Romney: Mattis statement
'stunning and powerful'

Original Article

Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) on Thursday praised former Defense Secretary James Mattis, who, on Wednesday, offered a blistering critique of President Trump as a divisive leader. "Gen. Mattis’s letter was stunning and powerful. Gen. Mattis is a man of extraordinary sacrifice. He's an American patriot. He's an individual whose judgment I respect, and I think the world of him," Romney told reporters. "If I ever had to choose somebody to be in a foxhole with, it would be with a Gen. Mattis. What a wonderful, wonderful man," Romney added. Corrections*

It's absolutely stunning that a man who has wielded the power of our military, supposedly to protect our freedom, can be so stupid!! Even if what you said was true, Mattis, doing what you did in a crisis situation, condemns you. You should have supported America and worked to 'correct' things, quietly. Instead, like any other political attention-hog, you seek out the media and shout your opinion all over the place, weakening the bonds of Law. You are worthless trash.

Ah, yes - - those were the good old days - - when many L-Dotters - - including this forum's administrator - - still idolized the Bushes and the Romneys. I guess I was a few years ahead of my time. Thankfully - - we don't see much of that anymore.

What foxhole would that be? There is no recorded instance of any Romney ever serving in the military. Three generations of Romney's family managed to avoid military service completely during active military conflicts. In 2007 Romney said "I longed in many respects to actually be in Vietnam and be representing our country there, and in some ways it was frustrating not to feel like I was there as part of the troops that were fighting in Vietnam." Weasel wordings like "in many respects" and "in some ways" are two reliable indicators Romney is lying. The other is his lips are moving.

Mattis was wrong to make a statement like he did during thIs time of national crisis. It was irresponsible and dangerous as is the one made by Kelly. The lack of respect for the office of the Presidency, let alone the Commander In Chief reveals a genuine lack of character on their part. I was appalled by the terrible lack of basic decency. The President has had more thrust on his plate than any President I can recall in my lifetime. It has been more than most men could take and continue to function even these generals. They disgust me. However, when that sanctimonious foppish, cardboard cutout of a man, Pierre Delecto, piles on with such vigor I am convinced this is just another strategy by the democrats to damage this President. If these fools believe that they in their wildest dreams can be part of a plot to unseat this President they are sorely mistaken. They would see a revolt that would shake the foundation of the world. God help us to rise above this madness and make November 3rd the shot that is heard ‘round the world. Americans have had enough!

President Biden on Monday seemed to forget Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin’s name at a White House event—calling the Pentagon chief “the guy who runs that outfit over there.” Biden was announcing the nomination of two female generals to lead US military combatant commands. “And I want to thank the sec—the, the, ah former general. I keep calling him general, but my, my—the guy who runs that outfit over there,” Biden said.(Snip) Earlier at the event, Biden mentioned the Defense Department leader by his name, “Secretary Austin,” while appearing to read from a teleprompter.

I’m probably second to none in my dislike for Meghan Markle. There’s something unattractive about a mature woman marrying into the British Royal family with one of the world’s most expensive weddings, hanging out with the Queen, living in insane luxury…and then whining non-stop about the horror of her life. There’s something even less appealing when that woman accuses the Royal family of race hatred. And the problem is that, when it comes to that left-wing diva, Meghan Markle, it’s hard to believe most of what she says. After weeks of hype, CBS finally televised Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah.

Rep. Steve Cohen vowed to renew the push to remove former FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover’s name from the bureau’s downtown Washington headquarters, according to an interview released Monday. Appearing on Yahoo! News’ Skullduggery podcast, the Tennessee Democrat said the effort is getting a fresh look after the release of a new movie highlighting the FBI’s secret program to discredit civil rights activists. The Washington Times in 2019 first reported Democrats’ bid to strip the longtime FBI director’s name from the bureau’s headquarters. Mr. Cohen said the impetus to revive the bid is the new movie, “Judas and the Black Messiah.” The movie details

“There must have been a moment, at the beginning, when we could have said –-no. But somehow we missed it.” Tom Stoppard The millions of Americans who were paying attention throughout the 2020 election campaign all became painfully aware of the fact that Joe Biden’s cognitive abilities were slipping and slipping fast. His wife, as the person closest to him, should have been the one to call the campaign quits in order to reduce stress on the man. Instead, apparently so anxious to become the First Lady by any means necessary, Mrs. Biden continued to push her failing husband’s campaign forward as if he were mentally qualified.
