House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is being politically smart by holding off on a formal Trump impeachment vote on the chamber floor, according to Brit Hume. (Snip) A full vote, the Fox News senior political analyst said, would expose vulnerable Democratic lawmakers--especially those in districts won by President Trump in 2016--to a vote that could hurt them politically. This way, she gets to get all the fruits of this peculiar investigation that she announced going on, and none of the downsides," he said.

Britt is a snarky deep state reporter, his touting the Fox poll (that has now been proven a sham) as proof that Dems now and will continue to convince majority that POTUS should be impeached AND removed is total BS.

If the President had done something so wrong as to require impeachment, then there would be none of this hanky pinky nonsense going on. It’s all a ploy to try and weaken Trump. It’s not working. As for Hume, he lost a lot of credibility bringing up that obvious flawed poll as if that defines with perfection the mood of the country. Is he really that stupid or was he trying to troll Trump?

If she had the votes, she wouldn't call the vote anyway. She's perfectly happy to run the secret Kangaroo court with Shifty Shiff and play the role of the Mad Queen -- punish first, trial later. She plans to come up with some crazy impeachment report but will NEVER submit it to the full House. Mr. Barr and Mr. Durham need to speed up their efforts and start taking some coup plotters on perp walks.

It's not about politics and who can outsmart the other. What they're doing is about overturning an election and destroying a nation. How I wish the voters would see through the congress critters who are more worried about reelection than the health of our nation.

I'm surprised at the attacks on Brit. He is doing analysis. Pelosi realizes she does not have the votes, and the best she can do politically with this disaster that Schifferbrains and she has created is to delay. It is a mess and is not going to get better. And I am 99% sure that Brit does not wear a hairpiece, what a ridiculous personal attack. Personal attacks come when you have nothing substantive to add. I do not always agree with Brit, but I think he generally gives his opinion as he sees it. He is no conservative, but a fairly reasonable middle of the roader most of the time.

Oh, so she's smart not to have a vote? I guess so if you want to demonstrate to the whole country how corrupt you are by not allowing the Republicans to subpoena witnesses or even the simple courtesy of questioning the ones the demonrats called or for the accused to defend himself. It's a replay of the CommieCare bill where Republicans were locked out of the room, weren't allowed questions or witnesses until those corrupt demonrats came up with that filthy unaffordable CommieCare for those who weren't unionized or goobermint politicians. The rest of us got to pay through the nose for the freebee crowd and the politicians while getting no benefits. Just pay, pay, pay. Demonrats are liars and totally corrupt!

Pelosi is evil. Pelosi is corrupt, literally. But the truth is, that within her evil, corrupt little moves, this is the POLITICALLY smartest move she had left. It doesn't mean I like it, or that I like here, or anything like that to say it. It also doesn't mean I approve, or that it is on any scale but the weird, distorted and often evil scale of politics that it is any kind of ACTUALLY smart. She si playing here evil, grubby, antiAmerican, destructive game as well as she can. I hope she is steamrolled.
