In my household, the nightly self-administered dose of anxiety commences at dinnertime when my wife switches on MSNBC. As the president blunders through a press briefing leaving behind a trail of disinformation, my spouse invariably delivers an impassioned stream of expletives at the screen. Then we listen to the pundits, who have lately spent a worrisome amount of time commenting on the many devious ways in which our commander-in-chief could lose the election but remain president anyway. Frankly, I simply cannot deal with this possibility. I’m already on anxiety meds and there’s probably no medication in existence that can take the edge off

Former MSNBC host Keith Olbermann slammed President Donald Trump as a “terrorist” in a shocking rant calling for the president to be “expunged.”The liberal pundit, who announced his exit from ESPN this week, unloaded on Trump on his YouTube channel Thursday, even calling for the president’s supporters and conservatives including Supreme Court nominee Judge Amy Coney Barrett to be “prosecuted and convicted and removed from our society.” (Video) In announcing his departure from ESPN this week to allow him to do more political commentary, Olbermann launched what he described as a “new live, daily commentary series with YouTube, focused on the presidential election.”

Teen climate change activist Greta Thunberg has endorsed Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.
“I never engage in party politics. But the upcoming US elections is above and beyond all that,” Thunberg tweeted. “From a climate perspective it’s very far from enough and many of you of course supported other candidates. But, I mean…you know…damn! Just get organized and get everyone to vote #Biden”(Snip for tweet) Thunberg has become an outspoken figure, drawing much media attention since leading school strikes in her home country of Sweden in 2018. She won Time’s Person of the Year award and was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize in 2019.

A new report says that President Trump wanted to show he was superhero-strong when he left the hospital after being treated for coronavirus. The New York Times is reporting that while he was at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center receiving coronavirus treatment, President Trump expressed a desire to stage a release-day stunt. The newspaper reported that, on several photo calls made from inside the hospital's presidential suite during his three-day stay, Trump toyed with the idea of likening himself to Superman.

Senate Judiciary Committee member Chris Coons (D., Del.) on Sunday said that Republicans’ push to confirm Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett ahead of the November 3 election “constitutes court packing” and called the judge’s views “not just extreme,” but “disqualifying.”

Coons’s comments came during an appearance on Chris Wallace’s “Fox News Sunday,” in which he defended Democrats’ calls to add additional seats to the Supreme Court in retaliation for the Senate going forward with Barrett’s confirmation hearings only weeks before the election.

Washington–Pressure is mounting on the leaders of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention—from inside and outside the agency—to speak publicly against the White House’s manhandling of CDC research and public health decisions, with career scientists so demoralized they are talking of quitting if President Donald Trump wins re-election. The situation came to a boiling point last week when William Foege, a giant in public health who led the CDC under Democratic and Republican presidents, called for its current director, Dr. Robert Redfield, to “stand up to a bully”—he meant Trump—even at the risk of being fired. “Silence becomes complicity,”

In mid-2016, the FBI got word that Russian intelligence believed Hillary Clinton’s campaign was planning to frame Donald Trump as colluding with Russia’s Vladimir Putin to hack her computers. Yet somehow, the crack agents never connected the dots when handed the Steele “dossier” commissioned and paid for by the Clinton campaign that claimed Trump was colluding with Putin.
Instead, the Justice Department used that dossier as a pretext to spy on at least Trump aide Carter Page as it investigated the clearly spurious charges. Justice also distorted the facts about Page’s past relations with the CIA

Joe Biden on Saturday evening told reporters he was going to accept the outcome of the 2020 election “without any questions.” Earlier on Saturday Biden told supporters at a stop in Erie, Pennsylvania, “The only way we lose this is by the chicanery going on with regard to polling places.” Biden later clarified his comments when approached by reporters.“I understand one of the comments I made was taken a little out of context. I’m going to accept the outcome of this election period,” Biden said referring to his “chicanery” line.

Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) said Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press” that Republicans have bragged about “packing the court” under President Donald Trump. When asked if he will expand the number of justices on the Supreme Court if Judge Amy Coney Barrett is confirmed in a clip, Democratic nominee former Vice President Joe Biden said, “You will know my opinion of court-packing when the election is over. Look, the moment I answer that question, the headline in every one of your papers will be about that. Other than focusing on what’s happening now.”Anchor Chuck Todd said, “Senator Durbin, did the fact that Vice President Biden used the phrase court-packing,

CNN’s “State of the Union” host Jake Tapper tried repeatedly and unsuccessfully on Sunday to get the Biden campaign to answer whether or not the former vice president plans on “packing” the Supreme Court with far-left radicals.
In addition, Tapper flatly dismissed campaign spokeswoman Kate Bedingfield’s claims about efforts by President Donald Trump and the Republican-controlled Senate to nominate and seat Judge Amy Coney Barrett ahead of the Nov. 3 election as being unconstitutional.
To begin the segment, Tapper played a clip of Democratic nominee Joe Biden refusing to answer the yes-or-no question during an exchange with reporters at the airport in Wilmington, Del.,

When you are at sea and you receive an SOS in your vicinity, you stop what you are doing and respond. Reason is if you are in need of help ??? Simple. No seafarer would EVER not do anything in their power to rescue a vessel in distress. Immigrants or otherwise. The article is true. The resources on board are limited but I will guarantee that the crew will share. These people were lucky. You can get in trouble out there with nobody within 500 miles of you.
