Greta Thunberg says the world needs to learn the lessons of coronavirus and treat climate change with similar urgency. That means the world acting "with necessary force", the Swedish climate activist says in an exclusive interview with BBC News. She doesn't think any "green recovery plan" will solve the crisis alone. And she says the world is now passing a "social tipping point" on climate and issues such as Black Lives Matter.  Corrections*

I was thinking that Trump should take credit for the improved environmental statistics, such as cleaner air and the reduction in carbon emissions etc, just to trigger the left more. (even though they are mostly the result of the Covid19 shutdown)

Greta comes out of her corner to complain that she's not the trendy search these days, with her thunb still in her mouf. Ironically, though, she may be letting the truth out this time -- climate change is just as important as co-19... both wildly overblown poop piles.

Saudi Arabia has detained three senior Saudi princes including Prince Ahmed bin Abdulaziz, the younger brother of King Salman, and Prince Mohammed bin Nayef, the king's nephew, for allegedly planning a coup, sources with knowledge of the matter said.  Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, King Salman's son and de facto ruler of the country, the world's top oil exporter and a key U.S. ally, has moved to consolidate power since ousting Mohammed bin Nayef as heir to the throne in a 2017 palace coup. Later that year, he arrested several royals and other prominent Saudis, holding them for months at Riyadh's Ritz-Carlton hotel in an anti-corruption campaign that caused shockwaves at home and abroad.

It's the most powerful greenhouse gas known to humanity, and emissions have risen rapidly in recent years, the BBC has learned. Sulphur hexafluoride, or SF6, is widely used in the electrical industry to prevent short circuits and accidents. But leaks of the little-known gas in the UK and the rest of the EU in 2017 were the equivalent of putting an extra 1.3 million cars on the road.

Brett Favre says that Colin Kaepernick’s decision to forego his NFL career in order to continue his anthem protests and social justice movement, is a sacrifice in league with former NFL player and Army Ranger Pat Tillman. Flavortown. That’s what thousands of people want to rename Columbus, Ohio, according to a new petition posted on change.org. And the petition poster sounds serious.“Beloved Buckeyes one and all,” wrote someone identifying himself as Tyler Woodbridge. “Columbus is an amazing city, but one whose name is tarnished by the very name itself. Its namesake, Christopher Columbus, is in The Bad Place because of all his raping, slave trading, and genocide. That’s not exactly a proud legacy.”

There is an old saying that if you don’t blow your own horn, there won’t be any music. Gov. Andrew Cuomo obviously is a believer, having ended his streak of 111 daily coronavirus briefings with another blast of praise for himself. From March 2 until Friday, he held forth in marathon appearances that boosted his political ratings. Early on he hit an incredible 87 percent approval in the state and an April poll found that 56 percent of national Democrats wanted to dump Joe Biden and make Cuomo the presidential nominee. That support reflected how skillfully the governor performed in front of the camera.
