During some of the most threatening times in our nation’s history — when circumstances have required a leader whose skills and experiences match the challenges confronting us — Americans have always had a knack for finding just the right person at the exactly the right time. In considering his running mate for the upcoming presidential election, former vice president Joe Biden may be contemplating such a scenario. As a bitterly divided America confronts the social unrest spurred by George Floyd’s murder and the seemingly endless loop of sickening cell phone videos showing similar acts of violence, there is one candidate

I'm a Republican and will vote for Trump. However I think choosing Demings would be inspired on Biden's part. Here's how I see it. She checks all the boxes: a female (check), an African American (check), a person with a long career in law enforcement (check), a person with Congressional experience who knows how Washington works (check). When you compare her to Pocahontas, or the nutty governor of Michigan, or the sore looser in Georgia or the mouthy, acerbic Harris she is hands down better than any of the others.

The author failed to put "alleged" in front of murder. In a year or so the policeman who had his knee on Gentle George will have a trial. And he may just be acquitted. The coroner will testify that the cause of death was not strangulation but massive illegal drug usage. The author and his dim colleagues want to eliminate the entire Bill of Rights. My Pal Val doesn't work for me. And she would be POTUS when Quid Pro Joe is lead off to the Old Grabbers Home.

Consider the source, one liberal Democrat recommending another liberal Democrat. Just because a rogue local cop created a pretext for urban Black rioters to cause a tremendous amount of damage in the leftist and liberal Democrat run inner cities, certainly does not mean that the USA effectively must elect an unknown Black person with no national or international business or political accomplishments as the President of the USA for the purpose of validating Democrat racial identity based politics. No doubt that person would end up as President because Joseph Biden is past being a competent President, and after a period of time after being elected Biden would be forced to resign and head for a rest home. It’s the political agenda that a person advocates that is important, and not the color of the person’s skin. That’s what we have been told since the MLK era.

Writing at the Washington Post, author Alyssa Rosenberg has a unique solution for the problems with our policing: Cancel all the cop shows on television. She argues we need to do that because there’s a “reactionary streak” behind the “surface liberalism” in these shows. For a century, Hollywood has been collaborating with police departments, telling stories that whitewash police shootings and valorizing an action-hero style of policing over the harder, less dramatic work of building relationships with the communities cops are meant to serve and protect. There’s a reason for that beyond a reactionary streak hiding below the industry’s surface
