I’m a firm subscriber to the “Great Man” theory of history, which posits that the course of history largely (but not entirely) has been determined, for better or worse, by the decisive impact of individuals of unique vision and indomitable will. What would the world look like had Alexander the Great, for example, never been born? Or Jesus Christ? Or George Washington? Or Adolph Hitler, for that matter? Fortunately for the world, Hitler’s impact was checked by the timely emergence of another towering figure who validates the Great Man theory: Winston Churchill. Now conservative author and speaker Nick Adams has written a book linking Churchill to President Donald Trump

I have read Churchill's exhaustive (and sometimes exhausting!) series of six volumes on the history of WW2. Even if you think you undestand WW2...you don't really until you read this "book", actually six volumes - one "work".
I can see the comparison, and I think it is pretty apt. It is so hard to judge historic figures while they are still on the stage, but I think that Trump is a major, major player in rejuvenating America, and pushing back the globalists.

More importantly is what would the country look like if Schumer Schiff and Pelosi had never been born?

#3, those three make a case for retroactive abortion. This is one time I sorta wish it could be applied.

Trump helped rid us of the Bush, Clinton and Obama eras. Everything else is gravy.

Within most scholarly works of leadership, the Great Man theory is most often rejected or contextually modified to "situational." For example, Grant was widely considered a great general during the Civil War but was a failed businessman and a not-so-great president. According to John Gardner, a noted leadership scholar, Churchill delivered one of the great performances of the 20th century for his WWII leadership but when the war was over, his talents and demeanor lost their appeal among the voters. When a friend told Churchill it was a blessing in disguise, he replied, "If it is, the disguise is perfect." Forces of history determined his rise and fall but in his time on the world stage he left a uniquely Churchillian mark on the course of events.
President Trump may very well end up as much of a successful surprise as was Harry Truman. When Truman took over after the death of FDR, the New York Times commented that he was "without experience, without knowledge, without prestige." Sound familiar? In 1952, Churchill commented to Truman, "I must confess, sir, I held you in very low regard. I misjudged you badly. You more than any other man have saved Western Civilization." I believe that President Trump's handling of the deep state actors within his own administration will determine his place in history.

Interesting. I'm reading "The Splendid and the Vile" by Erik Larson which tells the story of Churchill's first year as PM, 1940-1941, which included Hitler's bombing of London. I couldn't help thinking about the similarities between Trump and Churchill. The right man at the right time. Divine Intervention, who knows?

It's called "Fate". There are untold numbers of men who could have been great leaders if they'd been born at different times. Had Napoleon or Caesar or FDR been born at different times in history, we may never had heard of them.

Thanks for posting...Great article!
FTA: ~~"Adams concludes the very readable Trump and Churchill by reaffirming his prediction that “President Donald Trump is going to be a greater defender of Western civilization than Prime Minister Winston Churchill.” That will be left to the judgment of history, of course, but considering the existential threats the Western world is facing"~~

#7,#8- “Divine Intervention?” – “Fate?” --- Scripture is the inerrant Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:20-21). Scripture interprets Scripture.
Scripture reveals that God selects heads of nations: (Haggai 2:20-23; 1 Chronicles 14:2; Daniel 2:21, 4:17; Romans 13:1-2; Revelation 1:4-5).
Scripture reveals that God knows us before we are born: Formed in Womb (Psalm 127:3, Psalm 139:13, Isaiah 49:5, Jeremiah 1:5, Job 31:15) – Named Before Born (Ishmael, Genesis16:11; Isaac, Genesis17:19; Solomon, 1Chronicles22:9; Josiah, 1Kings,13:2; Cyrus, Isaiah44:28; John(Baptist), Luke1:13; JESUS, Matthew1:21).

Author Nick Adams is to be commended for his insight and courage in writing a book that will be criticized by leftists/historians much like Mike Huckabee was criticized for the same comparison in 2017 after having watched “Darkest Hour,” a film about Winston Churchill. Individuals immersed in hatred of President Trump cannot or refuse “to see the forest for the trees.” Mr. Adams is a “legal immigrant” from Australia who “describes himself as an American trapped in an Australian body" because of his appreciation for America and founded “a non-profit organization (FLAG) dedicated to educating Americans about the values and principles that make our nation exceptional.”
