Hundreds gathered outside the West Berkeley Whole Foods on Friday to protest the store’s policy on Black Lives Matter-branded apparel. In an Instagram post last week, a now-former employee at the West Berkeley Whole Foods says store management told her to remove the Black Lives Matter she was wearing because it was too “controversial” and the company wanted to stay “neutral.” According to Berkeleyside Nosh, the employee subsequently quit her job rather than abide by the policy, and on Friday, hundreds of protesters came out to support her — and to voice their disapproval of what they saw as Whole

If you don't like the policy don't shop at the store. Anything else is just an excuse for wilding!

I guess the only answer is to burn it down. Whole Foods is just another roadkill on the highway to revolution.

As Poster 7 said, “follow the trail.” The trail starts with the former employee. Out her.

I doubt any store permits employees to wear gang attire. Also I bet their policy on MAGA apparel is the same.

Those who support Black Lives Matter-branded apparel ostensibly support the Marxist BLM insurrectionists, who demand to control your speech (and thoughts). It's all about CONTROL for them and the undermining of American society. As such, BLM is the enemy of America.

If they restrict the 'controversial' how long before MAGA masks are evicted?

If I have to put up with the ban on MAGA, Trump2020, and Don't Tread On Me, they can bear having to NOT wear BLM gesar, which I find offensive.
If you don't like it, there's the door.

I would be willing to bet Whole Foods folds on this like a cheap suit. When they do, and the employees are allowed to where their BLM apparel, I hope at least one of the other employees has the nuts to wear some MAGA gear.
Then wait for the weak/cowardly double standard & hypocrisy that always follows.

MAGA masks are ok, and are the only legally certified mask. All others are declared unsafe and are banned, subject to $2500 store penalty per incident, and $1000 fine to persons. That's the policy that our Republican Governors should mandate for entry into any store in their states.

Aw hell fire! She didn't really want to work anyway so quitting her job is no big deal. She got her 15 minutes and a junior choir to support her. Win-Win. Whole foods got ride of a Hole (but the hole will wan to get her job back, just you watch and see).

I owned my own business before I retired. We were on the downtown Main Street and I would occasionally get asked by someone who wanted to put a political poster in our window. No matter which side or candidate the poster advocated, I always refused. A business should stay neutral. There is no advantage in making some of your customers mad. It’s simply common sense. There quite a few corporations that I will never buy their products again. That idiot at Gillette found out the hard way. Gillette’s customers are men so he airs two commercials insulting...men. Makes me wonder they are teaching in business school these days.
