Attorney General William Barr told "The Ingraham Angle" Wednesday that he was disappointed over the partisan attacks leveled against President Trump during the coronavirus pandemic and blasted reporters for waging a "jihad" to discredit the effectiveness of the malaria drug hydroxychloroquine. "It's very disappointing because I think the president went out at the beginning of [the coronavirus pandemic] and really was statesmanlike, trying to bring people together, working with all the governors," Barr said. "Keeping his patience as he as he got these snarky, gotcha questions from the White House media pool and the stridency of the partisan attacks on him has gotten higher and higher."

The sole purpose of the mainstream media is to destroy President Trump regardless of damage done to country or families. They cannot permit President Trump to be correct in recommending hydroxychloroquine as an effective treatment to combat the coronavirus. To destroy the country’s economy after its historic upward trend is icing on the cake in their effort to destroy President Trump. To weaken the health care system is sprinkles on the liberalism cake, a means of reinforcing Obamacare, socialized medicine. The agenda of the leftists is to destroy and remove President Trump at any cost.

I've been drawn like a moth to a flame lately listening to Michael Savage attack chloroquine, at least for the few minutes I can stand him. I'm no expert but Savage has exposed some clear ignorance on the subject. His vitriole has been infuriating, his reasoning far from convincing. He's utterly crazed.

Why would Barr make a statement about this? Is he trying to save his job by kissing up to Trump? Maybe he sees that he is on the verge of being dismissed for his failure to indict the leaders of the coup attempt.!!!

Barr is full of opining and expressions of concern, but not much for doing. He was pushed forward for exactly that. To do nothing and let the public give up on the corruption in DC, so that it can continue on. And Barr is doing a great job at it. By the way, Mr. Barr, I am concerned about you too, but still cannot match your looks of solemnity when expressing it.

RUSH: Okay. So, in the brief break, the brief segment we have, let me review here. “Coronavirus is not a major threat for the people in the United States and this is not something the citizens should be worried about,” Dr. Fauci, January 21st. He later said, “The American people…” Five days later, January 26: “The American people should not be worried or frightened by coronavirus. This is a very, very low risk to the United States. “It isn’t something the American public needs to be worried about or be frightened about.” Five days later, after Fauci says no big deal, Trump issued a travel ban on China.

Anthony Fauci, America’s most-listened-to medical professional on the coronavirus, and apparently on all the political, economic, cultural and social precautions every man, woman and child in the nation should take on the coronavirus, has just warned what cooler-head coronavirus watchers have suspected all along: that this country may never, no never, go back to normal. Never, that is, Fauci suggested, until a vaccine is developed. And by logical extension, that’s to say--never, until a vaccine is developed that must then be included on the required list of shots for all children to attend school.

One word keeps recurring in online discussions of Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s latest orders to fight the state’s raging COVID-19 outbreak: “Insanity.” Last week, the first-term Democrat issued an order extending the state’s stay-at-home policy, which had been set to expire April 15, until May 1. Michigan has the third-highest number of coronavirus cases of any state in America, and certainly strong measures are required to get the pandemic under control.
