President Trump announced Friday that he signed an executive order to protect American monuments, memorials and statues and threatened those who try to pull them down with “long prison time.”(Snip)The new order enforces laws prohibiting the desecration of public monuments, the vandalism of government property, and recent acts of violence, withholds federal support tied to public spaces from state and local governments that have failed to protect public monuments, and withdraws federal grants for jurisdictions and law enforcement agencies that fail to stop their desecration. It also provides assistance for protecting the federal statues.

Comments:

In addition to withholding federal support from states and local governments failing to protect public monuments, the executive order “withdraws federal grants for jurisdictions and law enforcement agencies that fail to stop their desecration.” Attorney General Barr has directed creation of a task force to oppose anti-government extremists headed by U.S. Attorneys Craig Carpenito (New Jersey) and Erin Nealy Cox (Northern Texas) and composed of U.S. Attorneys’ Offices, FBI and other relevant departments.

Please sign an executive order to protect Americans from mandatory mask policies. Even the Republicans in the House of Rep's are being bullied by the Democrats. The Republicans have to put a stop to this.

This is why we should all pray for Rush! What in the world will we do without him!! He always picks us up when we are down. He is the voice of reason! I have listened to him for 30 years and on the days he has someone sitting in, I can see there is nobody close to being Rush! We need to heed what he says and stay on point. We need to not waiver in our support for Trump because he loses this election, we all lose! Our way of life will change forever!

Well, now my best friend of 45 years and USNA room mate, who is one quarter Cherokee, can now flourish since Land O' Lakes finally removed that hateful picture of a beautiful Indian woman off their packages. There's no telling how much better his calculus grades could have been had their not been so much hate sporting the butter and whipping cream packages all these years. The Man is still sticking it to me (7/8 Irish) with that fascist leprechaun on all those boxes of Lucky Charms. Think of how much better the nation could be if we only had statues of the leader of CHAZ in a pose that demands white people to give ten bucks to any black person. That's John Lennon's "Imagine" coming true right there.

So, the US Government is going to enforce laws on the books that have largely been overlooked for years and decades...maybe. Let's see how much Seattle's law enforcement money is cut. Or those cities that defund/abolish their police departments, like Minneapolis is considering. Maybe we can reclaim all that surplus military equipment given them, too. If one reads the E.O. to the end, DOJ still has the discretion to prosecute...or not. Gonna clog the Federal courts with graffiti artists? But, it makes for good politics. The emergency injunctions will begin in three...two...one...

I do not mean to be negative. However, Barr creating yet another task force to do what the DOJ, local and state officials and law enforcement are ALREADY supposed to be doing is ridiculous. This simply spreads arounds accountability so its confusing as to who exactly is in charge. The FBI being part of it is unfortunate. Nobody has any faith in the FBI.

Baltimore, Cleveland, Denver, Milwaukee, and Pittsburgh are among the cities that have officially declared that racism is a public health crisis. A number of states are also moving in that direction. Senator Sherrod Brown intends to push a similar resolution in the Senate. The medicalization of racism has been backed by the American Medical Association, whose heads have called on “health institutions and physician organizations to explicitly denounce police violence” and urged “clinics, hospital and healthcare providers to review and reconsider their policies and relationships with law enforcement”.

From one perspective, the surreal absurdity of the current protests, vandalism, and riots is not even close to the disruption and mayhem of the political violence in the Sixties and Seventies.(Snip)But what’s going on today is more dangerous, for the ideologies driving the disorder reflect just how successful the leftist “long march through the institutions” has been at corrupting American education and culture over the last half a century. SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — President Donald Trump’s plans to kick off Independence Day with a showy display at Mount Rushmore are drawing sharp criticism from Native Americans who view the monument as a desecration of land violently stolen from them and used to pay homage to leaders hostile to native people. Several groups led by Native American activists are planning protests for Trump’s July 3 visit, part of Trump's “comeback” campaign for a nation reeling from sickness, unemployment and, recently, social unrest. The event is slated to include fighter jets thundering over the 79-year-old stone monument in South Dakota's Black Hills

The host then connected protesters, Democrats and federal agencies, saying they were jointly responsible for the division and destruction in America.

We usually associate courage (or its absence) with leadership by elected officials: There are times when it is hard to stand up for your principles, to stand against your own party, or both. People are getting tired of his antics and the insults he hurls at his opponents. The media is increasingly confident that, come November, the voters will elect a new chief executive. This might sound like June 2020, but I’m actually referring to June 1948 — when President Harry Truman, a Democrat, was running to keep his job against Republican Thomas Dewey. The similarities between the 1948 and 2020 elections are striking.
