A shift to mail voting is increasing the chances that Americans will not know the winner of November’s presidential race on election night, a scenario that is fueling worries about whether President Donald Trump will use the delay to sow doubts about the results. State election officials in some key battleground states have recently warned that it may take days to count what they expect will be a surge of ballots sent by mail out of concern for safety amid the pandemic. In an election as close as 2016's, a delayed tally in key states could keep news organizations from calling a winner.

More AP garbage. We should worry about the Dem manipulators, not about Trump.

Article focuses on Republicans as the problem. No mention of ballot applications being broadcast to state populations at large, vote harvesting, the hiring of "vote harvesters", ballots collected after election day, etc. etc. Also, doesn't address the "coincidence" that Democrats are seldom defeated in contested races.

Remember the leftist and liberal Democrats always blame the wimpy Republicans, and especially Donald Trump what themselves do and the fraud that they facilitate. Hillary Clinton did the same thing before and after the 2016 election. The difference between the wimpy Republicans and Trump is that Trump fights back.

I imagine Democrats will make much quicker work of it than that!

Better not.
If they aren't delivered by election day, with a postmark several days earlier, then don't count them.
Period.
And if more than two people complain that their ballot didn't show up even though they mailed it a week ahead of time, and they're not democraps, then investigate the PO, and hang any employee that tossed non-democrap ballots. Same treatment for election officials if the PO can show they delivered them.

If Dems can collect discarded ballots, so can I. I will not falsely vote them but I will sure as hell burn them.

Our elections have worked fine ever since the invention of the voting machine. Why do we want to go back to paper ballots? It is regress, not progress. I know the real answer is that the Democrats want to harvest paper ballots and cheat. But leaving that aside, why would we not want to use the most efficient (and accurate) way of counting votes, which are the automated systems we use now?

Mail in voting is an invitation to fraud. Organized, massive fraud.

Probably will be extended longer than a week as there will be plenty of illegal votes that will be cause for questioning and decisions by the Supreme Court. We could be without a President while the improprieties are settled.

If mail-in becomes the main mechanism of voting, then no results should be made public until every vote is counted. No additional 'found' ballots should be accepted. This will not stop the Dems from stuffing the ballot, but it will remove their target so they will not know how many they need to find.

It's gonna take a while to see how many ballots they need to "find".

Might it be possible, by federal law, to mandate only three types of personal identification to be posted to Absentee Ballots and, based on a computer program, have computers verify those personal identification numbers to determine whether or not they are valid numbers, and whether or not they have been “voted” more than once in that specific election. Those restricted three numbers would be an individual’s Real ID Driver’s License number, or an individual’s Passport Number, or for individuals who do not possess the previous two legal documents, a federally mandated Voter’s Identification Number, if the federal government would pass such legislation?

We already have 'early voting' stations. No reason to do this via mail unless you are out of town. Or need to cheat to win.

Here in Kalifornia, we have election month. Nothing is certified until 30 days later.

If the left can organize protests overnight that take place all across the country, why can't we all organize a PEACEFUL protest across the entire country against mass mail-in voting and ballot harvesting. Why can't we demand that state voting rolls be updated and verified and that all voters' identifications confirmed before anyone is allowed to vote?. Why??? We should all take to the streets in peaceful assembly and demand fair and HONEST elections!! Come on!! Why can't we?? We have every right to do it. This is much more important and urgent than what the left does. Doesn't anyone out there know of a person of influence who can motivate folks to save our democratic republic?? Someone who has a national voice and a forum to get the message out and pull people together?? Are we just going to sit on the sidelines and let the power-mongering criminals steal the country by fraud?
It is up to us...do we let them cheat and finally destroy our country or do we get off our lazy, complacent rear-ends and actually DO something for once before it's just too late??
Whatever happened to the TEA party mentality??

Why, #16? For the most part, we're still working 5 days a week and plumb tuckered out.

And in the end, protests are just something to show on the news. It is action that we need.

Ohio’s Frank LaRose, Republican Secretary of State, said at a recent forum on voting that “Election night reporting may take a little longer this year,” as opposed to the customary middle of the evening of election night. Among other factors is the Democrat effort to require states to accept mail ballots postmarked on Election Day and “have filed more than a dozen lawsuits demanding that standard and note that the U.S. Supreme Court required it for Wisconsin’s April 7 election.”
