If he is convicted in time he won't be allowed to vote in November. Unless he moves to Virginia.

“We don’t know if this is politically motivated,” Gayle said. “We’ve got detectives coming out. We’re following up on information and trying to determine if we can identify this person right now.”
While police weren’t ready to make that connection, the incident was quickly condemned as a political attack by both Republican and Democratic leaders in Jacksonville, Florida’s two U.S. Senators, and even President Donald Trump.
Doesn't know if it was political or not? That is a stupid and wreckless thing to say! What is wrong with people.....law enforcement needs to stop allowing these low level asswipes getting by with assault....with a deadly weapon -- a vehicle.
Stupid idiots in the upper cop shops...I am getting tired of this. Get rid of the r.o.e. for cops. Time to start enforcing the law and punishing wrong doers.
He attempted to harm people with his van....that is not rocket science!

The cops and detectives are only saying publicly what protocol requires them to say to protect their charges but they know what was going on.

This happened at a Wal-Mart parking lot where it is company policy not to allow the carrying of guns on the premises. Coincidence? I think not. A vehicle used in this manner is an assault with a deadly weapon. Citizens should be allowed to defend themselves from such attacks.

Even Democrat politicians get that this is indefensible. Twitter monkeys didn't get them memo. They see this as fine because he was unsuccessful in hitting people and killing people, but tweets by conservatives are the real violence that must be stopped!
I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. This long national slog through absurdities that would embarrass Lewis Carroll is coming to an end. People have had enough of liberal's bizarro world.

I blame the media for most of these types of things. The constant hate and hysteria. The talking heads and famous people saying kill Trump and do anything to take out the deplorables, they are the radical bigots against all conservatives. They pour out their hateful message 24/7 and these mentally ill people drink it up.

"aggravated assault on a person over 65 years old" Do I finally get to be in a special protected class?? Is assault against me worse than assault against one of you youngsters? Oh, wait, I'm a white male, so I'm probably excluded from the "over 65" clause.

Obviously. this was prompted by Nancy Pelosi ripping up Trump's SOTU speech. Which encouraged this demented leftist do the same to a Republican tent of volunteers. Every Democrat and media outlet must be made to explain and apologize for the HATE they are spouting encouraging this criminal behavior.

Why not attempted murder, or assault with a deadly weapon? This is a BS charge, too low.

#9, that may be company policy, but I assure you, you will find plenty of armed citizens at, in, and around any Wal-Mart in the state of Florida. The rights that God has given to the Sunshine State's citizens, no corporate doofus in Bentonville is going to take away. No doubt the Democrat driver here surprised the peaceful Republican volunteers, but it's more his luck than his smarts in choice of assault location that he did not end up heavily perforated.

Hmm... Using a motor vehicle as a deadly weapon at a political event... Sounds familiar.. Oh yeah, the rally to save monuments to the Civil War. Some malcontent drove into a woman. The Left won't shut up about it, saying it proves Concervatives are bloodthirsty savages. Well now the Left will have to say the same about themselves, won't they. Won't they?

If he had killed a Republican it wouldn't have made the national news.
And they wonder why we voted for Trump. We voted for Trump because (repeat the first sentence...)
