The Democratic National Convention formally nominated Joe Biden as its presidential candidate on Tuesday night, but the roll call of states and territories also included the votes for runner-up Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.). Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), a prominent Sanders supporter, seconded his nomination, and this is how NBC News recapped her short nominating speech: "In one of the shortest speeches of the DNC, Rep. Ocasio-Cortez did not endorse Joe Biden." After being criticized for political illiteracy, NBC News deleted the tweet and issued a clarification about how conventions work. Not surprisingly, NBC obediently deleted the message that did not please the La Guerilla.

I am tired of the likes of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez telling me how I should live while she benefits from her $178,000 salary. . . that I pay for with my hard-earned dollars.

Well, little girl, you live by the sword, die by the sword. You. and the rest of the children crying for communism (disguised as some kind of benevolent socialism) still fail to understand that you will be consumed by that which you champion. You are not safe from the mob either!

I find it hilarious that the left is now admitting and broadcasting that the MSN is fake news. We all knew that, now more on the left may do a little digging and realize they are lied to non-stop 24/7.

It was true, but accurate. She was allotted only 60 seconds to speak, did not endorse Joe Biden (or even mention his name), and did second the nomination of Bernie Sanders. Nothing makes liberals more angry than when someone accurately reports what they say and do. Fortunately for liberals, that is something that the mainstream media rarely does.

It will be a hoot to watch the Democrat deep state/establishment cut AOC off at the knees. It will happen some day, just wait. Either NY will redistrict her out of existence or she'll take on Chuckie Schumer in the '22 primary. Grab the popcorn and watch the show.

I have read that AOC owes thousands of dollars in back taxes. It should be a law that any elected official who owes back taxes must resign and be compelled to pay up. We 'deplorable' citizens cannot get away with such crime.

An incident captured on video appeared to show two women who were protesting President Donald Trump on Thursday taking a "Make America Great Again" hat from a child and tearing up pro-Trump posters. The incident continued to escalate throughout the video as the women and the child's mother shouted back and forth and threatened each other with physical injury. "They attacked my son. I have it on video," the boy's mother can be heard telling a man at one point during the video. One of the women can then be heard responding to the allegation: "Nobody touched your kid. Back

TAMPA, Fla. — Tropical Storm Laura is expected to impact the Leeward Islands after strengthening as we move into peak hurricane season over the next month. The 10 Tampa Bay weather team is monitoring Laura closely. On Friday, the National Hurricane Center had the storm's potential path shifting southwest, which takes most of the Tampa Bay area out of the forecast cone. Laura is expected to reach hurricane strength early next week as it moves by Florida. A 2 p.m. update from the NHC said Laura was about 280 miles east-southeast of the northern Leeward Islands, packing sustained winds of 45

DENVER – As the city of Denver seeks to provide a wide variety of equitable, affordable housing options in the city, the city’s planning board has voted in favor of proposed plans to its group living rules. The proposed plans will now go to the city council for discussion and decision. (Snip) The proposed group living changes would allow five unrelated adults to live in a single-family home that is less than 1,800 square feet, instead of only two. For every additional 200 square feet, another unrelated adult is allowed to live on the property, with up to 10 people
Conflict Between Kamala Harris

When Kamala Harris takes the stage at the Democratic National Convention tonight, she’ll doubtless project an image of absolute harmony with presidential nominee Joe Biden, the man who has lifted her to newfound fame and potential great power. On Thursday night, Biden will glory in his history-making decision. The two candidates will bask in their mutual regard. But, if they’re elected, policy differences and irritations are going to arise. Vice presidents are politicians who usually got pretty far on their own, and they’re human beings; to constantly subordinate oneself to one’s boss requires exceptional discipline and self-effacement, something at which

Second only to New Jersey in deaths per capita from the coronavirus, New York has suffered more than 32,000 deaths from the pandemic overall, roughly 20,000 more than any other state in the union. And unlike other states, New York's horrific death toll can be attributed to two specific decisions: first, Gov. Andrew Cuomo's refusal to shut down the New York City subway system, which functioned as a petri dish of the pandemic and became a main vector of its spread, and second, his disastrous nursing home directive which forced facilities to readmit patients who tested positive for the virus

The Army is launching an investigation into two soldiers who appeared in uniform during Democratic National Convention coverage Tuesday night, the service announced Wednesday. During the broadcast, two soldiers in uniform flanked officials from American Samoa while the territory awarded its delegates during the roll call at the Democratic National Convention. The appearance goes against Defense Department regulations, which prohibit all troops from being in uniform at partisan political or campaign events. Including uniformed military personnel in the video was an “oversight,” according to a Democratic Convention official. “Each state was asked to highlight issues and values that matter most

After notching three consecutive weeks of gains, the Standard & Poor’s 500 index closed at 3,389, gaining 0.2 percent on the day. The finish capped a remarkable comeback from the March plunge that slashed 34 percent off the previous record, set Feb. 19, as the pandemic tightened its grip on the country. Investors Tuesday brushed aside worries about the nation’s continuing struggle to contain the pandemic, focusing instead on signs of strength in

Three crew of a Seattle fishing boat who were found to have antibodies able to neutralise the new coronavirus remained uninfected in an outbreak that swept through the ship, sickening most people on board, researchers have reported. The small real-world study, which has not been peer-reviewed, is among the first in humans to suggest a link between neutralising antibodies -- those that stop the virus latching onto host cells -- and protection from infection. Researchers from the University of Washington and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle screened 120 of 122 people before they boarded the fishing vessel in May

The modern left-wing tactic of protesting at the private homes of their targets in an effort to intimidate them into doing what they want won’t work with Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot. The police say they’ve banned protests from the mayor’s block and will arrest anyone who doesn’t leave. Lightfoot just isn’t radical enough for Black Lives Matter. She won’t defund the police (she didn’t just escape from a mental institution, after all) and refuses to condemn the officers for trying to keep order. I wonder if the fact that Lightfoot enjoys police protection 24-7 has anything to do with her reluctance to criticize the cops too harshly.

The water filter inside a household refrigerator is a simple device: a plastic tube packed with activated carbon. Nonetheless, replacement filters for certain GE refrigerators cost a stiff $55. And they need to be replaced every six months. So it’s no surprise that many GE fridge owners seek cheaper generic filters. These fit just fine. But when the owner presses the button to dispense water or ice, nothing comes out. The culprit is a bit of engineering almost as in-genious as it is infuriating. It seems that official GE replacement filters include a small RFID chip whose only purpose is to tell the refrigerator
