Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) on Thursday praised former Defense Secretary James Mattis, who, on Wednesday, offered a blistering critique of President Trump as a divisive leader. "Gen. Mattis’s letter was stunning and powerful. Gen. Mattis is a man of extraordinary sacrifice. He's an American patriot. He's an individual whose judgment I respect, and I think the world of him," Romney told reporters. "If I ever had to choose somebody to be in a foxhole with, it would be with a Gen. Mattis. What a wonderful, wonderful man," Romney added. Corrections*

It's absolutely stunning that a man who has wielded the power of our military, supposedly to protect our freedom, can be so stupid!! Even if what you said was true, Mattis, doing what you did in a crisis situation, condemns you. You should have supported America and worked to 'correct' things, quietly. Instead, like any other political attention-hog, you seek out the media and shout your opinion all over the place, weakening the bonds of Law.
You are worthless trash.

Gee - - just think - - I was once banned from this forum for pointing out that it had been invaded by paid Romneybots.
Ah, yes - - those were the good old days - - when many L-Dotters - - including this forum's administrator - - still idolized the Bushes and the Romneys. I guess I was a few years ahead of my time. Thankfully - - we don't see much of that anymore.

This plastic headed manequin wouldn't know "stunning and powerful" if it bit him on the butt. It's sad when a political career ends before it even begins, sad for the rest of us who are forced to hear the rantings of the clueless.

What foxhole would that be? There is no recorded instance of any Romney ever serving in the military. Three generations of Romney's family managed to avoid military service completely during active military conflicts.
In 2007 Romney said "I longed in many respects to actually be in Vietnam and be representing our country there, and in some ways it was frustrating not to feel like I was there as part of the troops that were fighting in Vietnam."
Weasel wordings like "in many respects" and "in some ways" are two reliable indicators Romney is lying.
The other is his lips are moving.

Mattis was wrong to make a statement like he did during thIs time of national crisis. It was irresponsible and dangerous as is the one made by Kelly. The lack of respect for the office of the Presidency, let alone the Commander In Chief reveals a genuine lack of character on their part. I was appalled by the terrible lack of basic decency. The President has had more thrust on his plate than any President I can recall in my lifetime. It has been more than most men could take and continue to function even these generals. They disgust me. However, when that sanctimonious foppish, cardboard cutout of a man, Pierre Delecto, piles on with such vigor I am convinced this is just another strategy by the democrats to damage this President. If these fools believe that they in their wildest dreams can be part of a plot to unseat this President they are sorely mistaken. They would see a revolt that would shake the foundation of the world. God help us to rise above this madness and make November 3rd the shot that is heard ‘round the world. Americans have had enough!

Romeny and Mattis have one thing in common.
They are both butt-hurt losers.
It seems a shame in Mattis's case because he did have a good record.
Romney not so much.

Pierre Delecto would think a bubble bath is stunning and powerful. What a moron. It is more and more obvious he has to wait until he thinks it is safe to wade in. He never ever seems to be able to make a statement right off the bat, always having to do his wet finger in the wind test first.

Like a clockwork, someone criticizes Trump, no matter how sad their criticism, you can count on the little Mittens to jump in and say "Yeah, me too, buddy!" every time.
What a nasty, sad little jerk. I cringe every time that I think I actually voted for this loser, once. I would never make that error again, regardless of the situation.

June 2024 cannot come soon enough for Utah Republican voters to bounce this whiny diva turncoat carpetbagger closeted Democrat from office.
Once a bastion for conservatism, Utah is quickly turning into Colorado/New Mexico, politically. Must be all those CA liberal tech eggheads moving into the state.

Utah: Romney is giving Mormons a bad name. His vulture capitalism at Bain offshored millions of American jobs. Unbelievable that I once contributed to this choker´s campaign.
Pentagon: General Mattis, insurrection against the civilian power is what built Argentina. Same for Kelly, Milley and Esper: you missed an opportunity of keeping your mouth shut.
Today will be very dangerous at the White House with the mobs the Pentagon is facilitating. They love the endless wars too much, but we are done with them. We stand with President Trump and America.
