De Blasio’s ‘Contact Tracing Team’
Isn’t Allowed To Ask COVID-19 Patients
If They Attended A Protest

Democratic New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio’s “contact tracing team” won’t be allowed to ask COVID-19 patients if they attended a George Floyd protest recently, The City reported. The “contact tracing team” is tasked with finding an infected patient’s recent contacts and informing them about their exposure to the virus so they can self-isolate. However, the team is not allowed to ask people if they attended one of the many recent demonstrations where thousands of people gathered closely together to protest the death of George Floyd, The City reported.

Comments:

What do you want to bet they try to trace those who attend a Trump rally and use the information to intimidate and harass them at work, school, in their neighborhood?

This is big brother watching you. none of their business where I have been. You think this tracing is going to stop when there is no more virus. How come over 500 hundred people could attend the planting of st.George, but other funerals are allowed to have only 10 people attend. What...no virus in the area of the planting of george. seems a little like the virus is a scam Are the attendees of the funeral going to be traced?

Which means, of course, that the whole exercise in "contact tracing" is totally worthless because of this Leftist craziness.

I must admit reading about this type of arbitrary and capricious police actions (wait until CHAZnians learn that all regulation flows from the “police power”) on the part of petty bureaucrats and anarchist actions by the CHAZnians is depressing me or nauseating me or exhausting me. It’s getting hard to live on this diet of BS. I’d like to think that “the country” will throw the dims out- off the planet- in November. The dims i know i am pretty sure will vote dim though. I don’t think they associate the CHAZnians with the dim party. Their filter prevents them from seeing the dim party’s inputs into the anarchy and of course they think the virus requires great exercise of the police power to get it stopped. (But I see them at lunch without a mask). I am sure part of the plan is to get us to tune out (does the lamestream really want that?). But it’s tiring to read about the antics of clowns who have way too much power for clowns.

De Blasio has only generated bad statistics throughout New York City and has ignored most of them. So it is not surprising that he would not want to count the “peaceful” protestors who formed dense and completely undisciplined crowds that may well have contributed to the spread of COVID-19. You can bet that De Blasio will have a different take following the upcoming Trump rallies.

This Contact Tracing is going to keep people, like me, from ever being tested. And if they find someone to test who claims they were around me, I will deny ever knowing them. If they do prove I knew them, I am not interested in self quarantining, so they will need a guard, 24/7 to keep me in my house. This is all crazy and feels more and more like we live in Russia! Enough! Go away and don't come back. If people get the FLU, so be it! And throw away your stupid Masks. Looks like everyone lives in China when they're walking around in a Mask (or when they go to the Pool)! Jeesh!

It's time to stop all cooperation with these petty little nuisance bureaucrats, especially if the attempt is made to impose a second lockdown. Their reign is over. That goes for you as well, governor wolf. I still see an alarming number of New York and New Jersey tags passing through my state. Stay home and keep your inept mayors and governors happy and keep your virus to yourselves.

For decades, the Navy's leading supplier of high-strength steel for submarines provided subpar metal because one of the company's longtime employees falsified lab results — putting sailors at greater risk in the event of collisions or other impacts, federal prosecutors said in court filings Monday. The supplier, Kansas City-based Bradken Inc., paid $10.9 million as part of a deferred prosecution agreement, the Justice Department said.     Corrections*

As I have watched Confederate monuments being removed by state and local governments, and sometimes by the forceful will of the American people, the fact that 10 U.S. Army installations are named for Confederate officers has weighed on me. That number includes the Army’s largest base, one very special to many in uniform: Fort Bragg, in North Carolina.

Sometimes big political developments arrive in the country like Sandburg’s fog, on little cat feet, silent and unnoticed until they envelop the nation. The emergence of Donald Trump four years ago is an example. Though a loud and clamorous candidate, he seemed to many like a kind of political clown destined for defeat. Establishment politicians believed almost to a person that the “blue wall” of Democratic electoral dominance would hold against this guy. The Midwest would stay solid, and Hillary Clinton would win the presidency.

lasdair MacIntyre, from After Virtue: But protest is now almost entirely that negative phenomenon which characteristically occurs as a reaction to the alleged invasion of someone’s rights in the name of someone else’s utility. The self-assertive shrillness of protest arises because the facts of incommensurability ensure that protesters can never win an argument; the indignant selfrighteousness of protest arises because the facts of incommensurability ensure equally that the protesters can never lose an argument either.

Sen. Tim Kaine claimed that the United States created the institution of slavery. During Tuesday remarks on the Senate floor, the Virginia Democrat addressed the issue of accountability in police departments but later claimed that the U.S. created the institution of slavery. "The first African Americans sent into the English colonies came to Point Comfort, Virginia, in 1619. They were slaves. They had been captured against their will. But they landed in colonies that didn't have slavery. There were no laws about slavery in the colonies at that time. The United States didn't inherit slavery from anybody. We created it," Kaine said.

There an evergreen adage in the world of business, politics and entertainment: “Timing is Everything.” (snip) The key to triggering this transformation was to be a spark in the form of another white police killing of an unarmed black man and the unleashing of the dogs of violence and intimidation throughout the country, culminating in the subsequent acquiescing by the ruling class to virtually all demands of the radical left in order to ensure peace. But the tragedy that befell George Floyd came too soon, as the timing and circumstances were not yet in place for this master plan to succeed.

We are making an important change today in our writing style. When referring to a culture, ethnicity or group of people from the African diaspora we will use “Black,” with an uppercase B. We are making this change to NJ Advance Media’s style guide to acknowledge and respect the word represents a people with shared cultures and experiences, and not a color. Black, we believe, should be used like other identifiers, such as “Asian,” “Latino” or “African American.” We also will continue to use “African American” in stories when warranted, as “African American” and “Black” aren’t always interchangeable.
