Don’t Count On Romney

Original Article

Posted By: tisHimself, 12/22/2019 7:22:50 AM

David Ignatius must be kidding: Who might deliver us from this national train wreck? Who could restore a sense of balance to the Senate trial so that, whatever its outcome, it doesn’t feed Trump’s false narrative of victimization and populist rage? There’s one obvious answer: Sen. Mitt Romney of Utah, the 2012 Republican presidential nominee and custodian of what remains of his party’s moral and political balance. Counting on Mitt Romney for political courage and moral leadership is always a bad bet. Romney has a very safe seat in Utah, so in theory he could afford to take risks, but taking political risks is exactly what Romney never does.

Mittens is jealous and wants the POTUS job. Everybody knows that. And he shivs PDJT every chance he gets, except when he wants a favor. The bigger question is, how could David Ignatius possibly not know that? Is he actually that stupid or is he just pretending? Or he is so delusional about the state of play in US politics that he can't interpret what he sees?

One of the mistakes I often make is assuming that Republicans are conservative. They are not. They are just as big government, globalist as the demorcrat/communists, and for the same reason; power and money. They have no ideology beyond that. The party bosses in Utah should be ashamed of themselves for importing that east coast carpetbagger and foisting him on the citizens, but they are probably incapable of shame.

Although David Larison is spot on about Romney in this article, it's worth remembering he's a headliner at a publication that encouraged us to vote Democrat in the 2006 mid-terms. A publication that, in its short history, has gone from bi-weekly to a bi-monthly issue for a reason. Romney is champing at the bit to get into the 2020 race against PDT. Don't kid yourself. He will jump in and take over his campaign organization-in-waiting from Bill Weld. But the numbers have to go south for PDT, and it isn't happening. Someone with a "name" will declare, likely Jeff Flake, to gain a few delegates and trash PDT along the long way to the convention. Think Pat Buchanan...'92. Then a "name" GOPe moderate will declare as a third-party candidate...the '20 Ross Perot. The object is to protect the UNIPARTY and its profiteering from further exposure and the one candidate who has pledged to drain the swamp.

However, Romney has attack President Trump in the past, even after he helped Romney get elected to the Senate. There’s something unattractive about a mature woman marrying into the British Royal family with one of the world’s most expensive weddings, hanging out with the Queen, living in insane luxury…and then whining non-stop about the horror of her life. There’s something even less appealing when that woman accuses the Royal family of race hatred.
