(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch announced today that Representative Adam Schiff (D-CA) and the U.S. House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence asked the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia to dismiss the lawsuit against them for the controversial impeachment-related subpoenas for phone records, including those of Rudy Giuliani, President Trump’s lawyer. Schiff and the Committee are being represented by the Office of General Counsel for the House of Representatives. The phone records led to the publication of the private phone records of Giuliani, Congressman Devon Nunes, journalist John Solomon, Trump attorney Jay Sekulow, attorney Victoria Toensing, and other American citizens.

They must find a Clinton or Obama Judge to hear the case to be successful at the Federal District Court level, beyond that it will be a crapshoot, until the matter lands in the US Supreme Court where chances are they will lose.

To put it bluntly, his "privilege" is Bull Schiff! They are all trying to run out the clock, and hope they maintain the House, and possibly the Senate too, then watch the investigations ramp up without any possible obstacles to stop them from the "coup" and cover up.

And the horror house voice of Tom Lantos referring to Admiral Boorda as he addressed Craig Livingstone echoes in the mind's ear. "With an infinitely more distinguished public record than yours, Admiral Boorda committed suicide when he may have committed a minor mistake...." Life can get tough, Adam. Sometimes it can be too much to take, especially if one has lied himself into the mother of all legal Gordian knots and his eyes start to pop out of his head. Take a bold step forward, you miserable so-and-so. Hell ain't half full.

the concept of sovereign immunity, I believe, flows from agreements between between the Pope and European Kings, including the concept of 'divine right' of kings to rule, essentially appointed by God, and affirmed by the Pope. The King can do no wrong, thus he cannot be sued or questioned.. It is a bit of a stretch to see that argument asserted by Schiff Head.

It's bad enough that Congress had shielded it's members from being held liable for damages due to lies and slander made from the floor of Congress. Now they use the positions of power to break or stretch laws that us "common folks" or any business executive would be hauled up in front of Congress to explain after being belittled and berated by the same lying cheating Representatives doing the exact same thing. I hope that Judicial Watch continues to stay on this case and hold Adam Schiff responsible for his clear breach of ethics and possibly the law! I would love to see the courts slap down Schiff's claim of privledge.

After he swept the Arizona, Florida and Illinois primaries on Tuesday night, presumed Democratic nominee Joe Biden delivered a victory speech to a camera. For obvious reasons, there was no audience. Speaking in a quiet, somber tone, he ended his speech saying, “Thank you all. Thank you all for listening.” He stood there, motionless, staring ahead as if in a trance. Was he waiting for applause? Entering from stage right came Jill Biden to break this strange silence. Somewhat startled by her sudden appearance, he smiles, says “Thanks. Thanks.”

Coronavirus Is the 'Chinese Virus' 8 replies

This week, President Donald Trump came under fire for his use of the phrase "Chinese virus" to describe the coronavirus, the source of the new pandemic that has led to a global economic shutdown as well as lockdowns of citizens in every major Western country. That media have somehow found time to hone in on the one issue that matters least -- the labeling of a Chinese virus as such -- in the middle of an unprecedented planetwide freeze demonstrates the utter unseriousness of those objecting. That the term should be controversial at all is nearly beyond belief. The virus did indeed originate in China.

A few weeks ago, Hindu friends and colleagues in India turned to me in desperation about the way in which the Western media has been covering the latest chapter in the forever ongoing Hindu-Muslim wars. Every single article in the mass media has blamed Hindus only and has presented the Muslims as the most innocent and non-violent of beings. Missing entirely is the history of eight hundred years of Muslim persecution of Hindus in India; what happened in 1948 that led to partitioning India into a Hindu state and into two Muslim states: Pakistan and thereafter, Bangladesh, both states where Hindus and Christians are persecuted.

It's an indisputable fact that the Democratic Party has moved left in recent years. Now, the party is about to choose a standard-bearer, in the person of former Vice President Joe Biden, and what has become clear is that Biden has not only shifted left with his party over the years, he has taken significant leftward steps in recent weeks. Three examples. First, for years, Biden has defended the Obama administration's record on deportations against those on the left who criticized President Barack Obama as the "deporter in chief." Then came last month's Nevada caucuses.

Voters in three states will head to the polls on Tuesday amid a coronavirus health crisis that has led other states to postpone their elections. The primaries in Arizona, Florida and Illinois will continue as planned, as state officials say they’ve taken the necessary precautions to ensure that voters can safely cast ballots. The fate of Ohio's primary was settled late Monday when Gov. Mike DeWine (R) announced his administration would order all polling locations to be closed due to a health emergency, capping a day of mixed messages and confusion.

The “experts” and the “media” are eternally and loudly predicting doom and gloom, so I took Sunday to look at the bright side. Here is a view from ground level. Everybody went shopping last Thursday. Normally our local big chain crowds up on Sunday afternoon in the winter, but Thursday probably set an all-time attendance record. The atmosphere was all business; shoppers on a mission. There wasn’t a particular run on things, just those you would expect; rice, spaghetti noodles, mac and cheese. There was plenty of meat, and lots of beautiful produce. I love roasted red peppers.

The Centers for Disease Control has a $6.6 billion budget and one job which it messes up every time. The last time the CDC had a serious workout was six years ago during the Ebola crisis. Back then CDC guidelines allowed medical personnel infected with Ebola to avoid a quarantine and interact with Americans until they showed undeniable symptoms of the disease. There were no protocols in place for treating the potentially infected resulting in the further spread of the disease inside the United States. At the height of the crisis, confidence in the CDC fell to 37%.
