ABC News has obtained surveillance video from a south Minneapolis restaurant that shows the moments leading up to George Floyd's arrest and eventual death at the hands of Minneapolis police officers.
The video was taken from outside Dragon Wok at 38th Street and Chicago Avenue — just across the street from where a police officer knelt on Floyd's neck for several minutes, rendering him unresponsive. (snip) Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board said a Park Police squad car can been seen in the above video because..

I don't want to watch George Floyd die; this ostensibly shows moments leading up to that, though; and I would like to watch that part for myself.
KSTP seems to be sending us this message: Don't worry, we've seen it. We won't let you see it; but we'll tell you what's in it.

What was he accused of doing? I'm not asking because I'm suspicious of him. I'm asking because a part of me greatly fears it had something to do with this ridiculous quarantine.

Two videos, lots of police presence, no masks. Oh well.

#2, I think he was trying to pay for something with a forged $20 bill.

Thanks, #4. I found something similar in a story.

George isn't confrontational or uncooperative in any way leading up to the officer putting him on the ground. This sure looks like a murder to me.

They need to go ahead and arrest these cops ASAP and charge them with murder and then let the wheels of justice start turning. They should've been arrested immediately upon the release of the video. Dragging it out is only fanning the flames.

#7: That would be semi-literate or semiliterate. Don't throw stones.

Police HAVE to have the highest standards to do the job effectively. Too often political hacks and political pandering enable the wrong people to be on the street. The Asian cop who was more concerned about the passive crowd than his partner slowly choking a prisoner to death, is almost as responsible as the goon killer. If the two of them were so afraid of a cooperating suspect that they thought crushing his neck was necessary, they should never, ever been allowed to wear a badge.
I support police who understand their job and their responsibilities. Done right it is a noble thing and I respect that professionalism. Police who think they are judge, jury and unquestioned enforcers for whatever criteria they dream up, those type of people are not just dangerous, but they really make it hard for the professional police to do their job. The two cops on the scene who killed this suspect are despicable and deserve any justice that comes to them and they defiled the badge with their unprofessional behavior.

Oh, to hell with it. I disabled my adblocker to see if the video that the article and headline refer to happened to be disguised as an ad instead of content (to show it only to people who allow ads). The page kept exchanging data with advertising and tracking sites for several minutes before I finally stopped it and reenabled my blockers. (The data read and write did not finish, the page load did not complete, and no additional content displayed... further confirming my policy of blocking that bullcrap.)

Here are my questions.
1. why would the police respond so quickly to a call about a counterfeit 20 dollar bill?
2. Was there a command directive about counterfeit bills? (In the case of Eric Gardner of NYC, the Mayor, Wilhelm Warren, had directed the police to arrest loose cigarette street sellers, because o0f a loss of tax revenue.)
3. Did the dead man, and or his two friends in the car, have more counterfeit bills? In other words, was the operation run by going from store to store, cashing in bogus 20 dollar bills? (Lots of stores will no longer accept 50 dollar bills and 100 dollar bills, because of counterfeit operations.)
4. Why did the dead man and his companions sit in front of the store, rather than drive away? Did the dead man claim the store gave him a counterfeit 20 dollar bill?
5. why black out the park police officer's video?
6. Is it true that the dead man and the charged officer worked at the same club?
There is often a sub-text to these incidents. If we had real journalists, they would be asking the appropriate questions. But many of them will not. Incompetence? Indolence? Indifference? Those three descriptors have replaced the who, what where, when and why of journalism.

I'm with #11, the video is annoying, riddled with delays and meaningless and does not change the story. George Floyd was clearly murdered.
