Thanks for nothing, Pence. When you could have prevented the nightmare we are living in right now, you decided to do nothing. You had access to all the evidence and knew those few states had serious election fraud problems. Sending those electors back to be audited would have been the right thing to do. Sure, it would have been a difficult decision because of the rabid mob that would have pounced, but it would have been the right decision. Sometimes a decision is the measure of the character of a man. Clearly, this was one of those times. Doing the right thing in perilous times is very difficult. It takes courage and a steady moral compass. The Republic and all its citizens will suffer because a good man did nothing. Your voice on election integrity rings hollow.

Mike Pence is a weakling, not a fool. He knows that the success of the 2020 "Great Election Robbery" will translate into permanent one party rule if it is not exposed and corrected.
TBH: President Trump, it seems, had no idea what his VP was thinking on Jan 5. He should have marshaled his forces BEGINNING with Pence long before Pence got to the dais. For that inexplicable misstep, I do blame him.
Do you think Oblabber, under same circumstances, would have been wondering what Bitme was going to do?? They would have choreographed every single word out of Bitme's crooked mouth.
Trump never shoulda let Pence flap in the breeze like a kite of its string. I begrudge Pence but am glad he made the statement. Can you imagine what trouble we would be in if Pence had kowtowed to Stephie the Greek and "admitted the 2020 election was won fairly"??

Mike, why didn't you get on your soap box with Trump and Lindell about this nine weeks ago? But, oh sure, now that it it apparently too late, now you speak up. You sold out the country, sir. Why?
Mike, now the dims and msm want to change our election laws and set up a commission to "investigate" the January 6th break-in at the capitol. Not one of them has called for a full comprehensive investigation of the election fraud. How convenient.
Tell you what. Find your soap box and organize a team to pull together every aspect of election fraud that took place here last November. Gather all evidence including the evidence previously compiled by Giuliani and Sydney Powell and the electronic vote-switching that was pulled off by the various sources in China. Identify all of the actors who were behind these acts.
Since the SCOTUS and the lower courts are among the deep state, bring the evidence to us. We'll handle the prosecutions and imprisonments ourselves.

Pence has never been a true leader, his idea of leadership is not rocking the boat, When he needs to make a big decision, he hesitates, tries to pacify the opposition or hides. Leaders need to know the truth about the issues and about those who oppose them. Politics is a game of chess, and you have to plan your moves further than your opposition. Leaders need to know what is right and do what is right, regardless of who gets offended, mad or tries to retaliate. It is not in Pence to do that. In his attempt to straddle the fence, and keep everyone happy, He ends up doing nothing and letting evil have its way. When Trump and America needed him to stand up, he got afraid and sat on his hands. Now he wants to be friends again, with conservatives (because he has no friends now), he is willing to state the truth but still, won't do what the truth demands of him.
He needs to go back home and live out his life in quiet seclusion.

After reading the comments, I almost hesitate to post this--but I say "almost" because I remembered that this is Lucianne and not some liberal platform where you get savaged for not moving in lock-step with everyone else. As much as I disliked Pence's actions on Jan 6, they were in line with his Constitutional authority; and had it not been for the idiots at the capitol riot, I think we would have seen a different outcome. Pence could not act outside of the Constitution--that would make him no better than the democrats. We citizens, as well as our President, were deprived of due process that day, because the representatives and senators who had agreed to ask for evidentiary proof and debate about swing state electoral votes were not heard. They knew no one was listening by that point. It was all about the riot. No good crisis goes to waste. Pence was a loyal VP during 4 years of the Trump presidency. Does he have the Trump pugnaciousness and drive? No--but he shares the same values; and I am grateful for his service and would vote for him again.

Not for one moment have I ever considered Mike Pence to be a good choice to follow Trump. He hasn't got the charisma or the fighting spirit to win an election. That doesn't mean I think he was a poor choice for VP. He did a good job but he reached the pinnacle of his career as VP. He could have gone on to be a happy spokesman for the Trumpian populism/America first movement. Now he has lost that, too.

Sure, what Vice Pres. Pence says is true
However
Pres. Trump needed allies from all quarters to drop the gloves and come out swinging, in his defense *and* ours!
Pence did not drop the gloves, he dropped the BALL.
And We the People are all much worse off because of it. We were not served. Our Nation was not served.
Once the sham of the Jan 6 "riots" had been exposed Pence should have demanded the immediate return to business at the very least for the hearing of Public outcry and on-the-record objection to the nefarious unconstitutional Election conduct of the Blue States.

