Mike Bloomberg dramatically quit the presidential race Wednesday morning after a disastrous Super Tuesday and immediately backed Joe Biden.
The billionaire gained just 44 delegates by 10.11am, the time he announced his departure - but ran up a bill of $1 billion.
He immediately and whole-heartedly backed Biden, the night's big winner, hinting that his vast fortune is now at the former vice-president's disposal.

I'd like to think his dropping out is going to stop the obnoxious ad buy but I'm not convinced just yet. I wonder if he's going to throw his money along with his "support" behind Biden.

a little Mikie ad just ran at 11 Am on my tv.
I have to wonder if little mikie hired nigerian scammers to run his campaign...

He has to be somewhat mindful of Campaign Finance law. He can't just give Sleepy Joe money or buy ads for him.

I wonder how it feels to spend $1 billion, have nothing to show for it, and be a national laughing stock.

I believe the Democrats know Biden is now well, but they see him as better option than Bernie, despite them liking most of Bernie's ideas.
Biden's campaign will be an attempt to stop any further investigation into his activities while VP, similar to how the media felt they should not investigate Clinton since she was the Dem nominee, after all.
Biden likely has made the deal that he will step aside after a little while, it then allows him to claim to have achieved the position he's desired for decades, and allow his VP to then take over. Might be why Valerie Jarrett made the comment that they need to make a change by declaring the VP pick during the primary season.
Joe, after all, had no money, and didn't campaign in many of the Super Tuesday states, but somehow won by large margins, which means the Democrat establishment pushed him to this point, and he now owes them.

Yeah, must be nice to blow a billion dollars and simply shrug it off. Buh bye, Bloomers.

Bloomberg is double looney.....spending. A billion $$, supporting someone who doesn’t what day of the week it is, thinks he’s running for the senate, calls his sister his wife??? Is this the best the Dems can do?

Bloomie spent $1 billion on this "campaign" with 99% spent attacking Trump, and the other 1% jacking Bernie. He's done his bit for the DEMe and UNIPARTY. Whether the Coot or the Communist, either way, the Dems are screwed. And then there is that "moderate" third party that will likely emerge...the only question is its focus, whether any more than a RINO/"moderate Republican" magnet to siphon votes from PDT.

Funny. Two of my neighbors, one an obama supporter, both were sporting new bloomberg yard signs two days ago.
That’s gotta be a throw in the towel, mental weariness moment.
Perhaps “The DimoKKKrap” would be a safer, less tiring bet.

What? I thought that the Smartest Man in the World was going to show all those stupid guys how to plant a seed.....oh, no, this was how to buy an election. He can teach ANYONE with enough money how to do it, right?
Pompous, arrogant, obnoxious puke got a lesson. How fun is THAT?
And he likely got a promise of Sec of Treasury, or Sec of State of some such place where he would be similarly incompetent. Maybe even promised to be Veep.
Good riddance of a really nasty person.
They really ARE scared of Breadlines-are-Good Bernie, aren't they?
Fun to watch them imploding.

Micro Mike will be plowing his $ into climate change and anti 2nd Amendment front groups as well as races down the line and PACs for Biden. FEC regulates how much the small one can give. Beware of what happens locally.

Ha, another Klown falls out of the trunk of the Klown Kar...who's left, Biden (a most corrupt politician [read Profiles in Corruption]) and Sanders, an avowed socialist who hasn't held a real job outside politics, EVER...?

One billion dollars and no message. Saying he is the only one that can defeat Trump is not a message. He sounded like the rest of the field. The guy is rich, but he's an incompetent. Most of us, given a billion dollars, would have run a better campaign than he did.
Good riddance.

Sorry, Mike- your leftover $59,000,000 ,000 isn't quite enough to fix Joe Biden's addled brain.

It says a lot about a guy who would spend a Billion dollars, on himself, trying to get the nomination for President (when it was a long shot from the beginning). A real man, a man who cared about this country who had that kind of money to basically burn, would have maybe looked into building housing for all those who are living on the Streets in CA and NY. That money could have build small apartments, or mental health facilities for those who need help in many different ways. Instead, Mike choose to thumb his nose at those people who he probably would never ever go near for fear of catching something, and spent the Billion dollars on HIMSELF! What a Guy!!

As Bugs Bunny would say : "What a Maroon".
If his goal now is to be an 'influencer', He'd be better off throwing his money at buying Senators, Governors and State Attorneys General like Soros does, rather than giving a billion or so to brain damaged Joe... Or at least waiting to see what happens at the convention to see who the party coronates, and THEN spending the money to fight Trump, since that is his primary goal, to get rid of Trump.

I am truly disappointed in the Dem party. This gun grabbing, nanny state totalitarian was the perfect Democrat. Why didn't he get more votes?

In keeping with #18's excellent comment.
Imagine a brand new $200 million mental health care hospital built in each of 50 cities in the USA with the same money? Maybe two in LA, three and SanFran, two in Seattle, and three in NYC, just based on their history of lunacy. Still leaves many more hospitals to spread around the country. This would do a lot of actual good, and probably stop some of those "gun crimes" that Bloomie seems so worried about.
It would have been a lot more beneficial to the country, and the little puke could have plastered his name on the front of each building.

And yes, I know that is $10 billion, but if he can FLUSH one billion, why not spend ten on leaving a real legacy? He STILL wouldn't notice it.

Thank God -- my TV is saved!!!!
Every time one of his commercials came on, my husband had to physically restrain me to keep me from throwing something at the TV!!!!
Please allow me to thank Mini Mike for his very generous contribution to the economy in this failed effort!!! A lot of people are eating good tonight on the money he wasted making all these vile and evil commercials!!!!!

He did the math. At the rate he was going it would take more than 44 billion to buy enough delegates.
