Two teenagers face charges after authorities said they threatened people with guns for not buying water from them in Buckhead. The separate incidents took place along a half-mile stretch of Peachtree Road on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons, Atlanta police Sgt. John Chafee said Friday in a statement. About 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, officers were flagged down by a man near Peachtree and Piedmont roads, according to the statement. The man said a group of juveniles who had been selling water at the intersection assaulted him.

I can't believe the article calls the two thugs arrested and found with guns "children."

No mention of race in the article but we can safely guess that they are the usual suspect “teens”.

I'm sorry for the long post from the article but this is absolutely crazy... FTA...'Earlier this month, Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms issued an administrative order creating an advisory council tasked with developing strategies to help promote youth entrepreneurship in the city. “Our youth, including those who take to the streets to sell water and other goods, have shown us how productive and capable they can be as up-and-coming entrepreneurs,” And just how soon will it be 'racist' if one doesn't buy water from these up and coming entrepreneurs? Productive and capable is code for sticking a gun in someone's face to coerce them to buy water and just how soon will it be racist if one doesn't buy water from these up and coming entrepreneurs?

Buckhead is among the wealthiest neighborhoods in the country, The Beverly Hills of the South. I took a few business trips there in the past. During down time we'd go for a jog and marvel at the incredible homes...mansions really. Hopefully the APD will be able to sweep the streets clean of this vermin.

Saw that comment from Mayor Bottoms. This sounds even worse than 20+ years ago when some would catch you exiting the freeway in downtown and squirt water on your windshield to wash it without asking and expect payment.

So what is the point of arresting these 'youths'? The intake officers refused to hold them, so they were simply released to their 'families' so they can have their milk and cookies and be out terrorizing the streets again in 24 hours. Our police put their lives on the line to remove these feral rats, and they are simply released without question back onto the streets. No wonder police retirements are through the roof.
