While speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Senator Mitt Romney (R-UT) reacted to calls to reveal the whistleblower’s identity by stating that whistleblowers, especially those speaking about government action, “should be allowed to remain confidential.”
Romney said, “My own view is that whistleblowers, particularly those that are blowing whistles on action within the government, should be allowed to remain confidential.”

Never one to ponder the beauty of the unspoken thought.
Thanks, Barkey, back to jabbering at the passing caravan.

See, Willard, the thing is, this isn't a "whistleblower" we're talking about here. He's / they're deep-state coup-plotters attempting to reverse the election of our President; pure and simple. Geez man, you're always clueless. Utah, please fix this.

What do we have to do to get a Trump rally in Utah? I know we aren't that important electorally, but it would sure be fun to stick it to Mitt (who would probably show up, expecting the adulation of the crowd)!

Pierre Delecto, should this also be true when a whistleblower finally comes forward regarding your carried-interest scheme at Bain Capital? Why is it you were allowed to benefit from this loophole, but, us commoners can't? Oh, I forgot. You deep staters write the tax laws for your benefit, not mine.

This piece of human debris would love for this whole issue to disappear. He has a connection to the Burisma issue through his 2012 national security adviser and CIA spook Joseph Colfer Black who is on the board as reported here on Sept 26:

People have supported Romney at various points in time for different reasons. (I had to vote for him in 2012 because the alternative was worse.) In 2018, there was no such need or excuse. I reiterate my thoughts at the time:
"Do everything possible to stop this man from successfully regaining political power.... If elected to the Senate, he will provide essential 'bipartisan' validation to charges made against the President by Democrats. In that sense, he would be worse than a Democrat. He will provide active aid and comfort to the enemy and betray us all. He will try to remove our President from office. Stop him. Vote for Anyone But Romney."

My theory --- Romney's strict open border advocacy is at the core of his dislike for President Trump. NumbersUSA, which grades members of Congress on immigration issues, rates Romney at 0 percent.

Oh Willard, just shut up. You are beclowning yourself and giving aid and comfort to the enemy. A grown man desperately seeking the praise of the media and elites is embarrassing. It’s as if you don’t even know what you are talking about. Go look up the terms spy and mole then get back to us. Your mouth is writing checks your brain can’t cash.

I think the Press is giving Romney what he wants: a platform to go after Trump, no matter what. Unfortunately, the Press is 98% Democratic, so they will continue. But I think MOST Republicans (including, I would assume, a large number of those who voted for him) recognize his motives and his constant appearances on camera. HE thinks he is noble; WE know he is just bitter.

Is Mitt upset at Schiff?
When Schiff released the Bill Taylor transcript of his meeting in Schiff's closed-door meeting he included the name of Eric Ciaramella

My own view is that whistleblowers should not be anonymous. You try to destroy someone else, they should know your name and be allowed to defend themselves.

Go Rand Paul for having the guts to stand up to the Squishy Republicans.

Why is Romney so nervous about the Ukraine? I think I saw reference lately to some Burisma ties. Actually, I think this is not only personal, but financial-personal. Good ole pols.

Wait till someone blows a whistle against Pierre and see how his tune changes. He has opinions for all occasions. Differing opinions.
He isn’t educated enough to know that this rumorblower, gossipblower, 5th column spy, is not a real whistleblower. He could have read that if he looked in the right places. But golly, that wouldn’t have fit the narrative he wanted to put out…. such a dilemma...

Whistle blowing is not a constitutionally protected right. The right to confront and cross-examine the witnesses against you is.

Excuse the second post. Andy McCarthy argues today that the Confrontation clause only applies in criminal cases. A host of appellate courts, including very recently the Second District Court of Appeal in California, have reversed student disciplinary proceedings based on the university having denied the expelled student the right to confront and cross-examine the complaining witness. The Confrontation Clause in fact has been oft-stated to be the underlying basis for the evidentiary rule against hearsay. In the academic discipline setting the Confrontation Clause has been invoked by the courts as an essential element of due process under the 14th Amendment. Eventually I expect this issue will make it to SCOTUS.

Put me down for one who dislikes Mitt more each day. I still can't figure what is so important that he risks his own legacy to obtain.
He is viewed with different eyes by many is an understatement IMO.
How do you whistle blow to "the government"? And how do you control the leaky sieve of other politicians seeking attention?

If you have a legitimate complaint, it is best discussed in the sunlight. Only liars and frauds seek anonymity.Pierre. Those who would lead us should be brave enough to stand forth in truth and encourage others to do so. Rummey is a weasel.

I got diagnosed of Herpes in 2018 I have visited several hospitals but all to no avail, my world was gradually coming to an end but i keep believing there is cure. I saw a post in a health forum from miss cherlyn solie on how she was cured from herpes with the use of Robinson Buckler herbs and she also wrote Robinson Buckler cure all kind of deadly diseases including Herpes, HIV, ALS, HPV, HSV1&2, MND, Epilepsy, Leukemia, Asthma, Cancer, Diabetes. At first i doubted if it was real but decided to give it a try and i contacted this herbal Doctor on email (Robinsonbuckler@ yahoo. com) and explain my problem to him and he told me that he is going to prepare a herbal medicine for me which he did and he sent it to me through UPS service, when i received this herbal medicine, he gave me instructions on how to use it, after taken the medicine as instructed, i went for check up and the result shows negative and i was cured of this deadly disease within a week, I am now free from Herpes. You can contact Robinson Buckler on his email or Whatsapp phone number +1 (502) 443 8691.... https://www.robinbuckler.com
