Minnesota Wild defenseman Matt Dumba gave a powerful speech as they NHL retsumed play after a months-long pause due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Dumba and the Wild are in the NHL's Western Conference "bubble" in Edmonton, where the first game played Saturday afternoon was between the hometown Oilers and the Chicago Blackhawks. (snip) "On behalf of the NHL and the Hockey Diversity Alliance, we vow and promise to stand up for injustice and fight for what is right," Dumba said.

It's the middle of summer. Why are the NBA and NHL playing at all? If these sports are playing now, when are they planning on starting the next season?

I only speak for myself but I am way past any patience being lectured by 'woke' athletes about being racist simply because I draw a breath The 'woke' didn't grow up in the segregated south (and north) where real racism was rampant. And they didn't grow up when blacks didn't slaughter each other every weekend in most major cities. I did grew up with forced busing, quotas and later affirmative discrimination. The fact is a Hades of a lot was wrong and much has been done to improve things. Its not some wild south with the Klan holding huge rallies several times a year. Find a real problem, study it and then tell me how to solve it. This systemic BS is nothing more guilt trip made to justify more Just-Us.

Fully produced event with a red carpet, microphone, and special BLACK LIVES MATTER signage, no doubt approved at the league level, making it worse than Colon K's kneeling antics. The NHL endorses the Marxist takeover of our nation, and in turn, people of goodwill should show them the door.

I'll buy their BS when the NHL and NBA apply "affirmative action" to their rosters to properly balance race and ethnicity numbers. I'm also amused that Canadians recognize themselves as racists. It's a North American thing...well, except for Mexico and parts south where the Spanish conquistadors did their thing and the victims weren't black.

Dumbo has fallen for this line of excrement of systemic racism hook, line and sinker. As far as hockey goes, if you can skate and play within the teams system and occasionally put the puck in the net, you will be accepted. Color has nothing to do with it. The big drawback to getting into hockey is the expense of skates, fancy sticks and uniforms. Those items aren’t cheap! It can cost up to $400 to equip a kid and one has to lay out even more money as the kid grows. And then there is the cost of ice time. When one is at the bottom of the social strata, coming by this stuff is very hard unless an angel donates the equipment, which is something the NHL and the players can do. If there’s racism, it’s from the knuckleheads in the stands throwing insults at the players.

When I saw this live, I thought he was a mulatto or quadroon. Turns out he’s of Filipino, German, and Romanian descent.
That notwithstanding, it was a pathetic and irritating performance.

This B.S. is starting to wear thin. I stopped watching the NBA and the NFL and now I'll add in hockey. Sick of being lectured by the same people who are responsible for over 60% of the violent crimes and murders in our country. Systemic racism exists only in the weak minds of these sorry athletes and their supporters. There was justice in the murder of George Floyd. The cop was arrested and charged with murder. You see, they are who they want you to hate. The real racists are the ones preaching about it. Got it.

What is is about a certain race that causes them to destroy the fan base of the sport that provides them with a good income? So far, no white NHL player has knelt during the playing of the anthem. The NHL has committed to being "all in" on promoting Black Lives Matter prior to their games now, as the virtue signaling was way overdone this weekend. I thought that hockey might be the exception to this white guilt trend, as there are a number of players who grew up in the European countries where their families experienced Soviet dominance and seem to understand freedom better than many of the American players. But, I might have misjudged things.

So far as I can tell blacks are not only the singular race that can't be successful’ even with the help of numerous government programs such as war on poverty etc. Others like Asians, Mexicans, Indians from India, and Arabs seem to fare well. Could it be all these aid programs directed at blacks has kept them in poverty?

Matt Dumbass is the face of the NHL. A Canadian speaks for /to Americans on race. Next the NHL will use on of their European players to insult Americans.

We should have kept Hocky a Whites only sport. After all, Blacks have MLB, NFL and the NBA, so it's only fair we have one all white sport. But NOOO some dumbass had to let in a couple of Blacks and look what happens. They have to take a Knee. Never happened before, but now that we have a couple of Black players they are going to ruin it for me! And before you know it, it too will be taken over by Blacks! That leaves Golf, and it's not my favorite thing to watch since I'm not a Golfer! Geesh!

The Dumba family forgot to add "ass" to the end of their name. Hockey players are paid to play hockey and have no qualifications of statesmanship on their resumes. We have seen all we need to see of their brand of social justice in the past few months and soundly reject it and their false claims against non-black people.

Oh for heaven's sake. He couldn't have made his statement standing? Just had to "kneel." Give me a break. The man's not even American!! And I was so hopeful that at least hockey would see through this nonsense...sigh...When they "stand" with BLM, they "stand" with everything connected with them: rioting, looting, burning courthouses, overturning statues. This is not a noble movement. It is anarchy. And they're "kneeling" for it? Morons.
