Pelosi names Schiff, Nadler as
prosecutors for Trump trial

WASHINGTON — Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced Wednesday that two House chairmen who led President Donald Trump's impeachment inquiry will be among the House prosecutors for Trump's Senate trial. They are Democrats Rep. Adam Schiff, chair of the Intelligence Committee, and Rep. Jerry Nadler, chair of the Judiciary Committee. Trump was impeached by the Democratic-led House last month on charges of abuse of power over his pressure on Ukraine to investigate Democratic rival Joe Biden as Trump withheld aid from the country. He was also charged with obstructing Congress’ ensuing probe.

I wonder what will happen when the Republicans call Adam Schiff to testify....will he get to cross-examine himself?? This is going to be the biggest farce of all time, recent event notwithstanding. Popcorn time!

My guess is that liddle Schiff knew he had to be an impeachment manager from the start, as part of the deal with NAnZI when he came up with his half baked idea. He pushed her to hold the articles in hopes that in time the senate would allow him to run rough shod, or at least get some form of understanding that he would be in charge of calling ALL witnesses for defense and prosecution. That failed. Watch liddle Adam try to justify not being called as a witness because he is a manager. He will also deny the whistle blower from testifying (he has to - or, muh Perjury) to protect said whistle blower who cannot be named. Perhaps a delay until the Supreme Court rules on that? Sounds like liddle Adam, doesn't it?

Can they keep adding unproven stuff once the articles of impeachment have been turned over to the senate? If this is allowed then they can keep making things up and toss it in the mix. Therefore the trial will never end. Do you really think Trump will be allowed to call on his own witnesses. Dems will scream McConnell is siding with the president so he is biased.

Hearing the dishonorable Speaker carrying on about impeachment while invoking Abraham Lincoln and poetry reminded me of Bogart's line in The Maltese Falcon: "The cheaper the crook, the gaudier the patter." Pelosi and Co. are manifestly out of their minds. Trump did it deliberately for our entertainment, not to mention inflicting a politically fatal injury on the Democrats*, who've been played like a tuna. *To the extent that the MSM has been water carriers for the Left, they too will feel the sting of outrageous fortune.

A serious tactical mistake by Pelosi. I can't imagine two worse House Democrats to put in front of the Senate process. Their arrogance and sliminess will not be well received by senators, who already view the House as the "junior chamber" of Congress. Their imperious attitude is going to get serious blowback from the senators. Even the oleaginous Chuck Schumer isn'y going to be able to cover for them.

What an unconscionable pack of life's losers these lefties are. They hate VSG Trump so much they're changing colors like octopi*. I believe some of them hate him so thoroughly they've become demonized, literally. If the Republicans don't hold the Senate, and take back the House in a Trump second term, Democrats will let their totalitarian dreams run wild. Witness what's happening in Richmond, VA as the Democrat governor and legislature seek to undo the Second Amendment and turn law abiding Virginians into felons for holding onto the firearms and magazines they already possess. The Left deserve a thorough drubbing in November. They're not trustworthy with our God given rights. Retire them wholesale. Teach them a lesson. *An old Far Side cartoon of a bespectacled senior octopus at the lectern giving a convention speech to had this caption: "Fellow octopi or octopuses ... octopi? Dang, it's hard to start a speech with this crowd." I miss Gary Larsen and hope he's playing his guitar well. For years his Far Side was the best thing on the newspaper comic page.

Sea level rise, a trend that predates the Industrial Revolution, is being blamed on CO2 emissions, and has become one of the most potent harangues used to guilt-trip the populace of major industrial countries over the use of carbon-based energy. If the Trump era has taught us anything, it's that large numbers of white people in the United States are motivated at least in part by racism in the voting booth. Donald Trump ran an openly racist campaign for president, calling Mexicans rapists and criminals, regularly retweeting white supremacists and at least initially balking at repudiating former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke. Trump made it clear in his campaign that "Make America Great Again" meant that America was greater when white people's power was more sweeping and more secure. White voters approved of that message by a whopping 58 percent to 37 percent.

President Donald Trump made a stark appeal to black Americans during the 2016 election when he asked, “What have you got to lose?” Three years later, black Americans have rendered their verdict on his presidency with a deeply pessimistic assessment of their place in the United States under a leader seen by an overwhelming majority as racist. The findings come from a Washington Post-Ipsos poll of African Americans nationwide, which reveals fears about whether their children will have a fair shot to succeed and a belief that white Americans don’t fully appreciate the discrimination that black people experience.