From the beginning Trump has displayed truly awful judgement in his personnel decisions. Throughout his presidency he was surrounded with people who ignored his agenda and more than a few actively worked against him. His failure to find and appoint actual allies to offices that oversee the bureaus resulted in leftists installed by Obama, Bush and Clinton retaining their power and were able to undermine him at every turn.
Pence showed his moral cowardice when he was governor of Indiana when he retreated (more like was routed) on the religious freedom act Pence headed up the wuflu virus task force for Trump and that ended up endorsing policies that have ruined millions and had more than a little to do with Trump's downfall. Pence, based upon his actions when confronted with real issues requiring real courage and conviction to address has uniformly run for the hills. This latest bit is perfectly in character.

We should have known his cowardice when Pence threw General Flynn under the bus because of a question at an Enemedia interview. Right at the start the knife went in. Then he chose Dr. Fauci for Chinavirus task force. He never recognized the election had been stolen by the Democrats. Pence now has a sinecure at the Heritage Foundation, the think-tank led by a token black woman that gave US Amy Coney Barret, Gorsuch and Kavanaugh. It is amazing all that President Trump the Great achieved all alone surrounded by Republican wolves. He will return because the 75 million Deplorables have become wealthy through capitalist policies and will use their power to support America First against the Globalist anti-American Oligachy. CNN is correct that, "There is no evidence of widespread voter fraud that would have changed the outcome of the 2020 election. What the slim balls at CNN will not tell you is the reason there is "no evidence." It is because the unconstitutional changes made to the election laws eliminated the identification, registration, and verification procedures used to detect and prevent voter fraud. The current bill in the House would rewrite the constitution. Anybody voting for this bill is violating their oath to uphold the constitution. But, why am I not surprised they're Democrats.

There were plenty of Republican senators and congressmen who were challenging the votes from the swing states. The riot halted those challenges.
I give Pence credit, considering how badly Trump treated him that day, for now stating that there are severe problems with various states’ election rules. He should have done so earlier.

The issue on which Pence and Trump differ -- Trump leads. Pence leads from behind.

Pence turned out to be a coward. Disappointing. Like many others in DC he made it about Trump and to hell with the voters. This is going to come to bite a lot of people and viciously.

#48,#71~ What President Trump hoped Vice President Pence would do was not illegal. The Electoral Count Act of 1887 “...aims to minimize Congressional involvement in election disputes, instead placing the primary responsibility to resolve disputes upon the states. The Act sets out procedures and deadlines for the states to follow in resolving disputes, certifying results, and sending the results to Congress.”
Electoral College Certifications were objected to three times by Democrats in the past 20 years. In 2001, “House Democrats challenged the certification of electoral votes for then-Texas Governor George W. Bush, a Republican...” In 2017, Vice President Joe Biden “oversaw certification of the electoral votes that handed the presidency to Donald Trump. House Democrats had challenged the electoral slate. In 2005, Representative Stephanie Tubbs Jones (D, OH) and Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA) “together challenged Bush’s victory in Ohio on grounds of alleged voter irregularities.”
Senator Ted Cruz wanted Congress to “appoint an Electoral Commission, with full investigatory and fact-finding authority to conduct an audit of election results before Inauguration Day on Jan. 20. Once the audit was completed, states would evaluate the Commission’s findings and could convene a special legislative session to certify a change in their vote, if needed.”
The decision Vice President Pence made was his to make; however, there was nothing immoral about pursuing the Constitutional action President Trump wanted to pursue not solely for his personal benefit, but because of the morality in seating a presidential candidate as a result of voter fraud, thereby sanctioning such a precedent for future elections.

Pence isn't saying anything everybody already knows, illegal changes to state voting laws by governors and unelected state officials go unchecked.
The system is designed to make it virtually impossible to hold anybody accountable for election violations. this is a voting rights issue, voters in states that follow the law have their voting rights violated because their electoral vote is impaired by states that don't follow the law.
Don't blame Pence, SCOTUS ducked the most important case in American history that would have simply and constitutionally resolved these issues. It's unclear if they are procedurally blinded to the fact that they represent the third branch of government, a government for the people by the people, or they are just political cowards.

FMA: "“The tragic events of Jan. 6—the most significant being the loss of life and violence at our nation’s Capitol— " The only loss of life arising from the event is the ONE death of an unarmed female protestor shot dead by a Capitol policeman. Three other deaths during the event were from natural causes and another took place a long period of time after and away from the event, also from natural causes.
