of body experience. He himself is the best evidence that what he says is completely false and untrue.

The U.S. Constitution does not specify the number of Justices on the SC. No Amendment is required to pack the SC. Packing the SC is highly unlikely. President Franklin D. Roosevelt floated a trial balloon to pack the SC at the height of his popularity and it went nowhere. The bigger threat is Dems making Puerto Rico and Washington, D.C. additional states, although it's probable that making D.C. a state is unconstitutional.

Senate Democrats are tamping down talk of expanding the Supreme Court if Republicans fill the seat held by the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Progressive activists and some lawmakers have raised the idea since Ginsburg’s death was announced on Friday night, arguing the party needs to be ready to take bold steps if they have the Senate majority and the White House next year while facing a 6-3 conservative court. The effort would tie together two controversial ideas: nixing the 60-vote legislative filibuster and then passing legislation to add seats to the Supreme Court, which has been set at nine
