A medical student from China who U.S. authorities say tried to smuggle cancer research material taken from a Boston hospital out of the country has been held without bail by a judge who ruled he was a flight risk.
Zaosong Zheng, 29, who last year earned a visa sponsored by Harvard University to study in the U.S., appeared Monday in U.S. District Court in Boston. (snip) Beth Israel, a Harvard-affiliated teaching hospital, has fired Zheng and is cooperating with authorities, a spokeswoman said.
"We are deeply proud of the breadth and depth of our research programs," Jennifer Kritz said.

Anyone living in Boston and Cambridge must have noticed that the population on the streets often is aknist 100% Asian. I have walked for blocks without seeing anyone but Chinese... and as for the Malls, they are filled with these materialistic, acquisitive people. Apparently they are thieves as well. Academia doesn't care as long as they are paying full freight. The cognoscenti call them 'honorary whites.' My a**. They are a blight.

Wait just a doggone minute. I thought there was a quota of Asians allowed into Ivory Tower Universities. Oh, wait my bad. Just American citizens of Asian descent, right?

Like Africa, are the Chinese government taking over America from the inside without firing a single shot?
Any research on how many Chinese are legally and illegally in America from the last dozen years? Especially during the Clinton and Doorknob Hussein's administrations. Don't be surprised by the numbers.

No surprise as that is what the Communist Chinese government instructs Chinese foreign students to do when they get to America. By now incidents like this one, stealing US technology by Chinese students, should not be surprising news.

Chinese are the best cheaters in the world. The Middle Eastern thugs are sloppy and crude, but the Red Chinese are really sneaky and clever. This was very evident in university classes.

Reds caught red handed stealing IP. Round 2 of the trade deal will have to address this or it means nothing.

The government will not stop issuing student visas for any foreigners, not along Chinese students, as foreign students must pay the full tuition and living expenses to American colleges and universities. That’s a lot of money, some of which can be used to influence a lot of UniParty DC politicians.

The "Scorpion & Frog" tale describes China to a T. Don't expect a "Phase 1" deal to be a great advantage to the US except for some long-suffering American farmers. If "Phase 2" includes Intellectual Property provisions, expect China to break these with impunity since China operates similarly to how the Left in America operates: "The ends justify the means." Eight years of Obama have weakened our military capability such that China is or will be in a position to challenge America. What will Trump DO when China, now a formidable opponent due to the Obama "sequestration," annexes TAIWAN?

Why innovate when one can just steal the technology.

And this should be the anticipated misbehavior of EVERY Chinese national allowed to study or work in the US. They are not to be trusted.

Good thing this China man did this in MA because Cuomo would have let him loose to go back to China with no bail. Effective l Jan, there's practically no crime you could commit that you won't be released on bail. NY has officially become a crime sanctuary. Any wonder why citizens are leaving?

Harvard can’t let in too many Americans of Asian descent because they’ve already exceeded their quota of Asians by admitting Chinese nationals. It's a cheap way for the Chinese to send in spies—and the colleges love the money.

I have been saying this for the lt 30 years: Every Chinese national in the west regardless of their status: permanent resident, diplomat, student, visiting scholar, down to your run of the mill tourists is a spy for the PRC governemtn. The progress of the Chinese government, industry and economy has all been achieved on the back of the research, development, and intellectual investment in the collective West. Even cooperative investment in economic activity in China or with the Chinese everywhere else has been achieved on the basis of compulsory transfer of technological and industrial know how to the Chinese with nothing in return except cheap labor.

We really do need to stop letting ANY Chinese work in our country, especially in any sort of a high tech industry. Maybe making fortune cookies or egg rolls might be OK, but nothing more advanced should be permitted of Chinese.
