The White House response coordinator for the coronavirus task force said Thursday that extreme predictions about the pandemic don't line up with the incoming data, while also pushing back against unfounded rumors that could alarm the public. Dr. Deborah Birx said 19 of all 50 states with confirmed cases have low levels of the outbreak.(Snip)Birx also pushed back against rumors of changes to do-not-resuscitate policies, saying such falsehoods could scare the public. Hospitals across the United States are reportedly discussing the possibility of a blanket do-not-resuscitate policy for infected patients to prevent the virus from spreading.

Birx basically called out the "do not resuscitate" BS stories as Fake News, in her polite way.
The models are way off. I wonder if some is from Chinese lies taken as "input data"?

Similar to the "global warming" sham. Prediction models are somehow more "scientific" than actual data, and if you don't believe the predictions you don't believe in science.

Surprise, surprise, surprise. The results from the Diamond Princess that was docked in Tokyo for weeks, with loads of oldsters on-board, should have given the doom-and-gloomers a clue. It was only a single data point, but ought to have given them some pause before acting the way they did.

She brilliantly articulated the coming plan for governors to rate their states as high, medium, or low risk states, enabling some to return to normalcy. Hard for the MSM to accuse her of threatening to kill WWII, Korean, and Vietnam veterans.

Yes, but more important, what is "Dr." Jill Biden's assessment? Where are the enterprising "journalists" at CNN and MSNBC to ask this critical question?

I have no doubt that given the current situation, there are hospitals actually toying with stuff like this. But until the media finds out and confirms, they are being absolutely irresponsible in talking about this. AGAIN
Right now, I find out supposed jump to the top of the list in actual cases kind of suspicious, given the timing. Would not be surprised if the media is combining two flu viruses to get this sudden rise. And the Brit Twit that Fauci has been basing all his dire reports on has had to sheepishly walk his own predictions back. This bug is just not the planet killer that the Left has been hoping for.
Jill Biden's 'Dr.' is in education, not medicine, but that would not stop the media from asking.

Who're you going to believe, the actual facts from the Diamond Princess passengers and crew, or the "data" from our good friends, the ChiComs?

I didn't hear about that 'do not resuscitate' policy. It can only come from demonrats who are renown for their killing fields.

#12, yes, except that the Enemedia blithely invent their "facts" every single day.
